Jean had spent some time trying to think of the perfect place for her and Renard to train. It was a good thing, having something to think about during her free time that didn't make her feel sad. Ultimately, she decided that the right kind of place would be an abandoned storage building and used her powers to survey the surroundings of the area where she and the kid had met, looking for something that fell into that category.
A couple of days later, she had a particular place on mind and, thus, she decided to contact her soon to become unofficial student.
It was right after dinner. Jean had retired to her room and reclined over a bunch of pillows before stretching her mind's tendrils looking for Renard's specific mind signature. When she found it, she opened the smallest channel she could, trying not to disturb the link with Luke so the kid wouldn't freak out. Then, she sent: "Hey Renard. It's Jean. I think I've found the perfect place to train." She informed.

Renard remembered the meeting he had with Jean, how he meet her that is. It wasn't going to be something he'd forget either. After all, there was another person out there that could do stuff like Luke could. Plus the fact that they could get help from Jean was another reason why the lad made sure to remember.
Luke was looking forward to it in a way. While he did want to learn about his powers and control them better, he was still being careful. Jean so far wasn't a threat but there could be people who were after Jean that would become a thread to Renard. Even with those kinds of thoughts on his mind, he didn't speak the negative parts. Instead he encouraged Renard to wait for Jean to tell them when they were to meet.
To their surprise, they would learn after dinner when Renard was doing the last part of his homework. Luke had to remind the lad due to him being stuck in waiting for Jean's reply. The spirit hadn't been too startled when the presence of Jean was in Renard's mind, it still surprised him but oh well.
"She found a place!" Renard exclaimed to Luke.

The message had been as succinct as she could. At least, until she got a general feel of Renard's mind to make sure the other link hadn't been severed and the kid wasn't panicking again. Once she felt reassured on that front, she sent the address to the kid. It was relatively close to the square where they had met, though not as close as the junkyard would have been. Hoewver, the streets around it were relatively safer in comparison and made it an overall better choice.
"You think you could make it there?" Jean didn't know where the kid lived and still wanted to respect his privacy, so she was asking. Maybe his house was in the opposite direction, as the only reference she had was the park. "I'm free Tuesdays and Thursdays around the time we met at the park."

Renard thought it over. Could he get there? Maybe Luke knew where it was at? Renard looked at Luke and could see the spirit pondering over the address in his own mind.
"Yes I know where that is." Luke said.
We can get there. Renard thought in his head. Shall we go there now?
Due to not having telepathy as a ability, he didn't know if Jean would hear his reply.

Jean was waiting for his reply inside Renard's head, knowing the kid would probably have no other means of contacting her just yet.
The question surprised her. Yes, she had the time, but wasn't it a bit too late for a kid his age, who didn't really control his powers yet, to be wandering the streets alone? She'd have to put a mental tag on him and sort of follow him telepathically to make sure he got there safe, she thought. It was doable, all right. There was only one last problem.
"Won't your parents object to you leaving the house after dinner?" She inquired. Causing the boy trouble at home was the least she wanted to do.

It surprised Renard that Jean replied to his question. After all, he wasn't sure if she'd hear it. But it was nice to know that Jean had heard him.
Sisters are over at a sleep over, mom had to go back to work and dad's working a late shift. Renard thought. No one will be home for either hours or until tomorrow afternoon.
It was true.

Jean felt a pang of loneliness at the thought that the kid would be home alone, especially since she had the impression that was the norm for him. Otherwise, why would he had been at the park? She suppressed those thoughts for the time being.
"All right, then. Meet you at the deposit." She agreed trying to sound enthusiastic. Not that she wasn't but Jean just didn't show that kind of emotion too much, nor had a reason to in a long time. "I'll use my powers to make sure you get there safe, so don't worry." She promised getting out of bed. There was a couple of things she had to get ready before leaving the mansion.

