Ooc: Time: 2:00 pm Within one of New York's bars. Lol again with the strange titles that I think of. Anyone is free to join this rp thread I was just having fun with Alhora. Bic: Alhora had been working at a bar for nearly a year now as her mother had placed her in New York. The Bar had served not only as a safe haven of where she could speak about some things and listen to the gossip that other people would often talk about, but it also gave her a decent amount of money that she had saved up. She was disguised as a human, about five foot ten, not too tall not too short and she seemed rather appealing to most men. She also had what looked like an embedded tatoo on her left shoulder one that was a deep x. No one had realy asked her yet of what it meant, and she was glad for that. In the bar she was known as Alhora, but perferred the nickname Ally for short. It wasn't one she truely cared for, but it at least gave her another name before people got suspitious of her name origins. She had been cleaning some of the dirty cups in the sink as she looked up after hearing the door open. The day was a bit of a slow one, probably because it was still in the time when people worked. They were smart enough not to come to get one while working and then be a drunken fool later. Though the ones that did come in were probably the younger people who didn't have a job and had money borrowed from other people or came on dates. Either way she would probably be expecting a crowd later tonight. "What can I get you sir?" She asked him as she put the cup down to let it dry on one of the racks. There was now a smirk on her face. "I'll have a vodka ma'dame." He said as he took out his wallet, however she put her hand in front of him. Allowing him to see each of her carefully done nales that had looked like she had gone to a hair stylist within the past week. Her nails were a bright red, the same color as a part of her hair. "Not yet sir I want to see if you like it first." Alhora said still with the smirk as she came over to where the drinks were and began to pour it along with the additional other ingredients that were needed in it. And to top it all off, she placed one of the small plastic umbrellas in the top to make it a bit stylish as she sent it down the bar table towards him so he could take it and began to drink. "Well how do you like it?" She asked him waiting for an answer. She looked up again seeing that there was someone else starting to come in the bar wondering who it'd be.

Lance was kind of glad for a few days off here and there besides the weekends, and today it was one of his lucky days he could have to himself. Yes, he loved to help the students and being able to help bring out their full potentials of their powers or being able to do their best when it came to gym class but sometimes he needed time to himself as well. It was something though that rarely happened, especially New York. Being a teacher now Lance realized he had new responsibilities and other things to handle.
Today though he was taking his chance to have the day off and trying to relax. So there he was heading to the dining strip which had a couple bars here and there, not unlike the Red District but certainly more of in the less shady people side. Honestly he tended to avoid the Red Light District out of worry of running into someone he had done a deal with, stolen from, or even what remained of his family on the criminal side. No he didn't want to be pulled back into such a life, already still struggling to turn his life around with being a teacher and an X-man now. It wasn't easy but it was certainly a place to start and he had enjoyed his time at the school enough he wanted to help there now.
With finding a bar that seemed to have a slow crowd at the moment Lance stepped inside, taking a quick glance around and seeing few people. Least it wasn't quite busy which was a relief to the psionic energy controlling mutant. Coming up to the bar he took a seat before ordering a few beers from one of the other bar tenders but keeping to himself as he normally did. Taking his first one he began to sip it, quietly listening to those speaking around him and listening for any news of trouble.

Alhora had heard of the X-Men no doubt, of course being a part of the Brotherhood that was a different story. The Brotherhood and X-Men were almost like rivals since their leaders had been so close to each other. As Alhora saw that the man had approved the drink he asked how much money he owed here. She looked over glancing at the sign that held the prices, the vodka was one of the more pricier drinks that they had sold there, but the man didn't seem to be disappointed at all as he slapped fifteen dollars on the table for the drink. It could have also been that in the city things were much more expensive up there as well. She smiled taking the money and gave it to one of the other waitors to put into the cash register.
She did look back at Lance though, something striking about him made her wonder. Had she seen him before? It was likely that. But she wasn't about to approach him out of the blue with that question. She came over to his side of the table to see if he needed anything else to drink or eat, "Is everything alright sir? Need anything else?" She asked, almost as if their was a smirk forming on her face. As she looked closer at him. Maybe he had, he looked a bit old to be one of the students there, though maybe he was a teacher. That was possible.

