"Sure if you're up for it Vivian." Torus said as he looked back with her. He kept up with Vivian rather easily as he flew in the air. After flying, he carefully avoided running into trees or into their branches and accidently burning them. It wouldn't be long before they came into the city as he looked around to see the place. "For some reason it makes me feel like I'm visiting a museum for a field trip. But I'll keep my eyes open for any danger of course." Torus said as he looked back at Vivian as they flew around he too had a bad feeling that something was going to happen.

Vivian nodded and laughed a little at Torus when he said he felt like he was at a museum. Yeah she had to admit this place did havce that feel to it. But she frowned when she saw no people. Vivian then looked at the ground and started to look for foot prints, she saw lots of human ones so far so that was a good thing. But then she came to a foot print that was not human, Vivian then frowned and knelt down to get a better look at it. "Torus! Something that was not human come through here and could possbly still be here! It might have done something to the people here." Vivian said as she stood up and started going door to door looking for anyone who could still be alive.

"Something not human? That would explain a bit." Torus said as he flew over down to the footprints to see what they looked like. He was certain as well that they didn't look human at all after what Vivian had said. As he stood on the ground he had an idea as he changed out of his fire form, "Well maybe we can use a dog's scent to sniff them out? I can change into one for that." He said as he shapeshifted into what looked like a beagel. He wagged his tail a bit but put his nose to the ground to try and concentrate to smell out a human. He went to the houses that Vivian hadn't checked yet but kept watch for her in case anything bad happened.

Vivian looked at Torus as he came over to look at the footprint and then blinked when he said something about sniffing people out. When he suddenly transformed she blinked in shock but smiled, seems like he could do more then just use fire and fly. When he started to head to head over to s house she had not checked yet. Vivian then followed after Torus making sure to keep a eye out. When they got to the house Vivian knocked on the door, " Hello? Anyone in there? Please don't be scared we are here to help." Vivian said, G-go away! Its niot safe! Flee get away!" A voice said within in the house. Vivian sighed of this course this was not going to be easy.

Torus merely cocked his head to the side in confusion as he heard the voice of the person. They seemed to be nervous about something. Did it have to do with the footprints they saw earlier? Seeing tha they found someone, and he couldn't talk in his beagel form, he decided to change back into his human form. "Yeah I can shapeshift nearly into anything as well. I guess I didn't mention that earlier. But how are we going to see if we can get this person to talk? It's not like we can just go barging in?" Torus asked Vivian.

Vivian looked at Torus and thought about his question, they needed to get this person to talk so they could get a idea of what was going on and what the monster was. So Vivian was not going to give up. She then looked back at the wooden door and placed her hand on it. " Please we mean you no harm we just want to talk, I;m coming in ok?" Vivian said as she slowly opened the door. " No!! Bad thing will notice and take me away like others!! No talk no talk! Flee!!" The little girl inside cried out and moved as far away from Vivian and Torus as she could. Vivian stopped at the door way but moved to the side so Torus could enter. " What is this bad thing? Please its ok to talk to us." Vivian said, nooo!! Go away please!" the little girl said looking at them both very scared.

"Come on now we're heroes. We're trying to see if we can stop this thing. All we need to know is a few answers to a question or two if that's alright?" Torus asked as he saw the girl seeing how nervous she seemed. He wondered at this point if he could try an comfort her with his dog form again. There was a possible chance of that happening, then again she might be too frightened. But he hoped for the best as he changed into his dog form once more. In it he was almost up to her knees as he looked up at the two, as they seemed much taller now as he had gotten shorter as well.

When Torus turned into dog the girl eyes grew wide and she pointed, He turned Dog he turned Dog!! Are you gods come to help us! Please save my family!! Brother took Gem of power Monster came from deep in cave took everyone away! the little girl cried then bowed to Torus and just cried. Vivian blinked when she thought they where gods, well that was not something she wanted to play on but... If it helped it helped, Though she hated lieing.. " Er.. Yes we are gods sent to help your people. We will get them back, but you must stay here. Torus, lets go." Vivian said as she left the house and then closed the door when Torus was out. " Well lets go find that cave..." Vivian said and she took off in a run.

