It had been a week now when Angel came to New York and found this little part of it where people had powers lived so openly. Now she was not going to say what she could do but she was willing to stay here, she found a cheap place to rent and was looking for a part time job. She may be able just to read money out of a book but she rather only do that if she had to.. And sadly in order to pay the rent she had to do so... So Angel found a place in the small mutant town where she hoped no one would notice her. She looked around a few times before opening the book all about treasure. Her heart raced as she looked at the pages that she could hear whispering to her wanting to be spoken. " And there he stood, over looking the room filled gold and other precious gems.. It was like a sea of endless gold.. The boy stood there unable to move as he took it all in." Angel said as she read the book out loud to her self. Though if anyone was over hearing her read the book to them it would be like they could see it themselves as well and the cold feeling of the hidden treasure room. Soon some gold coins and gems appeared and fell down next to Angel, she then stopped reading. She closed her book before anything would come out and quickly grabbed the coins and gems putting them in her backpack. She then got up and started to walk away.

Sam had never liked coming to this place on his patrols through New York city. He just felt out of place. He knew he wasn't a mutant and would likely never be him any time soon. He didn't want experiments nor dangerous things to happen. So he just stuck with what he knew best and that was being a shield agent. He flew down to land however before he could he realized he saw a flash of something bright in one of the ally ways. Curious to see what it was the young SHIELD agent flew in to go after it as he spotted a young teenager out here by herself. "Heay what are you-Whoah look out!" he called out as he tried to stop his speed but instead he realized he might as well be running the girl over as he flew forward straight for her.

Angel had thought she had made it without being seen, she had started to relax when suddenly she heard someone call out to her. She looked up to see someone dressed like a superhero coming right at her as if he had lost control. Her eyes grew wide as she let out a scream diving to the ground and in hopes of the flying stranger missing her. She then also rolled trying to get out the way. When she sure she was ok she then slowly stood up looking at Nova with a scared look in her eyes, she had no idea what made him come after her but she was not going to stand there and find out. Angel then made a run for it as fast as she could go.

Sam did miss her as he hit the concrete ground with a loud thud as he tried to stand but it wasn't easy as he felt his knees buckle. He was sure he hurt them or at least bruised them pretty badly in the long run. "Heay wait up!" Sam said as he tried to fly after her but it wasn't easy for him since he was still heavily hurt. "Ow that really hurt." Sam said as he had a hand on his knee where he felt it being rather tender. "Come on I just wanted to talk to you! It was a complete accident." sam said as he felt his knees starting to give way as he was forced to land nearby and rest for a bit against the wall. He wondered if his super hero costume had been scaring her. Maybe he had to approach this from a different view as he took his helmet off to make his real true human form appear in a flash of blue. "See? I'm just a mere human." He said wondering if she'd bother to turn around and stop running away.

Angel kept on running but started to slow down it when seemed the strange flying man was hurt and she could tell in his voice he meant no harm. She then soon came to a stop and turned to look back at Nova, yeah he seemed pretty hurt alright.. And when he took off his helmet to show he was human she just stared at him. Breathing heavily she stared at hin for a little longer. What did he want? It was not normal for someone wanting to talk to her out of the blue like that... As most people just ignored her.. " W-what do you want..." Angel asked a scary thought came to her, had he some how seen her use her magic?? It was not going to be good if he had...

Sam had not seen anything from the girl as she had used her powers while he had been up in the air. He let out a sigh as he looked back at her as he tried to think of the words to say. "I just wanted to say I was sorry. I normally don't have bad landings like that one. And I wasn't going to chase you or anything, I just thought you looked a bit suspicious. But it's clear that first appearances don't show everything, I couldn't even chase you down in the injury that I have right now." Sam said as he gave her a rather quick speech since it was clear that she might want to get out of there. but for some weird reason he couldn't help but look back at her. He never felt this way before towards a girl...well that was a lie he did go out with one other girl back in Arizona but their long distance kind of severed it. either way he looked back at her trying not to be so awkward about it. "So consider yourself lucky. You can get away if you want." he said not even trying.

Angel started to calm down as Nova spoke, ok so he was not trying to attack her or anything... Just lost control and now he was hurt.. As he went on Angel nodded, yeah she could not blame him for thinking she was suspicious as she was lurking around trying not to be seen.. But it was odd that he had noticed her.. Not very many people could notice her as she mastered the art of being unseen.. Though when he said she could go Angel shook her head. N-no.. Your hurt.. here lean on me.." Angel said as she walked over Nova letting him put his arm around her shoulder. " My place is not to far from here..."Angel said a she started to head there.

"As long as you're alright and your relatives are fine that you're bringing in a hero. I know sometimes some people aren't fond of that." Sam said knowing from experience. He tried not to lean on her too much as Sam put his weight down on his good leg that hadn't been as battered as much as the other knee. He decided if this was a good time to tell her who he was, well at least he'd have to explain a bit more later when he was feeling better.
"My name is Samuel, well that's part of my full name. Everyone calls me Sam for short." Sam said introducing himself. However his eyes fell on something shiny that hit the ground as he recognized the insignia on it. It was clear he had dropped that during the flight which didn't go well either. The one with the metallic eagle was SHIELD, his own identification card fell out as he went to quickly pick it up. He went to quickly pick it up but even that was not easy as he felt the pain in his legs. "Alright more secrets that I can't hide, I'm also a SHIELD agent." Sam said with a sigh wondering what she'd think of him now.