Okay. Renard thought as he turned his gaze to Luke smiling.
Luke returned the smile as he stood there. However, soon Renard took off running with the stuffed rabbit in his arms, Luke following but invisible to all. It was a sad thing that Renard was often alone here. In fact....Luke felt that it was a familiar feeling. Yeah....he grew up alone, completely alone. His own mother didn't allow for him to have contact with other family members. At least Renard had siblings and loving parents.
It took a little while, but the two did arrive at the address that Jean sent them. They arrived with no problems like she had said she'd make sure that they did. So now it was time to just wait.

Jean took a coat, her purse and made a quick trip to the library and borrowed a couple of used textbooks. The ones she had helped write for the school's students rather than publishing. Then, she left the mansion.
Reaching the building wasn't a problem for her either and was pleased to see that Renard hadn't encountered any problems either. She had arrived a little late because the place wasn't as close to the mansion. "I'm almost there." Jean sent when she sensed Renard had arrived.
"Nice seeing you again" The redhead walked towards Renard with a smile and opened the building's door as if it weren't locked. It had been unlocked by her TK just a moment before, but the movement seemed fluid enough to make anyone think that it wasn't locked to begin with. She entered the abandoned building and looked around appraising the place. A huge dusty room containing a bunch of old furniture extended in front of them, but there was plenty of space to practice what they wanted. Next, she searched for the light switch and hoped for the best. Good. There was still power.
"This should work." She said approvingly and then turned to Renard. "Don't you think?"

Renard waited patiently but grew excited when Jean said she was almost there. SO his eyes were almost immediately looking about for the adult. When he did catch sight of her, he waved with his left hand since he was holding the stuffed animal with his right one.
"Nice to see you again as well." Renard said with a smile.
Watching Jean go over to the door, he assumed the door had been unlocked. So it wasn't long before they were inside and looking around. The place showed that no one had been here in a good amount of time with the dust on everything. At least the lights came on, he was glad for that.
"I agree." Renard said as he glanced at Luke, Luke nodded his head which caused Renard to smile.

She mirrored the gesture with a smile. Renard seemed like a sweet kid and a pang of loneliness hit her once more at the thought that she had never been able to had kids and probably never would. It was true that her genetic material was all over the place, but she hadn't gone through any part of the process herself while Scott had had his chance at parenthood, even if he had blown it. Then, she understood that was probably the main reason why she was taking an unofficial student.
"I took the liberty of bringing you some of the books we use at the school in case you were interested." Jean announced taking out a couple of worn volumes from her oversize purse. Her green eyes scanned the place and, a moment later, all the dust on an old desk had flown away. She walked to it from the other way and left the books on it before taking another volume.
"I'd really appreciate it if you didn't show them to anyone except for Luke." She added in a serious tone, looking to hold Renard's gaze.

Text books? Renard was curious as to what kind of books that this school used. So it did catch his interest in them. Renard went over to where Jean was by the table and watched her. Listening to her words as she explained what she'd appreciate done with them.
"Well since your school is a secret, no one's gonna know about the books." Renard said, in his own way saying that he wasn't going to show anyone the books since Jean had told him the school was secret and not to talk about it either.

"Thank you." She replied with a warm smile. "The other teachers and I put a lot of effort in making this material." It would had been too ironic to have it work against them, though there was nothing on the books themselves that could link them to the school. The title of one indicated that it was on mutant history and maybe a bit of genetics. Then, there was one about telekinesis and another one about illusions, apparently.
"Oh, before we start... you might be wondering why I brought the book on illusions. You might want to talk to Luke about this, but what you described the other day sounded like a combination of Telekinetic force and and a Telepathic illusion. That would explain why the objects he can conjure seem to be tangible." That was all she had to say about the books, so her mind started thinking about their lesson as her eyes scanned the place for something they could use.
"Would you like to show me what you can do?" She suggested. That would give her a place to start that was closer to Renard's level.

"You're welcome." Renard said.
Besides, no one would believe him. He had learned that due to how everyone thought he was nuts. Luke liked the idea of there being a school for people with gifts. It sounded like it was a good place. Each book was puzzling upon first glance, though illusions made a little sense.
"What first?" Renard asked in terms of showing what Luke could do.
Well...really Luke's power was able to be used by Renard. But it was still actually Luke's power.
