The wrong kind of Justice(X-men,students,open)

"Alright."Garrett said as he shut the door before coming around to the driver side and getting back in, starting the car once more. "And it'll be a little while before they're finished with Lance so I'm coming right back here after I drop you off and finish something else."He told her as began to drive again, leaving the hospital to head to where she had indicated a moment before. He still knew at this moment things would be up to Lance's will to keep fighting and the extent of the damage, but he was also going to make sure Jamini didn't have to face that fear of the policemen.

"Don't worry I will Jamini, just will be a few hours before we know how he's doing so thought it might be best if we got you back home. After a night like this a good night's sleep would do some good."Garrett said, as he seemed to be trying to keep calm but even he was a little concerned for Lance's condition, not knowing how bad it truly was at this point. The fact was they could very well lose a member of the X-men just from the fact of human policemen abusing their power and taking advantage of a wanted man. Even if Lance was wanted it was not right to just relentlessly beat the hell out of him, it just wasn't proper justice.

Seeing her tears Garrett couldn't help feeling sorry that Jamini saw such a sight when she had been nervous enough as it was with even telling someone of her powers. Now this could have very well shook her badly. "Jamini listen to me, not all humans are like that. Yes, it's true some of them hate us and fear us but there are those who also try and help mutants like us, it was just a matter of policemen abusing their power."He told her gently, and reached over to wipe away a tear as he kept one hand on the wheel,"But I promise you Jamini nothing bad will happen to you, ever." He told her firmly briefly looking towards the young woman with a serious look on his face.

"I plan on making sure those cops who lived will pay for this, even if it means I have to do it by my own hands to expose what they have done. And if anyone starts to bother you about your saving someone then your more then welcome to call me and I'll give you a hand."He assured her, more then willing to help a friend no matter what.

"Only seen it a few times, don't mean it don't still affect me."Garrett murmured, having seen it a few times before he came to the institute he now worked at as a tutor and combat instructor. He gave just the slightest shake of his head, knowing that it would likely never end any time soon and it'd be a miracle if that happened. Even when humans were different they acted like towards one another in every day life, it just was proving no different for mutants as the normal humans were afraid of something they didn't understand. It was something they had to live with.

Though he could only look forward at Jamini's last words,"There are a lot of things I regret already, and I hope plan A works Jamini. Tell you the truth I really don't want to resort to plan B and play by my own rules."Garrett admitted as he did plan to turn the men in and make sure they were exposed for what they had done. One way or another the men would pay, either by the actual law or street law, it had to be one way or the other. Finally though Garrett arrived at an apartment complex after five blocks and parked the car beside the side walk,"This must be you, and first thing I know I will call you."He said as he glanced at Jamini fully this time.
