"Give me your best." Jean beamed at Renard encouragingly. She didn't know if it was him or Luke who had the power. He still read to her as not mutant but the fact that he had a mental link made her think otherwise and she wasn't one to think zebra when asked to picture something that made horse-like noises while it ran. The truth would probably become more evident as she spent more time training with Renard and Luke.

Best? What was his best? Renard had a puzzled look on his face as he titled his head. Showing that he wasn't sure on which one that meant. Luke stood there and let out a sigh. Best eh? Well the only things he allowed Renard access to weren't really anything to be impressed about. A idea came to Luke. "Renard." Luke started, causing the boy to look away from Jean. "I have a idea on what we could show her. You ready?"Renard nodded and Luke gave a smile. Asking him if the boy was ready, Renard nodded his head again. Luke took a deep breath and concentrated, with Renard helping him out it did make creating the illusion easier. A few moments went by before something appeared away from there a little bit, though it soon came into focus. The illusion appeared and resembled the rabbit that Renard held a good deal, however the differences were clear. For one, this rabbit wasn't harmless looking nor shared the appearance of a toy. While the jacket and coloring of the illusion resembled the toy still, it stood 8ft tall on it's hind legs wearing black boots and wielding a scythe. It's eyes were also red in color. The illusion swung the scythe in the air but hit nothing but thin air, it was just to show that it could move as well. Renard turned his gave to Jean. "That's what I was trying to tell you about earlier." Renard explained.

After a moment, Jean doubted her decision of asking a rather shy kid for his best, but she was pleased to see that her fears had been without reason when, a moment later, a huge black rabbit appeared nearby. She almost started at the sight of the frightening red-eyed rabbit, half-expecting something Telekinesis related at that point and a lot smaller.
"That's amazing, Renard." She whispered, as if she feared to disturb the illusion by talking louder. Even clapped her hands silently. It had been a while since she had last resorted to illusions in battle and that made her a little nostalgic. It reminded Jean of her first adventures as Marvel Girl.
"I'd say that's pretty advanced." She had to admit. "So, what else do you have? Let's see some TK... that's short for Telekinesis." The teacher remembered to add in the end.

The rabbit vanished after Jean gave her opinion. There was no point in keeping it going. Luke could only keep that illusion for fifty minutes in total. And since they were still showing her what they could do, it was best to conserve the energy they had. While it mostly took Luke's strength to use the powers, some of Renard's was needed.
While Renard was glad that Jean liked it, he turned his attention to the books on the table. They all weren't huge, and soon the book on illusions was floating in the air and went over to float in front of Jean. It was easy to move one book since it wasn't really large or heavy. The other books were like that though...he wasn't going to try. Might be too much.
"That's pretty much it..." Renard said.

"I'd say that's quite a lot for someone your age." She said openly impressed and took the book from the air. Jean didn't want to get into details, but training her TK hadn't been easy. "The illusions can come in very handy to escape a tight situation, but it seems like you've got that one pretty nailed down, so how about we practice some fine motor skills?" Jean suggested.
She placed the book back on the desk but kept her eyes on him. "Can you open it and pass the pages as if you were reading?" She asked. It was more a request than a challenge. She wanted to see the expression on his face while he did so, to evaluate just how much effort he was putting into the task.

"It is?" Renard asked surprised.
It was a lot? Renard was surprised but then again, he was just a kid and the powers were still very new to him. He just spent a lot of time practicing with Luke's help. Though his surprise disappeared when Jean asked if could move the pages. He quickly shook his head.
"I...I can't....the pages are...too thin and light..." Renard answered nervously. "I've tried in the past but they never budged."
(ooc: Sorry that this took so long.)

(OOC: Likewise Jean nodded with a maternal smile. It felt good to be helping someone who needed her. It was completely different than being useful at the school. There was another dozen teachers at the mansion who could pitch in if she couldn't deal with a particular student and they also had each other. Renard, on the other hand, only had himself and that strange man who talked to him inside his head. "That's OK," she reassured him. "What's the smallest thing you've ever managed to move?"
