Returning the Favor (Clint, Cap)

He heard the notification from Jarvis as the other two heroes had arrived. Jarvis had endured a lot from his creator those days, so being polite was nothing wrong with the AI obviously; Tony ha called him things that probably shouldn’t have been mentioned to little kids because he had gotten so upset over things. And other times he had been kidding around with the AI. As usual Tony could hear Clint’s chirpy voice of making fun of several heroes, even if it was his best friend. Though that didn’t surprise him that much, that was Clint’s personality.

Though he didn’t see that side in his son, Francis wasn’t near as easy to strike laughter with and often got into trouble. That trouble part was for sure from Clint as he passed it down from him. Tony wasn’t exactly in the mood for the name calling, but he knew that Clint didn’t mean it in a hard way, he had been with the hero for about fifteen years now and started to get used to him and the others. They did after all have to work together. “It looks like they’re in.” Tony said and there was his excuse not to work on these papers. The Avengers had come first on many occasions just like this one.

Tony was well aware of what Clint meant by being rich, that obviously wasn’t going to be the prize for this questionnaire. He had all the money he wanted, a super rich, playboy, the owner of Ironman and Star Industries. That was a lot to go bye for such a title. But he hadn’t exactly told anyone yet, but he was sure that someone would find out soon that he had been dating another Avenger that he had recently let join. Yuki had been smart just like he was to when it came to technology, there was also something else that had sparked in her that he liked, and he just wasn’t entirely sure what it was. But he was sure that the other heroes knew by now or had figured out that he had been dating someone. He just had a feeling that this dating would last far better than the other ones that he had come across in the past with other girls. Yuki might possibly be the keeper for the solo Tony. That is if she can keep him away from flirting with all the other girls.

That was definitely not the news he had been expecting to come with the two Avengers. The Brotherhood resurfaced, and even worse now they had to worry about Magneto again. “Well as if this bad news keeps piling up. I almost had a confrontation with Magneto myself a few months ago which should have been nothing but a ‘friendly’ meeting. It’s always the same though; Magneto always seems to follow with danger or some sort of problem.” Tony said with a soft nod as it was clear he was being drained and as well as tired from the constant work that was going on. With the Phoenix Force that had struck the building most of the heroes had been nursing old wounds. Even on occasions it was difficult for Tony to try and put on a happy face. He did manage to do it every once in awhile…

“Is there anything else that you found out that isn’t bad news? Or is there a bit of both from the meeting with the X-Men?” Tony asked as he tried to figure out what was going on besides Magneto. He knew that Magneto was bad, but he wanted to try and at least have some light shed on their bad news. The last thing he wanted was to hear nothing but bad news all day. It wasn’t going to help. “By the way Cap on another note, I’ve been meaning to tell you that Logan had arrived last night by a copter to see what has been going on in the past few weeks. It seems like he was interested in speaking with you in private when you had the chance too.” Tony said. He knew that Logan was a part time Avenger and also a part of the New Avengers. Being that the X-Men had been back and forth with the Avengers, and vice versa it didn’t surprise him that much. It was more like Logan was here on his own professional business, or from his own guess it had something to do with the X-Men.

Heck maybe all he needed was a few days by himself and Yuki. Sometimes being alone and not worrying about things and being with his girlfriend. He still had a lot to learn about her and she did with him. Though if she wanted to keep that a secret that was fine with him as well. If a girl didn't want to dive to hard into their past, he would understand.

Tony pause as he listened to Clint say that he had to give him a text message. He understood that Clint had other things to do besides hanging around the Avengers. He put his folders of papers that he had mostly looked through by now back on the table. "It's understandable, they're still coping with the loss." Tony said with a soft nod knowing that would take time. Time healed all wounds it seemed.

Though when Cap had asked where Wolverine was, it was pretty clear in Tony's mind where the older mutant was by now. Wolverine had said he was going to do some training in their training room, not that it was the state of the art like the X-Men's Danger Room. But it had been upgraded with its own style of simulation that would no doubt be a test for their skills and to train the younger Avengers, "Last I heard he was in the training room. Doesn't surprise me that much that he's there." Tony said hoping that Logan would at least go easy on it since that would only be more repairs that he'd have to worry about.

"I think you're good here. I just have boring paper work that has to be sorted through, signed and read. Watch as I fall asleep as soon as you two leave." Tony explained. He could probably think of ten other things that he'd prefer to do instead of this. He could be designing more Ironman Armors-though it seemed like he had enough as is. So scratch that, what about another invention? He knew he always had something in the shop that probably had to be looked at or tinkered with.

Tony dismissed Clint and Cap with a soft nod as he watched his friends leave but he looked back seeing that he had come right back. Though Tony had gotten up from his seat seeing that he might have a chance of finishing the paperwork in his office. Less distractions there ...maybe. Then Clint asked about Francis, true he tended to keep to himself but trouble was never far from the young Avenger, "He hasn't gone very far these past couple of days due a leg injury. Don't worry though he's doing pretty well with recovering." Tony said but he knew that probably wasn't going to stop him from worrying about his son. Tony always worried about the team even when he didn't have to. "He's on the top floor from when I last saw him. He could still be there." Tony replied.

It was just like what Tony had said as Wolverine was in the training room. Damaged robots had littered the floor from where he had been fighting them off. And the obvious signs of claw marks from Logan's adamantium claws could be seen in them. It was clear cut, like he had done it so many times in the past without fail. After a bit he turned back to where Cap was as he announced his arrival with a knock on the glass. "Jarvis pause my training session for a few minutes." Logan said as he began to head outside as the simulation froze almost instantly as he went out to go see his old friend. He stepped out side to see Cap and nodded back towards him, "There you are. I figured you'd be with the Avengers these days. Either that or you'd already be gone on a mission somewhere and I'd have to track you down the hard way." Logan said even though there was a slight tease in it. He knew that Cap had bee busy helping the Avengers, and saving the citizens of course.
