Sarah waited to see what she would be having to face next, or of Lance was going to stop. She then suddenly froze when she heard a growl from behind, and loud foot steps from a large animal... No way.. Lance wouldn't... Sarah then turned around and her eyes grew wider a she took a few steps back. A polar bear really?  " A Polar bear!!?? Ugh!!!" Sarah said clearly not happy and shocked. As in her mind there was no way she could just trap this animal in her ice without hurting it. This was almost like the fountain of youth all over again when she found herself alone and fighting a yeti... Sarah then started to run, she had to get into area that was more open, away from hills and trees. Though now she was fighting back panic as she was starting to forget this was not real a she now was starting to flash backs to the cave she and rest of the team had to go through back in that cave.. And at one point in time she found herself alone with one of monsters... Sarah then found a clearing and ran out into the middle of it, she then turned to face the polar bear. This time all thoughts about not hurting anything out the window.. As it was going to her or the polar bear... And she sure as heck was not going to lose! Sarah then held out her hands and formed two swords and then charged at the bear. A she got closer the bear stood up letting out a roar, when Sarah got closer she was ready to attack but the bear was a little to fast for her and took a swipe with its mighty claw and set Sarah flying. She landed on the cold snow and quickly stood up though winced in pain. " That wont work... Fine... I will just bury you...." Sarah growled as she once again held out her hands lowering then rasing them. As she did the snow around her lifed into the air and when she pointed at the bear it went flting at it and soon the bear was buried under tones of snow. Breathing hard Sarah then feel to hear knees as tears started to fill in her eyes.

But Lance wasn't fooled by Sarah's attempts to hide her growing panic, the young X-man frowning when he realized something wasn't right. True, he had not gone on the trip to fetch the Fountain of Youth water but he ha heard what occurred and that one of those times had Sarah lost in the caves on her own. Was this bringing back memories of fighting the yetis? It had to be for her to be reacting this way, which had not been Lance's intention. Still he knew this polar bear would be a challenge for Sarah but now it seemed more so than he had anticipated. And for a moment he watched along side the others as she took it on for a while before it was buried under tons of snow, something he knew it wouldn't hold it for long.
And seeing the state she was in Lance was immediately out the door making Megan and Amethyst have to do a double take when he was gone. "Lance? Where is he going?"Megan asked as Horus only shrugged, becoming just as confused before he heard the computer mentioned someone else had entered the room causing them to look back inside. Within the DAnger Room Lance was quickly making his way to Sarah, using his own memory to remember where she was and before long saw her in the distance but saw the snow beginning to twitch and fall. "Crap!" Lance growled as he took a side way to get there faster as the polar bear snarled and broke free of the snow charging towards the young girl in her vulnerable state only to be slammed aside by a psionic lightning construct of the same animal bowling it over before it formed into a bolt of lightning that tore through the animal and causing it to become lifeless on the snow.
Skidding to a halt beside Sarah Lance knelt beside her and rest his hands on her shoulders, looking with some concern. "Sarah, I'm sorry for that. I didn't realize it would bring back those memories." He told her softly, hugging the young ice user in apology and comfort, hoping she'd forgive him for this.

Sarah held her head as she could not stop her tears, though she looked up when she heard the bear coming after her. Sarah then let out a blood curdling scream as she then flinched and just waited for the bear to strike. But to her shock the bear never hit and the next thing she knew she was looking at Lance and soon he was hugging her saying he was sorry. Sarah at first was just to stunned to do or say anything. Though soon as the shock was wearing off Sarah then got angry and pushed Lance away. She then stood up and started to stomp off without saying a word. Angry she had panicked and kinda ticked off at Lance as well for putting her in a situation like that... All those feelings she had tried to forget when she was lost in the cave all came flooding back..
Taji just watched without saying a word, she did not know what was going on but Sarah must of gone through something bad and this must of brought back those memories.. Now she really was worried when it came to her turn.. She almost just wanted to run out right now.. But something was making her stay..."D-Did something happen to Sarah?" Did she go through something scary in the past? Taji asked to no one in to no one in particular just really taking a shot in the in the dark.

