On the run. ( Lance)

It hadn't taken Lance but a short couple hours to get to Jamestown in the smaller jet, much smaller than the Blackbird. It could only first likely a small squad within it. At the most six people could only fit inside it in total and he had landed it outside the town before he had entered it and began asking around. Lance was thorough, asking different people and describing his student to the last detail of what he remembered and there were quite a few who seemed to know Sarah. Or had heard something from the train incident due to friends and media, which he eventually came to hear she had been seen around town a few times which lead him to a few shops but almost to dead ends each time until finally no one knew where she was which made Lance frustrated as he was searching around on his own.

Crossing his arms as Lance tried to think of where else to look he sighed as he couldn't help but kick himself mentally over this. If he hadn't left Sarah wouldn't have left herself and they wouldn't be in this mess. Not to mention he wouldn't be surprised if she hated him. "Man, Sarah where are you?"He said aloud to himself, having taken a random dirt path, his hands in his pockets as he walked and looking at the ground deep in thought. Though he was unaware that he was actually walking the opposite direction of his student.

Though it was at that moment that Lance looked up and he stopped with shock when he saw her. It was Sarah! After all this searching he happened across her on this dirt path but it seemed she was bolting away off this path right then and it made him wonder if she had seen him as well. If she had Lance feared a bit what her emotions might be but he didn't come this far to let her out of his sight again. "Sarah!" He finally called out and quickly took off after her, dashing off the path after the teen mentally preparing himself for anything she might have to throw at him. "Sarah, come back! I need to talk to you!"He called out to her.

"Sarah..."Lance stopped himself from speaking and pushed his body to moved faster, forcing his long legs to move in longer strides so he could catch up. He had to stop Sarah so she could stop and listen to him or at least here him out now so she knew the full story. The least Lance could do was also apologize to Sarah and he would understand if she didn't forgive him. But the two ran for a few minutes before Lance finally was able to get a hold of Sarah's arm, getting a firm grip and coming to a quick halt. "Sarah, please just for a few minutes give me a chance to explain."He told her.

Lance grunted as he was hit, in the exact same spot where Kitty hit earlier and he knew where a small bruise had already began to form already. Well there was going to definitely be one there now which made him rub the area without flinching as he merely looked at her with a stern gaze. "Don't talk then, listen." He told her, ignoring the gradual change in temperature as he had come to figure out the coldness came from Sarah's emotions. Lance had recalled when Sarah had struggled with her abilities at one point and had come to a block with them, which had at one point been with her emotions but this time it was from her emotions they likely would be his own danger.

"Sarah, I left because I thought I was doing what was best for the school and the squad at the time. There have been demons of my past that came back to haunt me, which I'm sure you recall when those police came to arrest me they honestly had every right to but the beating was unnecessary but that was an eye opener and these past several weeks it's been affecting my work and after the training session with you and the others I thought that was another screw up on my part." Lance explained to her, not giving Sarah a chance to run or protest. He took a moment to catch his breathe and continued, "If Kitty hadn't come and searched me out , and punched me as you did yourself, and talked sense into me I wouldn't be here now and perhaps all the answers I've needed are at the manor but right now my main concern has been for your safety. When I heard you ran off you had me worried sick."

"I know the training wasn't my fault Sarah, as I said I let my own emotions at the time affect my own judgments and for that my views have suffered. Because of that I wouldn't expect you and the others to give me any slack for that." Lance assured her, having coming to terms with the matter that he jumped to conclusions and allowed it to be the final thing that drove him away. The rest though had seemed reasonable cause to avoid causing further trouble for the school but now he had to try and make amends and regrow those friendships he had before. But as Sarah continue on of what happened after he couldn't help sighing softly, knowing he would have to talk to Emma about that as soon as he could get a hold of her.

Looking at Sarah he stepped closer and actually pulled the young mutant into a close embrace, hugging Sarah closely despite knowing he might get hit again. "She had no right to do that Sarah and I am quite proud of what you did against Magneto and whoever his pupil was, you and Taji both have come a long way. As your teacher and squad leader I have never been more proud. Even if you could never forgive me you at least can know I have never given up on you girls or my students. You'll make a fine X-woman one day if you ever stay or just become a solo hero Sarah."Lance said before he let her go and looked at her honestly. "I am deeply sorry for this, for being a real dumbass to say the least."

It seemed his actions had helped somewhat to calm Sarah down, Lance seeif the ice melt and the temperature warming up again and he knew it was likely beginning to get through to her. Looking back at her he only smiled, "Sarah you might as well plan a funeral then because I'd be dead before I would leave like that again. As I said, what I did was foolish of me and I meet considered what it would do to those I cared about and who became my real family again. It's going to take a while for me to ope. Up to everyone, perhaps in a way like Tajik has been trying to for example. But with students friends like you and some patience it may one day help with getting through that hard time I've gone through." He told her as he then looked towards a piece of ice and merely smiled, "Besides Kity and the others would drag me back kicking and screaming if they had to and deep down even if your ticked off and angry with me so would you." He told her, knowing her well enough she likely would eventually have come finding him herself. Though he half expected it to be Sarah who had done that herself but nonetheless he was glad she was alright and he was still smiling as he couldn't help recalling the fact that she had indeed gotten stronger and bolder.

Though one thing he didn't tell her or anyone else was that he did play a dangerous game of having feelings for a Brotherhood member. Her name was Alhora, the daughter of Mystique and the suppose to be enemy of the X-men. He may have been all for telling them his past and getting through any misgivings he may have of not telling it before but there was just that one thing he could not allow them to know of without them labeling him a traitor likely. Even Sarah might think he had gone insane for coming to fall head over heels for the shape shifting feral mutant also known as Malice.

Lance patiently waited to see if Sarah would even respond, at this rate wondering if she was going to go back at all. Just from observing her he could see she was well packed to go wherever the road would take her which almost made him convinced she might very well not go with him. "It's alright Sarah, if I hadn't gone off like I did none of this would have happened in the first place but yes, everyone is worried. I doubt everyone will be mad and they really have no right to be angry with you, that blame should come from my own actions since it lead to those chain of events."He told her before he paused to consider her question before he nodded. "That is what I came here for Sarah but..I'll leave this up to you. I won't force you to go back but it might be best if you did."
