Time:4:30 pm Location:Starbucks Coffee
Sierra sighed as she stared down upon her hot chocolate that was in her hand, having ordered it earlier little over an hour ago. It was still warm and half of it was already gone but none the less she seemed to show little interest in it altogether. Her mind was in fact elsewhere, mostly wondering about her family she had not seen in three years and all thanks to AIM. It was frustrating to her being unable to get to her family right away in Miami, least that's where she thought they were but who knew if they had moved by now. Would they even recognize her? Probably not, especially when her form was a permanent one.
Sighing she only sipped her hot chocolate, trying to get her mind off all the negative and depressing thoughts that ran through her head. Sierra was just fed up with all the thoughts and memories that hit her all the time but unfortunately it was hard to forget. And at this point she wasn't quite so confident she would ever see her family again, especially her brother Shawn who she had been so close to and had been learning from since she could remember.
Once more those thoughts were pushed to the back of her mind as she sipped more of her hot chocolate. But she certainly stood out among those who sat outside the coffee shop, looking like she was ready to hike rather then go for a walk as she wore a khaki colored tank top and boots with darker tan sleeveless vest and pants plus a bandana that was around the top of her head but left her purple hair and bangs hang free. In the long run she wasn't hard to miss in a crowd and it was likely she would draw anyone's attention.
This was especially so for a certain young man only two years older then her who happened to be in the area. Someone she knew all too well.

"Come on you guys I said give it to me once. I'm not in the mood to yell for it a second time." Shawn said in an annoyed tone. Not only was this day starting to turn upside down, he was upside down literally. As one of the thugs had him by the leg, since the other one was too short to grab onto a decent angle. Meanwhile the other one held his electronic/mechanical leg that he relied on so much these days. There were at least two other thugs he could tell of so far, but he was sure that there were more lurking around. "But you gotta say the magic word." The second one said making fun of him as Shawn rolled his eyes. "Please?" He asked in nearly a sarcastic tone. "Nope not even close." The thug said again, this time laughing a bit in his amusement and also torcher. If anything, Shawn would have wanted to smash their faces into folded up pieces of metal to make them know how he felt right now. But Xavier and the others would have hated that, even looked down upon it as he was still learning. But Shawn had been at the Mansion now for a year and a few months. Still they continued to laugh at him as Shawn started to loose his patience with the man. "I SAID LET ME GO!" He said in anger he had only shown maybe once or twice while he was at the mansion. The men seemed stunned at what he did next as the ground shook underneath their feet. If anything they would have guessed that it was an earthquake as they began to panic. Other people noticed it too as it was starting to come. If anything, the earthquake would have been about 3rd one on the measuring skill. Either way they dropped Shawn in fear of the short earthquake as they began to head for shelter. And at the end of the alley way the mechanical foot was dropped a bit further. "Darn! It's always me causing some sort of problem here." He grumbled knowing he could have used his metal manipulation but that only would have caused more eyes to wander over at him. He was probably already going to be put in the newspaper for causing the accidental earthquake. He could imagine the title now 'News Flash: Sudden Earthquake caused by mutant on sudden rampage.' He shuttered at what Xavier would think of him now. That he got upset over an inncident could have been avoided another way, he was almost dreading to go back to the mansion now. But first thing first was trying to figure out how to get his leg back from the other side of the alley way.

Just as Sierra was finishing her drink and preparing to leave she too felt this earthquake, a very powerful one that lasted for a short time. Still it definitely caught the young teen's attention but not as much as the gathering crowd that was near the alley, which made her guess it was the work of a mutant. The last thing they needed was a crowd to get more attention so she was quick to rush over, sending a few obsidian spikes close to their feet,"Hey move along! There's nothing to see here!"She said to them firmly, even shoving past a few people.
Though there were many annoyed muttering and growls towards Sierra she completely ignored them as she came to the alley. The first thing that caught her eye was the mechanical leg to which she guessed belong to the person a bit further down the alley and he'd definitely be needing it. So picking it up the obsidian girl walked towards Shawn before she knelt down,"Here think this is your's."She said as she moved her bang aside with her free hand and setting down the leg into Shawn's hands before looking up to see this person, who was a few years older then her, more closely.
But that was when her glowing purple eyes widened, her jaw dropping as she saw his features, his face all too familiar to her. "S-shawn?"She stammered in disbelief, unable to fully believe this was in fact her brother. Even in three years she could make out many features of his face, many features he shared with their father! She may have been gone for a while but she never forgot their faces.

Shawn seemed stunned, how did this girl know his name? But as he listened to her voice he thought about it for a second, it sounded familiar. Maybe a bit too familiar. "Wait a minute....are you Sierra? I thought you were-" He trailed off not wanting to bring back more bad memories into his head. He had already caused some trouble for today and didn't want to cause anymore at this point. He felt his eyes fall to the ground to where Sierra had given him his leg. "Though thanks for getting it for me. I couldn't have walked that far anyways just with one and a half legs." Shawn said as he began to put the straps around his leg that he still had to make sure that it was on tight. The next thing he'd worry about was standing up straight again and do almost a balancing act. "And I also take it that you felt the earthquake...practically everyone did." He said with an annoyed sigh.

Sierra though didn't answer at first as she looked at her older brother's leg, wondering how this had happened to him. More of also being stunned that he too was a mutant like her, except he had escaped such a fate as she did. But finally she shook her head,"Yes it's me Shawn, I mean I may look different but it's still me."She said to him, wondering if he would really believe her since there were so many memories that came flooding back to her but one of them made her shudder to remember that rock slide that had nearly killed them both.
"And your welcome, but it seems there was a reason you did that since I saw some guys running out of here like they saw a ghost."Sierra said with a shake of her head before she stood, offering a hand to her older brother to give him a hand to b able to stand without having to worry that he would fall again. "Shawn, did this happen from the rockslide?"She finally couldn't help asking, knowing it would bring back bad memories for them both but she had to know.