Lance
The anger Sarah had unfortunately didn't surprise Lance, only able to watch the young ice user walk off from the room but remaining where he was. It hit him hard at what he'd just done and messing up like this, having not been thinking when he went through the possible course each one would do. It hurt even more with the fact he had promised Sarah's mother she would be safe, that nothing would happen to her and that he'd always try to protect Sarah should anything happen. All the X-men would but no one could protect someone from their fears and demons, he knew that well and sighed softly as he finally stood and left the room a bit after but pausing on the stairs leading back up to the control room and lifting his shirt enough to reveal he had a few scars, ones that came from his beating a long time ago.
He had never truly faced up to his own demons and was beginning to realize he had been having some distractions even in his classrooms and he had to keep his mind busy. Was this a result of that? Not thinking straight where he should have. indigo psionic flames enveloped his fist then as he slammed it into the metal wall, easily melting through it and leaving a decent sized crater before letting his shirt fall and heading to the control room just as the flames were dying down. "If you two don't wish to go...I don't blame you for quitting now." He told Amethyst and Taji, obviously becoming worried he might mess up yet again. Already Megan had lost it to her dagger and now he had brought back Sarah's fear, maybe he wasn't cut out for this after all.
Amethyst/Megan
Both couldn't seem to bring words nor answers to Taji, both only staring on in shock and concern as Sarah even shoved Lance off her when usually they were pretty close. "I don't know, mean think I have an idea but won't know until we ask Sarah so I guess I'll go try and talk to her." Megan told them before she quickly flew off, eyes eyeing the flames that had been around Lance's fist before it disappeared but quickly headed down the hall after her friend, "Sarah wait up!"She called, hoping she wasn't too late to at least try and comfort her. Not to mention it was the least she could do after Sarah was there for her.
Amethyst though shook her head, "No I'm not ready to leave Mr.Bond." She couldn't believe what was coming from her mouth, but something was driving her to stay and seeing their suppose to be field leader giving up like this made her want to prove he wasn't messing up. As he said, this was a trial and error thing and this was just one of those errors they needed to overcome. "There are going to be things we need to get through and if that means doing this stupid examination of our powers than so be it." She said, surprisingly determined as she glanced at Taji, giving her a brief look as if to ask to please try as well, for once trying to work as a teammate before she headed down for her turn as Horus shifted the mountain scenery to a much steeper part of the mountain not many could climb easily with a rushing waterfall among it as well.

Sarah Sarah could not stop her tears as they came running down her cheeks turning to ice as they hit the floor, dammit... She let her memories and fears get the best of her.. How can she be a hero like that??? Not to mention she let Lance down and let her anger get the better of her.. " Darn it!!!! I;m such a fool!!" Sarah yelled a she formed a fist and hit the wall causing ice to form where she hit. She then sat down and stared at the floor though she did not get much time to herself when she heard Pixie coming sounding worried, Sarah looked up at her friend and wiped away her tears before looking down again.. " Well that was a pathetic display..." Sarah said clearly not happy at the moment. Taji Taji was unsure what to do, not knowing to either to go after Sarah or to stay.. Though when Pixie flew after the angry Ice user Taji thought it best to stay.. She then looked at Horus as if wanting him to say something. though when Lance spoke and said that if she and Amethyst could leave if they wanted, all Taji could do was stare in disbelief that Lance had said that and blinked in shock when Amethyst said she was not going to leave and do her turn and even gave her a look as if hoping she would stay to. Taji then looked back at Lance and saw how sad he was.. Taji then got a determined look and then walked over to place looking up at him. "I wont go anywhere ether.. I will Stay." Taji said as she then gave one of her rare smiles to Lance.

