- Alias: Addie, Olympus' Knight, Sorceror Supreme of the Olympus Dimension, Hecate's Pride, The Olympian, Halfbreed
- Age: 18
- Gender: Usually Male
- Species: Demigod (half human (active x gene) half olympian)

And I smile as I respire because I know they'll never win
There's a haze above my TV
That changes everything I see
There's a haze above my TV
That changes everything I see
- Personality:
Adam isn't exactly like most boys his age and his powers have little to do with it actually. He's smart and observant and rather serious most of the time. he likes to have fun of course but first things come first and first things are always school or work or whatever. Responsiblity plays a big role in who he is and what he does. He's usually organized and prepared for just about anything and he keeps a level head and open mind.
He can be funny and tries not to be rude most of the time but it gets difficult some days. Adam is the sort to follow the golden rule, and treat others as his equal. He has a passionate dislike of oppression and the abuse of power or authority. He'd step up to defend the rights of just about anyone. He tries hard not to judge but h's only human, well part human.
As for his abilities he loves them and feels that he has a responsibility to get out there and defend those who can't defend themselves and protect others and solve the mysteries left in the universe.
- Likes:The Arts, Unity, Challenges, The Arcane Arts, Most Olympians, those who can think for themselves, the Idea of Superheroes, Painting, Flying
- Dislikes: Failing, Misuse of power, Prejudice, Bigots, Getting tricked, the idea of war, seeing his friends hurt, being helpless, Arrogance
- Appearance:
An attractive dark haired youth with stark blue eyes and raven black hair. Adam is clearly in damn good shape, leaning more towards the lithe athletic side rather than the bulky muscular sort. The influence of the Mediterranean blood flowing in his veins has made his skin somewhat darker.
When in civilian clothes, he leans towards a more casual comfortable, but fashionable look. He likes jeans and hoodies with tennis shoes or t shirts. He hardly goes anywhere without a watch on, having been collecting them since he was pretty young. He isn't big on other forms of jewelry, though he has been known to put on a necklace every once in a while.
In hero garb, he looks drastically different as he uses magic to turn his hair blond as a way to help preserve his secret idetity. He wears a golden lion pelt fashioned into that of a hoodie. It is that of a Nemean lion, a creature famed for it's pelt which was tough enough to prevent damage from mortal weapons. For pants he wears some rather form fitting black leather pants. Winged gold and silver boots adorn his feet and calves almost to the knee. The wings sometimes seem alive as they stretch and flap. On his wrists a pair of gold bands shine and sparkle. Around his head he wears a set of golden laurels which seemingly keep his hair out of his face.
- Distinguishing Features: Nothing in particular outside of a particularly inticing and distinctive scent like raw energy, almost like ozone or burnt air.
- Equipment:
His Smart Phone - Great for making phone calls and accessing the internet on the fly.
Nemean Lion Hoodie - simply a protective measure. A tanned piece of a golden lion's hide fashioned into a hooded shirt. It is an enchanted sort of thing that cannot be pierced by mortal weapons so in short it is bulletproof and functions as incredible armor against most normal weapons but magic, super powers, and more modern technological weapons and energies work just fine. It is fire proof as well though it's wearer is not and it only prevents things from becoming lethal against him, not from their impact force, so even though a sword wouldn't cut him, it can still bruise if the force is sufficient enough.
Hermetic Boots - a set of winged boots that help him to increase his speed to more competitive levels. He can't keep up with Quicksilver or anything, but he can easily outpace a car on the freeway on foot. They can even increase the speed of his flight to just over super sonic speeds (about mach 3) if need be as he can normally reach around 300 mph on his own in the air.
