Arrival of a new face(Sarah)

"Like I said you have nothing to worry about, the Professor knows not to dwell deep into another's mind."Lance assured her, knowing it was a scary thought but he had never known the Professor to do such a thing except contact them when needed. Least only in extreme cases would that ever happen or when they would face an enemy who couldn't be stopped by normal means."Well then still plenty to see and like Laurie said wait till you see the library."

About an hour and half later Lance was finally leading them to the lobby again, knowing they now had covered the inside of the four floors of the mansion. Though of course they had lingered in the library since Sarah had said she loved books, so he was fine to stay for a bit longer before they continued. Though he knew they now had the outside to take care of the outside, but of course there was the fact of covering the sub-levels beneath the mansion.

"By the way Sarah and Suzanna before we continue I wanted to cover on something else before we go outside. You see we may have a training time outside but we also have one inside, only it's beneath this school since we also have a few sub floors where the X-men meet, some engineer labs, a medical center, and something we call the danger room."He explained to them, knowing this would really be the way to know if Suzanna would be comfortable Sarah being there. "The Danger Room is actually a lot bigger and sometimes were many of our older students and us X-men train, though we also have some combat training rooms along side it."

Sarah nodded when Lance and Laurie said the Professor would never read into her mind. Well that was good but still she did not like the idea of someone having that kind of power.. So she guessed she was glad someone like him who would never abuse it had that gift. Sarah and Suzanna, followed Lance and Laurie to the other places he wanted to show. When they came to the library. She was amazed at how huge it was, when it came time to leave Sarah almost did not want to go. But she had to see the rest of this place. When the tour came to end Sarah was so excided she could not wait to come here. But then Lance started to talk about the training places. And the one called the danger room sounded scary.

Suzanna did not know ifshe liked the sound of that, she then looked at Sarah and she looked back at her mother. As if the two where speaking to each other useing their minds for what seemed like a few minutes. Suzanna then looked at Lance, " Would it be possbile to see the Danger room? I would like to know what my daughter is getting into." Suzanna asked. Not that she was scared she knew there would be danger's to be a hero so the training had to hard. In fact she wished her husbend would have had something like this. But he was a solo hero and did most of his training by himself. Here Sarah would have people to help her so she was not as worried as most people would have been.

Like she had thought Laurie could see Suzanna and Sarah looking a little scared at the thought of the Danger Room and the only thing she could do was wait along with Lance. And after a few minutes they both seemed to want to see the training room many of them used, though mostly older students like her and the X-men used it. Still the young woman had to wonder if this would deter Sarah's initial excitement in wanting to stay there knowing now just how far they went to help with powers. Hopefully it wouldn't frighten her too much.

Following Lance onto the elevator they both waited until Suzanna and Sarah were on the elevator until Lance pressed the button to head down to the sub-levels. But silently they exchanged a glance, deciding who would be the one to demonstrate how the Danger Room worked until they finally reached the bottom, Laurie nodding that she would be the one. Even if she was more then reluctant to get into the Danger Room since she wasn't that big on training. But it was the only way to convince the two girls that everything was fine, especially for students and another chance Laurie could practice with her own abilities.

After Laurie gave them a meek smile and telling them she hoped they would enjoy the show she left their side to go to the locker room. There she changed out of her clothes to reveal more of the exoskeleton that covered her entire body which someone would have wondered if she was nude when in reality she wasn't. It was just a habit to wear clothes all the time since she had done so all her life so when leaving the locker room she headed to the large sliding doors of the Danger Room, stepping inside and looking towards the observation room, seeing them inside while they could see her. It seemed several more markings were visible on Laurie's blue 'costume' and looking determined to do a good job."Alright Lance let's do this!"She called before he nodded and pressed a few buttons before several large claw handed tendrils came from a few panels.

Immediately Laurie took action, flying up at mach 3 speeds, her form taking an almost rocket like shape to help with resistance, easily dodging around the large claws. But as she came to a hover in the air her form once more seemed to take on a further transformation into an aline-like mermaid, her body growing in height. Her arm protrusions extended at a sharp angle into what looked like spikes in three different lengths and her arm protrusions extended out as well while large fin-like wings formed on her back. Her legs seemed to come together to form a mermaid tail, with fins along her the sides of her legs and forming from her feet. Her hair grew out to reach down to her now long body, being about 12 feet tall, the bone protrusions of her head extending slightly like her hair and some along her neck, and her face seemed to no long have a visible mouth or nose except a more angular one with silver-white eyes and her pointed ears.

This however allowed her to move with a few strong flaps of her wings and swish of her tail, partly hitting away a few tendrils and striking down another her her large hands, showing how much her form seemed to help her gain some upper hand to hold them off or her maneuverability came into play to be able to coil and wind around them when they tried to wrap around her.

As three of the claws once more came towards Laurie she quickly wove around them before moving swiftly downward, returning to normal in the lower air pressures of the danger room and now looking like a blue blur. Though the speeds she went at would have likely damaged someone on a normal circumstance. But her body just seemed to change in a way that when she did slow down enough they could see a visible change of a more rocket-dynamic form that didn't even slow her down.

The tendrils meanwhile seemed to slow to really catch the blue skinned mutant, and were striking in different directions where she had once been. But in a matter of minutes the tendrils were soon entangled in one another to the point they could only twitch and wiggle around without being of any threat now. Coming to a stop and watching as the large tendrils were retracted she looked back towards the observation room,"Lance I think you made that too easy!"She called while hovering in place and back to normal now.

Sarah felt relieved that the training show was over. She was impressed by Laurie's skills and hoped one day she could use her powers that good someday. When Lance spoke to her Sarah turned to look at him. Well ether she was easy to read like a open book or Lance was just really good at reading people. Sarah nodded and smiled weakly, well she was glad to hear that but even though they would never put her in a training that was to hard Sarah still could not help but feel uneasy and nervous. But she knew she had to over come all that if she wanted to be a hero someday. Sarah nodded, "I- I know.. This is just all so new is all." Sarah said.

Suzanna looked at Sarah, " Well dear, I see no reason not to let you come here, Though in the end its not my choice its yours. So you want to start coming here Sarah?" Suzanna asked. Sarah was a little shocked her mother had asked that. Sarah looked at her mother as her mind raced. She then sooned made up her mind, Sarah then looked at Lance with a look of determination." I want to start coming to this school. If I don't learn how to control my powers I will be a danger to those around me... And its also something I know my Dad would have wanted, even though he is no longer here I want to do somnething that would have made him proud." Sarah said then waited for Lance's answer.

Sarah smiled, this was it. her life was changing and for the better. She knew she would no longer have to fear hurting people. She would become strong and use her powers to help others, she would make her Mother proud and her Father if he was still here. When Lance said it was time to start getting her ready and settled in she nodded, "I can't wait sir." Sarah said with a smile and looked at her mother. Suzanna smiled it had been two years since she had seen her daughter so happy. After her Father died it seemed something in her died as well. Though Suzanna also knew that feeling, she had lost her life mate.. it still hurt but she had to stay strong. Are there any paper work I must fill out?"Suzanna asked.