Lance
Lance looked down slightly at Taji, his eyes full of shock at her and Amethyst's words for a moment before a faint smile came to his face and he rested a hand on Taji's shoulder in silent thanks. "Long as all four of you can reach your full potential Taji then I've done my job."He told her softly, not noticing Horus' own smile as he nodded in approval towards Taji as a sign she was indeed right. the young draconic mutant had come far in Horus' mind and she had already just taken the next step into overcoming her past. Despite Lance not knowing fully of what Taji went through he still felt her and Amethyst were indeed making their own progress.
'I also hope you know I'm here for you as well Taji, you and Amethyst that is. All of us teachers want our students to strive to become great people, whether heroes or just ordinary persons." He added, trying to express that he was there to help Taji if she needed it and that even if Horus was not there she always had someone to help her.
Megan
When finding the ice user Megan frowned slightly before kneeling beside her friend, resting a hand on Sarah's shoulder. "Sarah what you did was incredible, mean I likely wouldn't have stood much of a chance against a polar bear. Turning it to a bearcicle was genius." She said, trying to lighten the mood a little before smiling faintly. "Come on though, certainly can't be anything close to just completely losing yourself by simply holding a weapon. Now that's pathetic." She half heartedly laughed but thought this might not make much difference before she added. "And you know your a lot braver then me, when you seemed scared least you faced it. I can't even face my own fear of going underground."
Amethyst
With seeing Taji try as well Amethyst finally left the room to head down to the training room, seeing the large hole in the wall that looked melted. So that might explain the psionic flames but the reason Lance would do it made no sense to the neyaphem but for now she headed off to the training room and stepped inside as the scene revealed the mountainous terrain. "A steep cliff? Oh please, this will be child's play." She muttered before she ran over and began to scale the wall, showing she was pretty adept with climbing mostly thanks to the microscopic suction cups on her fingers but soon began to realize something was off. it was too quiet besides the waterfall and there was no animals at all, not even the shadows of fish which made her stop.
"Where are..."She suddenly yelped as a decent sized cobra-looking animal lunged at her from beneath some rocks and barely missing her as she flipped upwards and landed on a ledge. But the cobra slithered out with about five others, revealing them to be 8 feet in length and just slightly smaller than a tree branch. "Okay, I spoke too soon." She said, beginning to dodge around the snakes, moving in a dancing like motion of a style and firing a silver-white like bolts of light at the snakes that made them hiss and cringe away slightly.

Taji Taji felt herself starting to blush as Lance spoke to her even placing his hand on her shoulder. Though it took all her will power not to flitch away. As it has become habit whenever anyone tried to touch her as her years with Sinister it meant someone was going to hurt her.. But she knew Lance would never hurt her and she could relax. When he said he was there for her Taji gave a weak smile and nodded. She still had major trust issues... But she knew she had to be willing to try to let people in.. And one way was to open up.. Taji then looked up at Lance again though even thinking this scared her to death... "L-Lance? After this.. C-can we talk?" Taji asked though it was clear it was taking a lot of effort to ask that. Sarah Sarah looked away as Pixie spoke, yes the things she was saying was nice.. but it did not help much with her ego.. She had flat out panicked and let her fear get the better of her and Lance had to save her.. And now she felt bad pushing him he was very sorry.. Sarah sighed and leaned her head back on the wall behind her. " Thanks Pixie... But I panicked.. I let what happened back in those blasted caves get the better of me.. If Lance had not jumped in the bear would have gotten me... I'm such a fool... Pixie.. If I tell you what happened when I went on the trip can you keep it a secret?" Sarah asked. In a way this was going to be Sarah's first step in getting over what happened.. As she never told any one not even the teachers that went with her on the trip.. All they knew she had gotten lost and then found her after a while...

Lance
Lance smiled as he briefly glance over to see how Amethyst was doing, seeing she had found her own challenge rather quickly but seemed to be doing well in her agile movements and her ways of contorting her body. It was another reason he chose the snakes as they were known to be quick and agile in their own right, and her use of her Lunar Manipulation was getting better as well. Though when he glanced back at Taji he was surprised to hear her inquire of wanting to talk after the training to which he nodded, "Of course Taji, after this is over I'm all ears." He said to her with a smile.
Megan
Seeing her attempts weren't working Megan wasn't quite sure what she could say or do about helping Sarah as she listened. It seemed Sarah was quite convinced things had gone badly and perhaps they had but the pixie mutant wished she could at least say something that could have helped. "Of course I can Sarah, your secret will be safe with me." Megan assured her, wondering now what happened and maybe in return she could tell Sarah a secret of her own of why she had her fears as well.
Amethyst
As Amethyst continued to shift and move around the snakes, she could see this was getting her no where. So she decided it was time to force these snakes to go against the other so she lead two snakes on either side of her to follow before she flipped back as they lunged forward causing them to collide with one another before she turned and used lunar energy ropes to wrap around two of the others which only made them angrier. Though she used these ropes as a way to better feel their movements and quickly dodged and pulled to make sure they missed or kept hitting the other but quickly found herself leaping upwards and wrapping her tail around the jaw of a third as it came up behind her.
Seeing her predicament the neyaphem grunted as she twisted hard, forcing the three snakes to twist with her with the two ensnared in the ropes clashing togetherand sending the third down the mountain. As she got back on her feet Amethyst waved a hand to create several small blades of the same energy before sending it towards the snakes and forcing them away at last, panting slightly from all the exertion. With this done at last she finally headed to the door and back to the control room.