Some sort of mystical sword the likes of mjolnir? hard as diamond, light to lift for the wielder (incredibly heavy for those unfavored by a god maybe? something different than the worthiness enchantment), able to slice through magic and disenchant things with a touch? maybe it holds a small power from each of the 12 olympians
Xi (as in the greek alphabet letter)
Xi is a beautiful golden spatha of Roman design, rumored to be sharp enough to slice a piece of paper in half. It has proven itself to be quite hard, able to place scratches in the likes of diamonds and remain unharmed against the likes of adamantium. Greek style letters run up the center of the blade spelling out "By the Grace of the Immortals". It is well known to have been blessed and crafted with various powerful enchantments laid by the gods themselves. it possesses the arcane ability to destroy spells it comes in contact with and absorb large amounts of energy into itself and neutralize it or channel it elsewhere at the wielder's behest making it function somewhat like a battery. Some of the older heros of the world, compare it to the likes of Mjolnir
Each of the main pantheon of the Greek god's council have laid enchantments upon the sword as follows, aiding the one granted the right to wield it, even more power than they possess on their own :
Zeus - The King of the gods granted this weapon a mighty ability in that it can be used to alter the weather on a localized scale around it, able to summon mighty storms and winds, rain, snow and the like. He also placed in it the power to replicate his most famous power, that of lightning. It can be caused to generate powerful strokes of electricity capable of pulverizing and demolishing things it is visited upon with ease. When measured the sword can generate around 5 terrawatts of power, which would be enough to power the planet for around a month or two. usually Athen twirls the blade around akin to how the Mighty Thor uses mjolnir to create storms and such.
Poseidon - The Lord of the Sea wove the ability for the wielder to adapt and operate underwater without any sort of hindrance, allowing the wielder to move through (or on top of the waves) at speeds of nearly 300 mph, breath, be unaffected by water pressure, to see and her and communicate as normal. He can swing and strike with the blade as if in air, unphased by the hydrodynamics that the water around the sword should impose.
Hades - Hades, King of the Underworld granted the ability to use the sword to cut a gateway to the Underworld dimension and travel with free passage to wherever the user wishes to go with few exceptions. While in possession of the sword, the wielder need not pay any tolls or costs in order to travel. Unfortunately this pass does not extend to their companions, dead or alive. The gateway does not open to anywhere specific on the plane of the dead so the wielder will need to travel asnormal to where they wish to go. The gate could, with powerful magic be used to open gates to other realms of similar dieties, such as Hel's realm or Purgatory or the like but the safe passage and free pass would of course, not work in those places.
Further, the sword has the ability to harm and destroy the dead including ghosts and zombies, banishing the restless souls to the Underworld where they will be chained and tied for presumably all eternity.
Hera - The Queen of the Gods wove an enchantment preventing anyone except those favored by the pantheon from wielding the blade. None may pick up the sword without favor from one of the greek/roman gods (pm and I'll let you know if the character in question qualifies, though the likelihood is very slim). Think of this as being similar to the worthiness enchantment of Mjolnir.
Apollo - Being the god of light and truth, Apollo granted the ability for the blade to sever and destroy dark magics and evil powers. With an exertion of the user's will, the blade can glow like the sun and penetrate even the darkest of shadows. Demons, devils, denizens of the dark dimension, black magics and the like can easily be combated with the blade and spells of the sort can be dispelled or countered. The light also helps those possessed by dark forces (say the shadow king) combat the possessor and wrest control of themselves once more, casting evil from their body.
Artemis - As protector of the innocent, Lady Artemis wove an enchantment into the blade to prevent it from harming the innocent and pure. None may be harmed by the blade if they are not guilty of some sin or crime or are undeserving of the wielder's wrath. The enchantment mostly protects innocent bystanders and the pure of heart from being harmed by the sword or its powers. It is a precaution against the mighty blade falling into the wrong hands somehow.
Athena - Athena gifted the sword's wileder withprotection from unwanted mental intrusions and powers preventing anyone from invading the mind of the wielder through psychic or magical means while the hold the sword. the wilder is essentially immune to mind control, telepathy, empathic abilities, and mental manipulations from psi or magic powers but the wielder can be affected through chemical or technological means. The enchantment can be suppressed or selectively made to allow friendly mental powers or contact. The wielder is always aware when someone or something attempts to make mental contact with them.
Ares - Not being very gifted in the realm of magic nor very creative with it, the Lord of War was convinced to place a spell that improves the wielder the utmost skillwith the blade making even a novice into a master swordsman when they use Xi. While using the sword, whoever wields it can easily hold their own against even the most experienced of warriors. The enchantment is easily suppressed so that the wielder can practice wit hthe sword to improve or use their own skills. As it is, Athen is a decent swordsman on his own, somewhere above an intermediate level of skill.