Angel said nothing at first at Nova saying he hoped her family would not mind.. Well its not like it was a huge secret.. " I don't have anyone.. My Parents have been missing for a long time... So I have been on my own.." Angel said softly as she slowly walked with Nova. Part of her could not believe she was doing this.. But the other part would not leave a hurt person like this if she could help. Though when he dropped something she stopped so Nova could pick it up. Though when she saw SHEILD on it her eyes grew wide, she had heard things about that group and also knew they where looking for her and investigating her missing parents.. And it seemed Nova did not know who she was.. Yet anyway.. And when he said he was a part of SHEILD Angel just nodded not wanting to make a big deal about it. I see.. here we are... Its small but is better then nothing..." Angel said as she then took out a key opening the door to her small house. Once inside she closed the door locking it behind them and helped Nova over to the couch. And the house did not have much besides a small table and char and normal kitchen things. A couch and a small TV in the living room. Though there was nothing on the walls.

Sam felt sorry about that as he heard Angel say that she didn't have any family members, his own father had disappeared for years as he was raised single handedly by his mother. "I'm sorry to hear that. My father is gone in my life. I never found out what happened to him." Sam said as he felt the same sorrow and sadness as he did, well he didn't loos his mother or his sister at that point. That would have just brought on a severe amount of depression his way. Though he was surprised when she told her that she did not respond in a shocked way to his SHIELD badge.
None the less he was at least grateful that someone was going to help him. He walked over with her help as he came over to the couch and sat down on it already feeling better that he was off his leg. He wondered just how long it'd be before he'd have to leave and be on his way again. SHIELD was going to be looking for him at any moment. He just knew it. Or were they not expecting him for awhile? He wasn't entirely sure at this point, but he knew they'd certainly worry about him. Sam put his four starred helmet on the couch next to him as he looked back at Angel. "I hope I'm not too much of a bother. I probably won't even stay for a day if that's alright with you." Sam said.

Angel stayed silent as Sam said he had lost his family as well, Angel knew there where others like that in the world so she just nodded, not really knowing what to say. She then started to get some water for Sam, once a cup was filled she walked over and handed it to him without asking if he wanted one. When he said he hoped he was not being a bother and saying how long he was going to stay Angel shook her head. N-no its fine... Stay as long as you need to Sam.. Oh.. And my name is Angel.." She said softly tucking some of her hair behind her ear. Angel then left for her room putting her backpack on her bed before coming back out again. Are you hungry? I.. I can make you something to eat. All I have is soup though." Angel offered. yeah she did not have much but it would have been rude not to offer anything.

"It's nice to meet you Angel." Sam said with a soft nod as he listened. "No you don't have to make me anything...I could order out for the both of us with the money I have." Sam offered since she at least offered to stay as long as he needed. Though he really didn't want to feel like he was intruding at all at her home. he took the water that she had and drank most of it as he left about a quarter in it still since he knew he shouldn't get dehydrated in a time like this. Sam needed all the energy he could in order to help him recover back to normal in no time. He decided that the silence was starting to get to him and maybe Angel wouldn't mind it. "So Angel where are you from? New York isn't exactly my home here. I'm from Arizona." Sam asked.

Angel looked at Nova when he said he could just call out with the money he had, well in truth so could she heck she could buy lots of good foods with the money she gets from her books... But seeing as she has no job and lives in this small little house it would not be a good idea as someone would start to see something was up.. So she just nodded, " Ok.. If you want to order out that's fine too.." Angel said softly. Though after that Angel stayed silent as she had no idea what to even say next.. This was the first time in forever she had even spoken so much to anyone. Though the silence was broken when Sam asked where she was from. To tell the truth Angel had forgotten the name of her home town.. As she had been trying to forgot what happened ther so many years ago.. I... I forgot the name of the town... I have been on the road for so long.." Angel said softly.

"Ok I'll do that." he said as he took out his shield Insignia as it lit up like a phone would on an electronic device. He found a place that he thought he wouldn't mind and as well as Angel if she wanted anything. "Would Chinese food sound ok? Or do you want me to keep looking for something?" He asked he as he looked back with a bit of surprise when she mentioned that she didn't remember the name of the town. "oh that's alright you don't have to try and remember for me." Sam said as he looked back at his communication device trying to think of what else to say. Inside his shield badge there had been a form of electronic communication just like the Avengers had done with their identicards of course they had their own ways of communicating with others around their own group.

When Sam asked if Chinese food was fine Angel nodded, she was not picky about food as normally she had no idea where her next meal may come from. So whenever she was able to get food she was not picky. Yeah sure.." Angel said with a small smile. A few things she had noticed about Sam. He is rather nice for what she has heard of SHEILD agents. And when he seemed to understand and not ask her to remember Angel nodded in thanks. though its not like those memories where gone.. Just locked away deep down. Are you feeling any better?" Angel asked as she sat down on a chair in the kitchen.