Taji Taji smiled when Lance agreed to talk later when he was free. She then walked over to the glass and watched Amethyst, she was skilled to be sure, Taji knew she would not be able to move like that.. Even with all the things she went though with Sinister. Days she would rather forget... But they would be skills she needed if she where to stay here and train with the X-men... Hopefully someday she could put her past far behind her and make a better future with the X-men.. Or at least learn enough so she could try to live a somewhat normal life.. For being a hero was not really on her top lists of things to do.. Well not yet anyway. Sarah Sarah closed her eyes as she let the memories com flooding back, " It was when we entered the caves, it was so dark you could not see your own hand in front of your face,., I don't know how far we where into the caves.. But I was tired so a leaned on a wall.. Next thing I knew I was falling and the door." Sarah said as she stopped opening her eyes then looking over at Pixie. " For what seemed like hours I stumbled through the dark and heard the most scariest sound I have ever heard in my life.. A real live Yetti.. And well I had no choice but to fight it. And of course Iwas not strong enough and really feared for my life.. Just when I thought it was about to be over the others found me and fought it off... I had never been so scared in my life... I was so happy to see the others." Sarah said as she then fell silent.

Lance
Watching Amethyst he had to admit she seemed to have more skill than he expected but from her history of acrobatics it didn't surprise him really. And her control with her secondary power seemed to be progressing well since he last saw her in one of his classes, so for the most part he could see majority of the girls were growing quickly in some places. Taji though still seemed concerned of trying her's but he knew she could do it, it just would take time, patience, and faith in herself.
With seeing Amethyst return he then looked to Taji, "Alright Taji this is your turn if you want to. Just know I won't force you to do this training, if your not ready then it can wait for another time.'"He assured her, leaving it open for her to go or not and knowing he couldn't force the girls to do something they didn't want to do.
Amethyst
Amethyst though sat down nearby, a little tired out from the training since it had been some time since she had to use her powers in quick succession like that. Nonetheless, she stayed there so she could at least watch the final training but still wondered where Sarah and Megan where since they didn't seem to have yet returned since Sarah took off.
Megan
When Sarah went on to describe caves Megan actually shuddered at imagining where Sarah and the others had gone, now knowing if she had been picked she likely would have froze at the very entrance. She hated going near anything underground and would have had someone drag her in, it was the one thing she would never, ever do if she became an X-man. "I can see why you got scared then back in the training room."She said before she sat next to Sarah, contemplating for a bit before she finally spoke. "Your braver than me Sarah, because I wouldn't have even gone near those caves if I had gone with. Going underground scares the living hell out of me, it's my...worse fear." She admitted before sighing. "I fear them since my father died underground, he was a miner where I lived and during an ordinary day the mines collapsed and he died. Since then I've been fearful of being near mine, caves, or anything dealing with underground."She explained to her.

Taji Taji smiled as Amethyst finished, she had done a great job showing great skill. Though now it was her turn something she had been dreading but she knew she had to.. When Lance spoke to her and again said she did not have to do this she shook her head and gave a determined look. "I will go." was akk Taji said as she then walked into the room and watched as it changed into her battle ground. She kinda hoped whatever she would be faceing she could fight in human form.. But most likely she would have to call on her dragon form. But if that was the case she would transform and do her best to stay in control. Sarah Sarah listened as Pixie spoke and shook her head when she said she was braver then she was.. Not true everyone had their fears and caves where just one of Pixie's.. Though Sarah stayed silent as she went on and started to talk about how she came to have her fear. When hearing it Sarah started to tear up, it was just as bad how she lost her Father.. though her Father was fighting a bad guy and lost.. " Wow.. That has to be tough and I see why you fear caves.. I also lost my Father.. He was a solo hero and well.. One day he fought a powerful bad guy and never came back.. I want to become a hero just to honor my Father.. And one way to that is to get over my fears... I think I;m ready to go back... Thanks for the talk Pixie." Sarah said with a smile as she then stood back up and then made a run for the training room. Once inside she saw that Taji had started now. Sarah then walked over to Lance looking up at him. " Lance... I want another try later and I wont take no for a answer," Sarah said meeting Lance's gaze.