To Lance's knowledge the Brotherhood had long since been disbanded and from what he heard the former leader, Magneto, was traveling the world to change himself. Whether or not anything had changed was a mystery to the younger X-man but at the moment he really found no reason to worry since at the moment their biggest concern were mutant haters. And then again rarely did they worry about much trouble from them at the moment. Next to the Brotherhood being disbanded the Sentinels had long since been stopped and were also thought to be gone. Now all they had done was relax, take care of the students, and making sure the school ran smoothly.
Lance was hardly paying attention to Alhora and the other customer, his gaze somewhat set more on the TVs or listening to gossip more then about the drinks. But this attention shifted as Alhora approached him, noticing her smirk but remained almost neutral to anything she might be planning. "No everything is just fine miss, just enjoying a couple drinks."He assured her as he set his first empty bottle down wondering if there was another motive behind that smirk Alhora had.
"So you been working here for long?"He asked her casually, just striking up a conversation to see if he could get anything out of her or ease into asking what she was up to. That's if she was up to anything. For all Lance knew she could just be a woman who enjoyed flirting with handsome guys, which apparently some women had complimented him on but Lance never tried to let that get to his head. Still with his experience he was cautious around others he hardly knew.

"Alright just making sure." Alhora said as she brushed some of her red hair out of her way to make sure that it wouldn't be in her face. "I've been here for about a year now. It may not be much but I have certainly learned a lot from this first year of being here." Alhora said. Sure she was flirting a bit with him, it never hurt to do much. Some men could take a lot, while others weren't at all like that. Lance now seemed like a man that could handle quiet a bit from what it seemed. All she had to do for some was bat her eyes and smile a bit to make them stare and drool at her back. If anything she was trying to get some information out of them for her mother. And since a lot of them were humans, it was pretty hard to try and find a mutant out of them since a lot of the mutants him.
"But I have a feeling if you come here enough we could be good friends." She offered wondering if she would state her name. But instead for now, she decided to give out her nickname that she used around the bar. "By the way, they call me Ally around here for a nickname." she added.
Ooc: Sorry for the shortness /wacks it/

"Well when your in New York long enough you can learn quite a lot, but trying being here most of your life and you catch on to most tricks of the trade."Lance said with a nod, shifting slightly in his seat to lean on the counter slightly, his elbow resting on the edge to give him better support. It was just a better position so he could face Alhora and speak with her without having to keep looking up each time.
Though when it came to the matter of easily being caught up with a woman flirting with him wasn't something easy. Lance did find a woman attractive now and again but rarely did he fall under the spell of a woman's flirtatious advances, which at this moment Alhora was no different but he was enjoying her company at the moment at least. What he didn't suspect though was that she was trying to discover if he was a mutant or get information, something that didn't cross his mind. But at the same time he still seemed a little guarded with the woman, something he did with everyone.
"Hm, perhaps Ally. But I am not much of drinking every day but I might come around now and again to see you."He told her before setting his drink down,"And my name is Lance Bond."He added as he held out a hand to her to shake if she wanted to.

"That is true. But I won't be surprised if my mom moves us again. It happens so often now." Alhora said with a shrug as she looked back at Lance. Though she did give him a smile at what he had to say. It was all an act though, more time to spend with the man that she thought was a mutant. But would he be surprised that even he was coming across a mutant? She wouldn't know until she revealed her true blue form out of no where.
"That would be nice. Maybe I can convince her to stay around long enough. After all, I've been doing so well here I don't think I'd want to move so soon again. Not to mention it gets tiring after moving three or four times." Alhora said with a sigh as she thought about it. Though, as she thought about it, half of it was real. But the truth was hidden in plane sight, obviously. Since she had been working so long she put her hands on the colorful table that had seated several people for so long. There was plenty of memories that came out of this room that one may not even be able to contain.