Aphrodite - Mostly unconcerned with battle, it took a while for Aphrodite to come up with an enchantment to aid the defense and representation of Olympus in the new age, but eventually she came up with an excellent quality to grant. Her enchantment keeps the sword eternally beautiful and undamaged shining gloriously forevermore. Essentially the sword is indestructible and never needs to be sharpened because it cannot be altered through use. This enchantment is powered by love and beauty being present in the universe. It can eaisly clash with other indestructible objects and come out unscathed and scratch some things believed to be super hard, such as diamonds or Adamantium.
Hephaestus - While holding the sword, the user is granted an increased facility in the realm of technology so that they can better understand how things work and how they are assembled or dissassembled. With the sword on their person, the user can better understand hi tech devices and how to use them or put them together. The increase in understqnding is dramatic but not so much so that they could suddenly understand the latest Iron man armor models or understand all of Reed Richards devices based simply on sight, but a car or a standard airplane is well within the realm of this knowledge if the user isn't already aware of how those work intimately.
Hermes - Olympus' speed demon and master courier spelled the blade to be able to be summoned at any time by the wielder. The sword will teleport to the user's hand at their behest for the sword always knows who it's wielder is. This makes it so the user cannot truly ever be disarmed and the user need not carryit everywhere they go or banish it. However if the sword is bound by magic or god power or rather advanced technological means, this teleportation can be prevented. Athen has a trick where he likes to throw the blade like a frisbee at enemies and then summon the sword back to his hand.
Demeter - Mistress of Nature, Demeter took an esoteric plant ability and turned it into an enchantment for the sword of Olympus. Like a plant's transpiration, Xi purifies the air around removing 'pollution' of all kinds allowing them to breathe clean air at all times even underwater or in the vacuum of space. As long as the user holds the sword, a bubble of clean air surrounds them.

- Powers:
Demititan Physiology: Being half Olympian, Athen is afforded a superhuman anatomy with capabilities far beyond those of normal humans. Because his mother is actually a titaness and "Great Goddess" similar in power to even the mightiest of the pantheon, showered in gifts and abilities, his physiology is much closer to that of the Olympians themselves but as he is not a god and cannot draw power from worship, his physicality is about average for males of Olympus. It is worthy of note that he is still only half Olympian however, a fact that he is not allowed to forget no matter how much the gods favor him. Also his blood is brighter color than a humans, like a ruddier shade of the golden ichor of the gods. Amongst the Olympians his blood is referred to as Orichalcum Ichor, much like the reddish gold of the fabled metal itself.
Inhuman Strength - Athen is superhumanly strong able to press around 30 ton. His super strength extends even to his legs allowing him to make prodigious jumps, easily able to leap several stories in the air.
Superhuman Speed - His super human strength also effects his speed on foot. He can run quite a bit faster than even the finest human athlete with ease. At the most he can keep about an 80 mph pace on foot.
Super Durability - Athen's body is several times more resilient than a normal person's. He can fly through brick walls and be punched by the superhumanly strong, and even get shot with high caliber rounds and come out practically unscathed, perhaps a little bruised but his skin is difficult to break. Energy attacks and magical powers even glance off of him somewhat thanks to his armor like skin. He isn't invulnerable by any means, he can't just shrug off a punch from the Hulk or a tank round or machine gun fire against his bare flesh, but he can take one hell of a beating. He can easily take punches from those of strength ratings similar to his own and be just fine.
Superhuman Reflexes - Athen's body is meant for combat and in order to keep up with his superhuamn speed strength and capabilities, it also has superhuman reflexes, allowing to react much faster than a regular person. He can react about 5 times faster than your average person allowing him to make twists and turns at 300 mph or more and avoid objects or deflect a swarm of arrows flying at his face or to parry sword strokes from Lord Ares.
Inhuman Stamina - Like all Olympians, Athen's body has the ability to operate at peak condition for days on end without tiring as he produces far less fatigue toxins and tires a lot slower than them. He could run at full speed for nearly a week before he would need to stop and rest or fight a battle against similar opponents for just as long without tiring. he can use his powers for an exceptional amount of time without faltering or any lessening in his ability.
Regenerative Factor - Despite his superhuman durability and resistance to injury, Athen's body also has a regeneratice healing factor that allows him to recover from injuries at about 3 times the rate of a normal person, recovering from bruises in a few hours or lacerations in the matter of a day. Broken limbs would take perhaps a week to recover in the extreme cases. This is a natural process for him. With magic he can accelerate his healing process and fix wounds with concentration near instantly however.