Lance
Nodding as he watched her go inside the environment around Taji soon shifted to where she was on a open space of the mountains but with steep slopes and ledges around majority of the mountain sides. On these ledges were a few large nests, ones that seemed like bird nests and for a moment there seemed almost nothing there until a few angry cries of birds could be heard above the young mutant. And should she look upwards above her were about give large bald eagles, each ready to dive down upon her with a fury of their beaks and talons with the fact she was invading their territory.
Though that was when the X-man turned, hearing the door slide open and was a little surprised to see Sarah though was a bit worried she might be angry as before. But that was when her words made him surprised, "If your sure Sarah, I can see of scheduling a private training attempt some time later after this."He told her, though still felt guilty from earlier with being careless of what her fears might bring up.
Megan
Now Megan could see why Sarah was so determined to become a hero and knew that had to be hard as well for her, to which she smiled a bit faintly. "Your welcome Sarah, and I'm sure you'll become a great hero one day." She told her before watching her friend run back towards the control room though the young pixie-looking girl took much longer as she recalled the news of her father's death. She was still unaware he wasn't her real father and actually was the daughter of a former villain. But recalling this weighed heavily on her heart as she remembered she had no relationship with her mother, least not really. They had a strained relationship and she hardly ever had thoughts of returning to Wales except to see her grandmother who raised her.
With a soft sigh Megan finally stood and returned to the training room, coming over to watch Taji's turn alongside the Neyaphem mutant who looked tired. They had missed Amethyst's turn but she suspected the other girl had done well if she was there and tired.

Sarah smiled when Lance said he could make a privet lesson later. Good she would have another chance and beat that fear for good. For what kind of hero could she be if she could not get over things that scared her? Sarah then looked at the field as Taji got ready. And wondered what kind of fight this would turn out to be. A she had never seen Taji use her dragon form before.. But knew she had skills when it come to normal combat.
Taji looked up when she saw the rather large bald eagles, Well there was no chance she would be able to fight them in her human form... She would rather avoid it but it seemed she had no other choice... Lance most likely wanted to see her dragon form as Horus till now is the only one who has seen it... Taji then closed her eyes as she then started to call in her powers. Soon her body started to change and grow, as wings grew out of her back. Within minutes where a young girl once stood now was a silver dragon. With a mighty roar Taji then started to flap her wings taking to the air. She then went right for the eagles. She opened her mouth and let out amazing but deadly fire. She was able to scorch the over grown birds feathers but it was not enough to bring them down. She then went in with one of her claws at the ready coming down on of the birds scratching it making it bleed badly. Yes Taji was not fighting in a way to make the eagles back off without hurting them... Due to her time with Sinister she was fighting to kill, As it was all she knew.

Lance smiled briefly before he began watching Taji's turn, wondering if she'd be able to control her transformation since he knew she had been worried. Still, his concern was that the training might be a bit much for her as he, Megan, and Amethyst watched but it wasn't long before they were watching the transformation before them. It was quite a sight to behold and all three seemed quite shocked and awed at the same time as Taji went to engage the eagles. But Lance wasn't expecting her to attack them in a way to kill them as one already seemed to be critically injured by her claws and another by the flames she released from her jaws.
Next to them Horus was watching closely, seeing Taji's transformation yet again and recalling when she lost control. This time though she seemed to be able to do so consciously, although there was a wonder if she'd fall into a similar manner of how he once trained. The only thing he had known before being there at the school for a time was to kill or critically injure his opponents and it concerned him Taji only knew that same treatment. Sinister after all wasn't the kind to let his experiments go without knowing what it was likely to kill if they had to. And the more and more he watched the young teen the more he began to realize it was very much the same attitude he faced, but this time it didn't seem Taji was on a rampage like before. But to attack the eagles with killing intent shocked him.
"Taji! Remember, don't let the beast control you and don't let your past take over your own judgement in a battle." Horus said, turning on the speaker to speak directly to Taji, concern showing in his voice quite clearly. But if he had to Horus would quickly interfere into this training session and give whatever aid he could to Taji, someone he had found a kindred spirit in.

To Taji that kill was just something for survival, as it was the only fights she knew as she started to relapse and started to forget that she was in the X-men danger room. It was her instincts that she had developed over the last six years of her life, that where starting to take over. Taji then started to move in to attack the other two angry eagles. As she started to come on to them she then heard Horus's voice, and instantly it brought her out of her thoughts, as his words sunk in Taji's eyes started to water, yes Horus is right... She was letting the best within and her past take over again.. Then Suddenly Taji flew up just in time to miss the eagles. She then stopped to face them as they flew up at her ready to attack. Taji then opened her mouth but this time instead of fire she let out a mighty roar that shuck the danger room. This made the eagles. stop in pure terror, Taji then let out another roar and started to swoop down as if to attack, the eagles then turned flying away as they had enough of this. Taji stayed where she was for a few moments before going down to land. And within a few moments she transformed back into her human form.