Moved so often? Now why would they be moving so often? Lance could only guess Alhora's mother traveled a lot and that might be the cause of them moving from place to place all the time. But another question that crossed his mind was why was Alhora letting her mother make those decisions? Certainly she could do that herself. Well, even so it was not his place to judge or call her out on it. And like Lance normally did he did not inquire about it since it was not his business of the reasons nor of what her past could be like.
"That's a shame you move so much Ally, I only ever moved once when I was young but I have been here for twelve years so New York has become my real home compared to where I was raised only a small fraction of my life."He told her, but didn't reveal much more then that to others since he was rather iffy with his past. Though he wouldn't exactly mind if she was a mutant, especially since he was around them every day and nearly all day when it came to the student body back at the school. One just kind of got use to it.
Finishing his drink Lance was about to say something else before he heard some of the more drunken men getting rowdy and pestering a few girls nearby. "Ey, why don't you drunkards leave those girls alone, they already told you to hit the road."Lance called to them as the four men looked at Lance and merely laughed, their teetering making it plainly obvious they were drunk of their asses. "And what are you going to do about eh pretty boy?"One of the men said as they approached, the smell of alcohol heavy on their breathe and clothes."I'll make you."Lance said in a calm tone making the men howl in laughter and one shoving Lance roughly against the counter,"There's four of us and one of you, what could you..."The man was suddenly silent, his eyes rolling back into his head as he twitched uncontrollably before falling into a heap on the floor,Lance's eyes glowing an indigo color along with an indigo psionic aura showing around him, sparks dancing across his body.
The other three men quickly backed off,"He's a mutant freak! Let's go!"The frightened tone made Lance grimace slightly, two of the men picking up their friend who had his brain briefly shut down to his movements becoming utterly paralyzed and mind numb. But Lance had not intended to become slightly angry, knowing sometimes he couldn't help his powers when he got that way and the glowing soon disappeared, leaving several of the spectators in shock as Lance sat back down.

"Well looks like you're not the only mutant that's in the bar at this hour." Alhora said wondering now if it was a good time to explain it to him. Yet would he listen to him for the truth? Well in a way she had told him half of it. But her other half of the story she had kept quiet, and seeing was one thing, while believing was another. The moment left her a bit surprised, and she had to admit, Lance was a strong fighter. She then wondered just how well the two would do if they were in a fight together. Alhora had her bone claws, her shape shifting and not to mention her weapons. Lance had his powers too, but she wasn't afraid of them like the humans were.
"You see I haven't told you the truth, at least not all of it. The reason why my mother moved was because we're both mutants." She said in a low and hushed voice, aware that there were still other people at the bar who hadn't been phased by the sudden realization that there were mutants in the building. For all she knew, some of them could have been mutants themselves. She however was more interested in Lance at this point. The others, were small and a minority.
"But not only that, my father is a mutant. I never met him, but my mother said I gained some of his powers. Maybe some other time I can give you a demonstration, here isn't the greatest place to do it after the trouble stirred." Alhora said wondering if Lance would accept this invitation. She was not flirting with him now, she was serious about it. Everything in her tone, the way she looked, and how she talked was certainly the truth. But it was up to lance to see what would happen next.
But as for the run in with the humans. She wasn't hurt or surprised, at least a rather small amount at least. She kept that surprise hidden from view as she had done over the years. Her own encounters with humans were not good, just like this one, as she had nearly stabbed several men with her new bone claws when her first powers were unleashed and triggered. This reminded her of that moment that happened so long ago.

Taking a moment to gather himself Lance turned back to listen to Alhora, but didn't seem surprised by the news that she was a mutant. But it did answer some of his suspicions before when they were talking, just before the four humans had decided to confront him about telling them off. And the more he listened the more the story she had told him before, or at least what she was willing to reveal at this time, made all the more sense. Though he had a guess that the reason they moved around so much was because no one accepted Alhora and her mother for being what they were.
"Doesn't surprise me one bit that your a mutant yourself Ally,"Lance said in a more hushed voice now, not wanting to reveal any more despite the fact some people could be one too in the bar. "And guess it just further proves why you are hiding or keeping a low profile and to why you moved so much. My parents were just ordinary humans though, so didn't have much reason to move around and all."He explained to her but again revealed very little more of his past, still being as guarded as her when it came to his past. Seemed the one thing they had in common besides them both being mutants were a checkered past they were not too keen on revealing right away.
But he also took a moment to think on her offer before nodding,"Well if you wish to demonstrate one of these days I wouldn't mind coming around to see that for myself. And as you can see you've gotten a taste of my powers, psychic element manipulation."He added, wondering what powers Alhora could possibly have that she couldn't show right there and now. But it would be rude to press for her to show him when she wasn't comfortable doing so and they would have to figure out a meeting place to do anything. With her no longer flirting with him as well Lance didn't question her more serious demeanor as it only proved to show she was telling the truth to some extent.