"Yes I recognized your voice, that was really it. It's hard to believe it happened so long ago." Shawn said as he was making the last fixes to his leg before standing. Once he was done he flexed it a bit a few times seeing that it was comfortable for him.
"Yes I made an earthquake by accident. I had gotten mad at them since they were more like bullying me at the time. I know one thing though, Xavier and the others aren't going to be happy." Shawn said as he took Sierra's hand as she helped her stand. As she mentioned the rockslide inncident that came back as a few bad memories and he couldn't help but nod at that. "Yes my legs were crushed underneath a rock, that day my powers manifested or at leaest some of them did. I was able to lift some of the rocks but it was just too painful to lift the one on my feet. So in the end it costed me a leg." He added with a sigh.

"You were defending yourself Shawn, I'm sure they will understand that much if not then that's their own fault."Sierra said with a slight frown, wondering who this Xavier was and the others he spoke of since she wasn't aware of the mutant school and really hadn't thought to look into some place that could help her. In fact Shawn probably would notice how different she had become sooner or later just in the matter of a short few years. None the less she was glad he was alright and at least able to stand.
Though as she listened to Shawn it made her feel a little guilty for being so excited that day, having only wanted to see ahead of their family before accidently ignoring a warning and slipping down the mountain side. Now not only had she been affected but so had her brother that day. "I'm so sorry this happened Shawn, I really shouldn't have gotten so hyped up back then and neither of us would be in this situation."She sighed looking at the ground for a moment,"But to be honest I wish I had been dead that day then endure being a guinea pig."

"I hope so." Shawn said as he looked back at Sierra as he made sure he hid his mechanical leg from others knowing they might be tempted to take it from him again. Being that he was so different with it. He though listened to her as she spoke about being a guinea pig, and then how she had wanted to be dead. "To be honest with you, Sierra I had thought you were dead. I had called out for you until my voice was pretty hoarse. But before they could let me tell you were still down there I was sent to the hospital."

"I see,"Sierra said with a nod before shaking her head. "It wouldn't have made a difference Shawn, I was found unconscious by someone before being smuggled to some organization called AIM and was there for the last three years. I only just recently escaped and ended up here."She explained to him, shuddering slightly as she didn't want to recall all the experiments they had to perform on her. "Generally looking like a walking glass statue and having regenerative healing are the only natural powers I have, the rest I have were modified."She told him.

"I figured that out in the months to come. They never came back with you. As for my powers, all mine are natural. And developed over the two years when I was with the X-Men. The first one of course was rock manipulation, then I too have an obisidan form but it only helps me in strength. Lastly I have a bit of minor metal manipulation where I can shape and mold certain metals at ease." Shawn said with a soft nod as he looked back at Sierra. In those past years she had certainly changed, he on the other hand realy hadn't. Maybe matured a bit more into a decent young man. But that was realy it. His life had been mostly been hiding away since he knew what he was and what he had become, that was until Xavier stepped in an attempt to help him.

"Sounds like you have some cool powers Shawn, just wish maybe we could have been able to train together at one point."Sierra said, a little impressed but also wondered how much things would change from here or had changed. He seemed to have certainly changed since they last saw one another and so had she, so there was really no telling what could happen from there. Sighing she could only look at her older brother, "But quite honestly I don't know what to do from here Shawn, I've only been traveling and trying to figure out what to do."

''Yeah they are pretty cool. I have done several interesting feats with them once or twice. Well, you can always come with me to the school that I'm at. I've been there for nearly a year now and they've helped me with my powers there as well as do some other teachings. Have you heard of Xavier's School called Jean Grey's School for Higher Learning?" Shawn asked as he looked back at Sierra, he was starting to sound a bit more hopeful now. That he and his sister may be able to see her again. But he wondered, what would their parents think now that they found her again? There would no doubt be a mixture of emotions, happiness, sadness, anger, annoyance, it could have been any of the following or even others. For now he just hoped that she would come along with him to the mansion or at least stay there for a bit so they could ath up on things.

"No I've never heard of it, but it does sound like it's a good school."Sierra said since this was actually the first time she had heard of it. If she had before she might have gone to try and find it and joined the student body, so perhaps one way or another she would have been reunited with Shawn despite all these issues of being separated. "At this rate it might be better then just wandering around and looking over my shoulder all the time."She added since that was what she often did, afraid that AIM would come looking for her and try to recapture her to become another of their weapons. But the question was would the staff let her?

"Yeah their leader so to speak or head of the school found me after hearing what happened at the rockslide. I think he had intentions of picking us both up but only found me at that point." Shawn said with a soft nod. It was true though, it sounded better than running around or wandering through the streets were almost anything could happen. And there were a lot of students there too, several of which he tried to get along with, other's he ignored since he knew it wouldn't work out at all. "I can take you back there if you want too. It's about three or four blocks away from here but there's a bit more since it's a rather long driveway unless you want a taxi ride." He offered.

"That's surprising."Sierra said, surprised that the headmaster would want to take both Shawn and her together to come to the school. Unfortunately it didn't seem that would have been possible and Sierra was almost sure things might have been different, but there was no changing the past. If anything it would just be a rough start since she was very edgy and uneasy in a large crowd now compared to where she would be very social and out-going as a little girl. Or even with Shawn's friends she had been this way. Since her time with AIM she was very untrusting and something of being cold towards others. "Though we can take a walk if you want to Shawn, I'm fine either way."