Disease and Toxin Resistance - Thanks to his demititan physiology, Athen's immune system is able to combat diseases and poisons far better and for quite a bit longer than your normal person. He is however not immmune because of his partial human anatomy. What take down a normal person in a matter of minutes would take as much as 4 times as long and as much to affect him in the same way. It would take quite a bit more exposure to these harmful conditions to cause the same effects. Most common diseases stand no chance of making him sick. Magical toxins or demonic poisons or otherworldly diseases or advanced biological weapons would however still hold a chance of affecting him, as would other things harmful to mutants or gods, such as the Legacy virus (though he would be quite resistant to it) or the like.
Birthrights - Abilities granted because of his parentage: he is able to see and speak with ghosts; he has an unerring bearing allowing him to find his way to any place, person, or thing and be aware of just how far away that thing is; and he has a soothing aura to animals and children; He also has the occasional prophetic dream.
Magic - Athen's most noteworthy ability is his capacity to learn and cast magic. He is a magician of astounding skill and potential (so much so that he is widely regarded as the next Sorceror Supreme of the Earth dimension and is actually the Sorceror Supreme of the Olympian Dimension though he is unaware of this fact). He can cast an almost innumerable number of spells by manipulating mystical (and sometimes cosmic) energies, often by invoking the names of members of the Greek/Roman pantheon. Even without doing so he is a powerful magician of his own accord able to manipulate magic and energies of all kinds due to his connection to the goddess of magic. Even without invoking spells he can utilize various abilities such as flight, telepathy, teleportation, telekinesis, blasts of mystic force, and solid energy constructs.
A few example spells:
Witchfire - a simple skill where the caster projects potent bolts of blue energy from their body (usually the hands). It looks like fire but is more closely associated to plasma. The power can be modulated to do less harm. Athen can make blasts strong enough to shatter a 3 inch thick reinforced steel plate with ease.
Arrows of Apollo - conjures arrows made of golden light that can pierce most mortal metals (adamantium not withstanding). Used often for precision or to pin something to another surface. Work quite well against most demons. Often, Athen also fashions a golden bow from light to aim and fire these arrows.
Grip of Aeolus - Athen's spell of telekinesis. He has grown incredibly adept and skilled in its use and can exert copious amounts of force using this spell able to lift around 80 tons if he puts his mind to it. He can use it to exert pressure on a target and crush it with similar force and even hurl massive amounts of material. He can also do precise work with it such as braiding hair or sewing and weaving.
Strength of Atlas - a spell used to bolster his already prodigious strength to more competitive levels for a short amount of time. As long as he can keep at least one foot on the ground , he can draw strength from the earth's gravity and raise his strength from the class 20 range to the class 100 range for around an hour, but he is usually quite exhausted once the spell lapses as his body isn't built for such copious physical prowess.
Wrath of Zeus - Even without his sword, Athen can generate and manipulate electricity using this spell. He can hurl bolts of lightning and draw power from electronics near him or short out most machines.
Whispers of Athena - With this spell, Athen gains telepathic abilities but he is not quite in the same league as the greats like Prof X and Emma Frost. He can make mental contact and communicate across about a 50 mile radius and even project bolts of mental force or project his consciousness into that of another. This spell meets it's limits there however as other spells and gods must be called on for other mental effects such as Mnemosyne for memory alteration or Dionysus for madness or various individuals for emotional manipulations.
Faulty Aegis - As the name suggests this spell forms a protective barrier around the caster or another target. It can take large amounts of force or energy and leave the recipient unharmed, but it does little to stop environmental effects like water, extreme heat or cold, sounds, or airborne toxins.
Chasing Hermes - Athen's spell for teleportation within a dimension. He can jump from one spot to the next near instantly.
After teleporting however, he must wait around 5 minutes before he can use the spell again for fear of tearing the fabric of space.
Sovereignty of the Base World - One of the first spells Athen mastered. This is a general catchall for control over the 4 classic elements of fire, water, earth, and wind. He can only manipulate one element at a time with the spell but he is rather skilled in using it, able to form shapes, structures and precise maneuvers.