Torus cocked his head to the side in confusion, no they weren't gods but there wasn't really any way else to explain to the young girl on what they were. Both super powered people who were likely in the class of a mutant. But after seeing Vivian had to explain things and what the girl said they sounded like they needed help for sure. With that Torus came after Vivian out of the house as she closed the door behind him, and he changed back into his human form. "I guess that'd be the case." Torus said. As he remembered he hadn't entirely told Vivian everything about his shapeshifting powers, that he had originated them from an alien race called the Skrull who could shapeshift into nearly anything. But with that he realized Vivian was running as he changed into his fire powers again so he could fly, "Heay wait up!" He called after Vivian seeing that he would have to go faster to keep up.

Even though Torus asked her to wait up she did not slow down, for she knew he would catch up. Soon she was able to see the cave, Vivian than started to make her way to it. With in a few minutes she was at the mouth if the cave. She then waited if Torus had not caught up just yet. Though as soon as she got there she could fear growls from the monster deep inside as well as a few human cries. " This must be the cave, I hear growls among other things.. Oooh I hope there are no booby traps in this cave,..." Vivian said with a sigh and looked at Torus as she started to glow. "Well I guess we better get going." Vivian said as she started to walk into the cave.

"I just hope the monster isn't ten feet tall or anything large like that." Torus said as he followed in after Vivian as they entered the cave. They would hear the noises get louder and louder as they got further in. The humans seemed terrified as they would no doubt have to rescue them for it in the end. And also stop this strange monster, whatever it looked like. At leat, on the bright side, they had ways to light up the cave so they weren't entirely blinded by the darkness, along with stumbling through it like they couldn't see two feet ahead of them. With Vivian's light powers and Torus' fire powers they could easily light up the cave to see where they were going.

As they walked Vivian could not help but frown. She could hear the screams and cires of fear of not just adults.. But children to, that was unforgiveable... But she had to keep a level head and find out about this gem of power the little girl spoke of. If one of the people had it and the monster wanted it it would most likely go back to resting if it got it back... But if that was not the case Vivian would not hold back and would take it down. Though as they walked Vivian saw something that horrfide her. " Oh no..." Vivian said in a whisper and ran ahead and stopped, there was a bloody mess in the cave and human body parts everywhere.. "Its killing them... That Gem.. It must if been a seal and when it was taken.. We have to hurry!" Vivian said and she took off in a run. Just as she did she then heard screams and the sound of flesh being ripped apart. When they got there Vivian's eyes widened as she saw a lage monster attacking the people it brought here and eating them. Vivin then took out a hilt of a sword and started to glow more brightly. Vivian than channled her light through the hilt and a sword of light was formed, Vivian then ran in attacking the monster She was able to make contact cutting into its side. The moster let out a pained roar turning and took a Vivian who jumped back but it was able to scratch her arm, Vivian winced but went back in for the attack.

Torus felt his stomach start to get queazy as he saw what was going on there. Of course they had been too into it but it was nothing more than a program within a computer. None of that mattered now, to the realization point as he tried to stop from nearly throwing up, and that wouldn't have looked good on his part. He had to find a distraction as he saw the creature was going to try attack Vivian and the other civilians. He could at least act as a wall to protect them, so with that he flew down to where the humans were as he tried to make his fire around his body even stronger as he went, "Heay Monster eat a load of flames instead of humans!" He called out as he sent a fire ball straight for the monster's mouth hoping that it'd be enough of a distraction.

Ineed the monster got a mouth full of flames, it roared out in pain and started to attack Torus. Forgetting about the other people and Vivian at the moment. Its tail started to glow and then spikes started to shoot from its tail at Torus. Vivian then came up from behind and started to slash at the monster with her sword, it turned from Torus back to Vivian trying to chomp down on her with its teeth but Vivian was to fast for it as she jumped back and with a free hand shot a beam of light at the monster.

"Wow this guy is strong. But we need to find a weakness if we want to live of course." Torus said as he was about to get out of the way, as it got distracted by Vivian he was a bit more relieaved. Still he had to help her as he sent another round of distractions. This time it was even more fire balls but these had been smaller since the previous ones so he didn't have to use up as much energy as he could.
