Sierra yawned widely as she looked towards the window nearby her, watching as the rain came down hard upon the grounds and slammed into the windows like a monsoon. The wind was howling outside and many students were stuck inside on a rainy weekend making many bored and left little else to do but sleep, play games inside, study, or do homework. Sierra just happened to be one of those who was doing nothing.
Nearby the young obsidian girl was her textbooks, ones that remained untouched by her for the past two hours now and going on a third. She could have already had her work done and be studying now since she usually was the type to be rather diligent in her work and really never goofed off in class. Today though she didn't feel like doing it and had simply pushed the books aside as she sat within one of the student lounges where a handful of others were playing games, watching TV, or just chatting about anything they wanted. Most conversations she had tried to listen to had turned out to be boring to her or just something she didn't want to here, and lord knows a room full of teenagers anything could be talked about. And that means anything.
Sighing softly, Sierra lifted her hand to create several obsidian glass darts and dropped them in front of her on the table as she was reclined in her chair with her feet propped on the table. Lifting two of the darts she began throwing them across the room to stick into a dart board, causing some to cry out in surprise as once or twice they came close to being hit. Though it's not like she really was the best shot and missed the dart board often or hit on the outer rings of the bull's eye, maybe once did she come close. But she never seemed to mind if she almost hurt someone or became bothersome. She had yet to accept her place at the school and despite those few months Sierra was really beginning to doubt her decision to stay, most of which was for her brother but even then they were growing up and she no longer always needed Shawn. And Shawn didn't always need her.
With that in mind Sierra was beginning to seriously consider dropping school entirely and make her living another way. Though her thoughts were concentrated elsewhere so much that she didn't care to even see who came and went into the room.

Ooc: Heay Koryn I was wondering if I could join in with Sam on this one, haven't really used him in awhile?
Bic: Sam had woken at least a couple of hours ago after being hit with something, something hard. His body was battered with wounds that were still healing and his helmet had been resting beside him as he saw that it hadn't been damaged at all from the scathing that he had been through earlier. The problem was it happened so fast he barely knew what hit him. There were wounds everywhere as he felt the pain on his body, and had to at least be healthy enough to walk around with the nurses' approval. He didn't even know where he was, and he was sure that Fury and the others were worried about him heavily. Where was he? How'd he get here? There were many questions he had to ask. Finally after much convincing he felt the nurses would allow him to look around to at least get a sense of where he was, he picked up his helmet and began to walk around as he felt his legs starting to come back and it felt good to walk again.
After getting out of the lower areas of the building he looked around finding himself in the X-Mansion after seeing some people with their powers. Though he knew he was different compared to most of them. He didn't have powers nor was a mutant, it was all thanks to his helmet on which gave him the ability to do so much like this. There was one girl that he noticed as he looked around silently by himself. He had noticed that it was raining outside as well as the rain pattered on the windows outside so most of the students were inside. Finally he gathered the courage to come over to where the girl was and went over to her. However something caught him off guard as one of the older students in training shoved him up against the wall making him wince in pain from the wounds on his back. "Welcome to the X-mansion bucket head I hope you enjoy your stay." He said clearly taller and much bigger than he was for a teenager, despite him being a bit older than most of these student.
"The name's Sam Alexander, get it right and if you didn't notice I'm kind of not in the shape to fight right now." He said. "And I don't exactly have any powers like you guys, so why are you picking on the week?" He asked as this seemed to make the kid hesitate realizing that he might be breaking a rule or two right here and Sam managed to knock him off his back but it was clear it hurt so badly he fell to the floor as he did it. "And I'm also a shield agent." He said as they only laughed seeing how bad of a mood they were in. Well as the case was, Bullies will be bullies ad he had encountered them in the past. This as no different.