Reaching Across the Domains - A spell used to apportate an object or being from one location to another on the same plane. Athen however needs to know the exact location of his target first otherwise he'll reach through and find whatever is at the spot he's trying to pull from.
Vulcan's Touch - The spell used to alter the shape of a material or object with a touch. He can turn one thing into something else made of the same material.
Voice of the Spirits - In greek mythos, the concept of animism was quite rampant and with this spell, or rather technique, Athen is able to communicate with the spirits of objects and substances like auras, nymphs, dryads and the like and even the spirits of modern materials and objects and make requests of them, though he holds no particular authority over them so it's a gamble as to whether he'll get what he wants unless he uses more forceful means of control.
Words of Hypnos - another verbal technique in which Athen laces his voice with magical energies and gains potent powers of persuasion, able to induce control over those who can hear and understand his voice. Those affected become docile, drowsy, and malleable to his suggestions. It is essentially a battle of wills with the target, (players can decide how effected their characters are, but most npcs would fall under his spell)
Protean Alterations - By invokling the might of the old man of the sea, Athen can alter his shape and transform into other animals or creatures though this spell is not useful for turning into the likeness of another person of the same race.
Asclepius' Stitches - this spell forms a thread of golden light that stitches together and heals open wounds, soothing pain and curing infections. It isn't really great for bruises but more extreme wounds are well within its purview to repair.
Curse of Ares - This spell is more of a hex designed to mitigate weapons and neutralize those who rely on them. It causes wepons to dull and fall into pieces, preventing them from being used. More epic wepons or those held together by magic or better bindings (ie higher tech things) are much more resistant and most named weapons are wholly immune as they are often metaphysically protected (ie Mjolnir, Cap's shield, someone's favored gun who they've named and used for years, very high tech laser rifles, etc).
Demeter's Splendor - A spell used to cause plants to grow and to manipulate that growth. The growth can be made rather explosive and forceful, taking a seedto a full grown tree in the matter of moments. Athen usually uses this to form binding to tie up enemies after a fight. he has also used it to synthesize plants necessary for chemical agents and the like.
Mutant Gene : Duplication : As he is half human, Adam's DNA still possessed the ability to produce an X-gene. Around the time of puberty, this genetic marker activated and provided him with a new ability unrelated to his demigod nature. When it manifested, Adam gained the ability to duplicate himself numerous times, forming multiple clones of himself.
His duplication ability allows him to split into a number of copies of himself, each posessing somewhat diminished abilities compared to the original, essentially splitting his powers up a bit.
Each clone is about half as strong (able to lift around 15-20 tons physically, able to run about 50 mph on foot, power output at about 50-60%, telekinetically able to lift around 50 tons, spells become somewhat less effective, he becomes easier to injure, etc) as the original was while the original operates at about 80% of his full power. The clones also have a half life, only able to remain in existence for around 6 hours before fading into nothingness, limiting somewhat, the projects they can undertake.
At maximum Adam can produce about 15 clones of himself at once, perhaps he could develop into making more if he supplements with magic or works more with this power since he rarely uses it as is.
The interesting thing about the clones is that he has a psionic link to each clone ble to pass information between them freely, sharing senses or knowledge. If one clone learns a subject or gan a skill, by making physical contact and reabsorbing the clone, Adam gains that information and skill permanently as if he had learned it himself. He could learn a plethora of things at one time and absorb the knowledge increasing his already impressive intellect to new heights. His brain actually has modified learning and memory centers so that he can learn and retain so much information without issue or memory degradation problems.
- Weaknesses:
Despite ability to communicate with ghosts, he holds no real authority over them. He can of course use magic to banish them to the underworld but they have no reason to obey his commands.
He cannot find his way to places, people or things occluded from him by magic. Also he only knows the direction and often the distance to his target but not of or how to bypass obstacles along the way.
Even with his great aptitude for magic, maintaining a large quantity of spells at once is difficult and the more things that he must split his focus on, the lesseffective he becomes and the shakier his control is over his spells. He can usually have around 7 or 8 sepearate spells going at one time without much trouble but beyond that it becomes taxing on his mental focus. This number will increase as his magical prowess also improves over time.
Also when invoking the names and powers of deities, he winds up owing them favors when the magics are more potent. Most of these deities like to request him to pay them back at the most inconvenient of times. Usually however these favors are minor things related to the god's purview.
