"Well one of these days Torus I'll show you a thing or two," Violet assured him, smiling a bit as she looked forward to actually training with her new team. There was after all more to her than just being a mutant or just another pretty face, usually something she proved to people when they got a little too overconfident. Usually though she didn't mind going without her powers from time to time so she had other skills she could make use of other than them. Sometimes she can even combine those skills with her mutant powers just to have a little extra edge. So sooner or later she likely would show them with ease.
Chuckling she nodded, "Well I think we'll have plenty of time later for that though you two. For now we probably should finish up the tour."She reminded them, knowing it would be important she knew the layout of the place so she never risked getting lost in this place.

"That'd be awesome!" said Torus, as he wanted to see Violet's powers. He only got a taste of what she could do and he also wanted to show her what he could do. He had a variety of his mom's powers and Torus' father's fire powers to add to it. It was a combination that was hard to beat to some people he came across and wanted to fight. And he could also use his shape shifting powers to fool people or even sneak past situations that were normally hard to get through by a normal person. He could be an infiltrator or a spy if he wanted to go down that road.
"Oh yeah we got to get to the other parts of the tour. Beyond those walls is a lab that belongs to my uncle, Mr. Fantastic. He seems to be in there a lot doing who knows what. Half the time I don't even know what he's talking about so sometimes I don't even bother." Torus said seeing that there was something going on in the lab but he didn't see his uncle there at the moment. Maybe he had no choice but to go out by his aunt to get some fresh air. Torus was sure that Reed would live here if he wanted too. Obviously the FF members wouldn't allow him to stay in the lab for the rest of his days.

"Though just to let you know Torus, I'm not necessarily talking about my powers by the way. Always useful to have other skills you know." Violet informed him with a chuckle, sensing his obvious excitement despite seeing it clear as day as seemed the upbeat type. It probably was a good thing though, with having someone so upbeat likely kept the team on a positive side no matter how dismal something may seem. The young woman even wondered if Torus ever was going to be the type to be down. Although, it seemed to take her empathic abilities just to calm him down before which made her smile inwardly with the fact he definitely was the hyper kind of teen. And he was lucky to have the family he had since he generally had a normal life, save for the heroics he had grown up around.
Glancing towards the walls Torus had pointed out she nodded, "Well best not to spend a day with me then, you'll likely be stuck in a lab for a few hours or more." She chuckled, knowing Torus was aware she worked in labs due to her current part-time and future full time job was. Plus college on top of that certainly made her life a busy one so she had come to figure out an equilibrium after a while.

It was true, it had been very rare for Torus to seem upset about anything unless it was something that affected the entire team. If it may have been a death to someone who was close to them or he knew he screwed up big time and it'd affect the team in some negative way. Accidents happen but the Future Foundation was going to try and not cause them as much as they could. But he did wonder, would he ever meet the half home of the Skrulls in the future? He had heard stories on how they tried to conquer earth-and that's where his mom and dad met in the middle of the war. It was like opposites attracted since they were on different sides. "I understand. It'd be useful instead of me just turning into flames or the Hulk all the time to smash things. It's a lot of fun being him sometimes when you need strength in a battle." Torus said as he knew it was true, one of his favorite avengers-obviously next to the other ones like Thor, Ironman, and Captain America.
"Oh then you can join right in with my Uncle you two would be able to understand each other." Torus said remembering hearing long talks with Reed and Ironman. It was one that he barely understood anything they were talking about. And it probably was better that he didn't listen to them at all. "So onward to the next part of the building." Torus said as he continued to talk about their building. It was rather simple once you got used to it.

Violet chuckled slightly then, "I got strength covered on my end as well thanks to my amethyst form, it helps quite a bit if we get stuck with something for long periods of time. Can maintain that form for a week." She said with a smile as she began following Torus again through the building, noticing a few other labs here and there figuring these were others Reed used. Or it was likely others his co-workers or residence of the building took part in. Perhaps one day she'd consider taking her work there to be closer to the Future Foundation should they really need the help. It was a thought she could entertain but it likely wouldn't be for a while she'd be included in any lab or her own or a hero's lab. Besides, that'd be up to Reed to begin with.
Smiling the young woman nodded, "Probably so Torus, though can't say much for the kind of mechanical inventions your uncle does. I'm more aimed towards rocks and gems, but perhaps as a power source gems might come in handy."She said, knowing she might be able to talk with Reed on some levels but not when it was dealing with mechanics. She also began to see various other parts of the tower as they continued, "Well this place is bigger than I thought."

"That's cool! That's like the Thing and his strength. I'd like to see you guys go together once." Torus said as he looked back at Violet as it was clear he was interested in hearing about her powers. He normally always ways when it came to new members joining their team. It seemed like he knew just about everyone's power already like his parent's and close relatives as is. Though as Torus looked back when he heard Violet speak up about the different areas that he studied, he started to realize that she probably wasn't going to work with Reed any time soon. He knew that Mr. Fantastic had worked with a variety of scientists in the past and became good friends with them...well for the most part. There was one that he hadn't been so fond about. But he had never managed to ask him why.
"You've got a point there. Maybe he'll let you share a part of the lab or give you another area so you can work." Torus said as he thought about it for a second on how they could make her happier or being more comfortable with Violet on the team. So with that they began to move onto the next parts of the building as Torus inspected it. "Ok onwards to the next floors. We've got my dad's car garage, except you know my dad would yell if someone even touched his cars. So we can't get too close to them." Torus said as he began to start after her. He knew he was mostly reminding himself not to touch them. On more than one occasion he had gotten yelled at by his father for accidently burning one of the cars. Soon it wasn't long before they began to head to the sleeping quarters and as well as the remaining floors.