Sierra at first didn't pay much attention to the others, only continuing to throw her obsidian darts at the dart board. Though no one seemed to want to dare approach her to tell her to stop since Sierra always seemed in a snippy, angry, sour mood that gave off an air of pretty much "keep away from me" feel to this young teen. The only time she ever seemed happy was around her brother and aside from that the happiness she once showed had gone away almost entirely from her, leaving her only to hate the world and embrace only a little of what she would allow. And trust wasn't exactly one of them.
Finally though as Sierra threw the last dart she got up, having seen what occurred from the corner of her eyes. Though she wasn't much for going to the aid of every person that ended up facing bullies she decided to give an exception with the fact Sam hardly seemed in fighting shape and the fact it seemed one way to relieve her boredom at last. So raising her hand in a curled fist several spikes showed along the back of her hand and she thrusted her fist forward, sending the spikes that seemed to grow slightly from her Glass Manipulation flying. Mere inches from hitting the bullies they embedded into the floor close to their feet and coming to land straight up like bars of a jail once again causing others to scream and back away, watching the events unfold.
No doubt her actions got the bullies attention as a few turned in her direction seeing she held no fear as she stalked towards them and stood squarely in front of the ring leader. Least who Sierra suspected as the ring leader. "You get a thrill out of hurting someone who's already down and barely can fight? How about picking on me tough guy, I'm smaller than you but..."Sierra grabbed the kid by the scruff of his shirt and easily lifted him off the ground, the jaws of his friends dropping and quickly backing away. "I'm sure as hell stronger too, so shove off and leave the agent alone." She stated venomously before shoving the kid hard enough to knock him and his friends over before reabsorbing the glass into her skin as she stood in front of Sam to make sure the bullies left and got her point.
Though deep down there was a small part of her that also had a dislike for those who picked on others, from her own experiences with AIM and having heard how her brother was sometimes treated. It seemed there was a small bit of her that would never tolerate it. At the same time it was clear Sierra had certainly grown, grown in a way much different than her parents likely ever wanted and the fact she no longer needed her older brother to protect her. Not like he use to do on some occasions.

Once Sam was able to stand again he picked up his helmet which he had dropped when the bully rammed him into the wall. He had admitted he was grateful for the help as he looked back at Sierra. “Seems even I can’t escape the bullies around here.” He said as he had one hand on his side from where one of his wounds was still healing and because of that he felt very soar in some areas. But he still tried to act like he was doing better than he really was at some point. When the bully fled he felt better at that point and his dignity hadn’t been totally ruined on the first few hours that he was even here. Nova had gained a reputation while being an agent but he wasn’t anything like the Avengers, he was probably about ten slots below them on the ‘best heroes ever’ list. He looked back at the girl that had managed to scare off the bullies seeing her obsidian like form and was a bit curious but wasn’t about to bring it up as he had seen others like her in the SHIELD hellicarrier that had wanted to use their powers for good too. And of course there were the plenty of villains that were there in the same flying vehicle. “Thanks though for that. If I was strong enough they probably would’ve been knocked into a nearby wall with one of my Nova blasts but I didn’t even have any energy for that. And my name is Sam Alexander, code name is Nova.” He said as he put his hand out for her to shake it if she wanted. But he could tell that she was rather irritated about something, he seemed hesitant on asking her what it was in case she didn’t exactly want to be bothered by a total stranger at the time.
“Also this may sound like a dumb question but do you know where I am? I woke up in the hospital part of the building and I couldn’t tell you how it happened.” Sam asked feeling a bit guilty that he was asking so many questions all of a sudden. Well it seemed like the really only way to do it at this point. She was the first person that he had come across who wasn’t a nurse and constantly checking up on him for his wounds. It was a nice change of atmosphere too from the Hellicarrier from its heavy metal parts that helped keep it afloat. Of course little did Sam know, he had come right into the X-Mansion, which was famous for the X-Men and their students.
Sam did notice on occasions that the other students were watching him from rooms nearby curious to see who this stranger was. With that being said they seemed to be interested in him. Who was to say though that they might be future fans? They probably already had chosen other well known heroes like the ones that were on the X-Men or the Avengers. They were practically known around the world.