He is only half 'god' and thus his physiology and abilities are not on par with full gods without the use of magic most times.
Further he is somewhat reckless because he feels almost invincible but his physiology has limits and sometimes he rushes in without assessing the strengths of his opponent, which could easily get him in trouble
If Athen's life span were to be furhter extended or he began learning massive amounts of skills and fields of knowledge, he could begin to lose some memories but he could easily supplement this issueusing magic, extracting his thoughts and memories.
Because there is a (albeit controllable) mental link between the original and the clones, should a clone die, psychic feedback would travel across the link to the original causing intense pain and temporary bouts of insanity or a catatonic state while his mind separates from the realms of the afterlife properly. The link could be severed or a clone dissolved prior to actual death to help prevent this occurrence however.
- Skills: He has a wide breadth of knowledge when it comes to magic and mythologies, especially of the ancient greek and roman sort.
He is a skilled melee combatant, trained in the use of the sword, spear, and shield as well as several bare handed martial styles including wrestling, aikido, and krav maga. He is also an accomplished archer and knife thrower.
He speaks several languages including Latin, English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, and Atlantean.
He used to be a gymnast until around the age of 15 and once won a national title in the all around before deciding to retire.
Academically, Athen is somewhat of a genius, having graduated from high school at the age of 16 and is still attending college, majoring in Biology, Greek Mythology, Physics, Psychology, and Law (specializing in superhero related cases). Most of his classmates are impressed by his workload and how he still manages to excell in all of his fields of study.
- History: Forseeing events taking a turn potentially in the relatively near future, the goddess Hecate assessed the situations as best she could by various divining means and came to the conclusion that the presence of Olympus in the Earth dimension had waned and was necessary for the human race (one that the Olympians took a particular liking to) could continue to grow.
Well aware that the Norse gods had encroached upon the planet and that their very own Hercules had been a proponent of protecting the mortals and their planet where Gaia may well till reside, she devised a method in putting Olympus back on the forefront of the mortal's minds.
She searched out a mortal man with which to share her divine gift with. The details are a bit steeped in mystery as Hecate is often portrayed as a Virgin goddess, but the short story is that she fell for Arthur Argent and carried his child (something he to this day is confused about since as far as he knows , they didn't exactly do the deed).
When Adam was born, she cared for him on Olympus feeding him on her own milk and the ambrosia that feed the gods as well as the nectar from the horns of the enchanted goat. He was strong and well behaved for the few months he remained there until she returned to Earth with her child and shared the joy with Arthur, charging him with raising the child as best he could. He is to e a hero to the mortals, she said and thus he should be of the mortals as much as possible.
Arthur, terrified of the wrath of a goddess undertook the endeavor of raising a child and so it was him and Adam for years until he met another woman and invited her into his life. Her name was Jennifer Faust. Eventually the two married and shared last names, which Adam took on as well.
Adam however had never been unaware of exactly who he was. As Olympus had been made aware of his existence and his destiny, something admonished by the Fates, it was decided that Olympus would take a more active role in shaping their chosen hero. It took several moments to figure out a way to allow the boy both a human life and Olympian training and better understanding of his godly traits. It was decided that it would be through his dreams that he would be trained and so it was beginining at the age of 8. Every night, Adam's mind and soul were whisked off to the Olympian realm and he was taught magic and given knowledge and tught skills and how to control himself and taught about himself and the dangers of the world and he rose to the occassion better than any could hope for. He was truly Olympus' ambassador and representative on earth, surpassing even Hercules in this role.
He was tutored in magic by his own mother and he still is unaware of just how powerful his magical abilities are. It would seem that they even surpass hers in some respects. He has practiced swordplay with both Ares and Athena, shot arrows alongside Artemis and Apollo, wrestled with Hercules, sung with the Muses, Flown with Zeus, swam with Poseidon, dined with Hera, forged next to Hephaestus, harvested with Demeter at his side, and travelled with Hermes. The best was afforded to him and the best he is expected to be and thus, it is now believed that he is prepared to step out on his own and fight with the heroes of earth in the name of the Gods.
They've recently gifted him with several items to help him in his efforts for now, more items and abilities may await him along his career and on his adventures when the time comes.
And I'll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