Watching as the bullies fled there was no doub Sierra was easily making her own reputation there at the mansion, mostly from her attitude and careless ways but also standing up to the ones who usually didn't get stood up to. That even meant those who wound up as guests whether by choice or by chance, it was one thing she would never tolerate. In fact, it was a pet peeve now to see bullies and she was always quick to act of she could or was at least around during those times. Of course that had resulted a few times of her brother having to pull her away from a fist fight or two and not nearly hurting him in the process, something she usually tried to avoid really.
Turning to look back at Sam she almost wanted to brush off his extended hand but this time was polite and took it, giving Sam a quick shake as she listened to him. "You know you talk way too much agent." She said in a mostly indifferent tone. "But suppose its nice to know a name behind a mask, I've heard of you a few times Sam as that hero Nova, though guess your not exactly the type to look for publicity on purpose." Sierra stated since she wasn't entirely out of the loop but in fact watched the news and read newspapers to keep up with current events and learning about the past three years worth when she had mostly been locked away from the the world. And if he was a SHIELD agent maybe she should tell him about the AIM labs. Though it was likely they would have moved to prevent her talking or them being located so she decided against it. "You can all me Sierra Anderson, sometimes I go by Dark Reflect for my codename." Sierra introduced herself as it seemed only fair he at least knew her name. Though some of her powers were likely obvious at this point but some of them were harder to see than others unless she demonstrated them from energy hitting her or being harmed which would trigger her healing factor so she wasn't killed that easily. Surviving a rock slide would certainly be proof enough.
"Well your at the Jean Grey school for Gifted Youngsters, sometimes still known as Xaiver's, mutant school, or just the X-mansion. So really take or pick what you want to call this place, in the long run your far from home little Nova." Sierra said as her tone certainly showed she was not that easy to get along with nor warm up to. And it was vice versa for her as she hardly trusted anyone any more and never really gave others a chance to meet the real Sierra deep down unless they gradually became close friends. But considering she rarely took part in heroics she highly doubted they would end up friends or long term allies. She wasn't even sure she would stay at the mansion as it was or even join the next generations of X-men to come. Her brother Shawn probably would but she didn't mind doing things on a solo hero career or maybe becoming a villain. She just was at those crossroads of still finding her purpose in life that had yet to be revealed to her. And for some reason she felt like she would easily be a villain since she certainly had no problem hurting others or having the attitude for that.

It was clear that Sierra knew how to scare them. So with that he was at least relieved to see them out of here in a hurry. He probably looked like he was in bad shape from the beginning and also he had no real chance of fighting them off on his own. He could tap into his Nova Force abilities but that’d drain him only further. Sam really was in bad shape and he was grateful that she had been there at the time, but he had always thought the X-Men had reputation of not harming anyone but it was clear some of their students disagreed with that rule of theirs. It was a shame really. Once Sam stood back up he already had a look of relief in his face to see that they were gone, but it shocked him even more that he had come all the way from the X-Men. It was clear that he’d have to recover first before he could fly back to the hellicarrier. Why did he always get into these situations? It baffled him sometimes, maybe he just had a bad streak of luck, well he certainly had it when he was younger and for some thought it should’ve disappeared when he was reaching his adulthood years. “The X-Mansion? That’d explain a lot if you ask me.” Sam said knowing he’d need his full capabilities to fly up that high. “Also I don’t talk all the time like this I’m just confused is all on what happened.” Sam said noticing that she had a stern voice. In away it reminded him of the other older agents that he had run into on some of his adventures. They were just the same, hardly said anything and just looked the other way when he tried to speak up. In fact it made him wonder why they didn’t talk so much when he tried too. Maybe it was just the way things were done. Still he shrugged. “Well if you want me to talk less all you have to do is say so.” He added.
“Either way it’s nice to meet you, Sierra.” He said with a sigh. He did feel a bit out of place here from what had happened earlier. He had no official powers on his own and had to heavily rely on the helmet that was with him. With that being said he was one of a kind though and that might be a good thing. One thing was for sure Sam didn’t know his way around this place like some of the other students did and that would give him some time to figure out this place. But it couldn’t be that hard he knew the Hellicarrier pretty well. It would just take time. “Say do you mind giving me a quick tour of the place? I understand if you don’t want too, I just feel a bit lost here.”
