Dark and Stormy (Open)

"Yeah it is weird. I at least thought they'd send someone like Hawkeye, you know that guy with arrows? You've probably seen him a few times." Nova agreed as he thought SHIELD would send someone down. Sam did turn back to his communication as Ironman was still waiting for them on an answer, "Yeah you can come down with us, Ironman. We're in the sewers, so you'll have to use one of your signals to find us." Sam added as he was given the ok. It wasn't long before he heard Tony give them the ok. It wouldn't belong before Tony would find them.

He did hear about the train wreck and as well as all the heroes that had arrived on the scene to help out with the damage. Ironman had been there to help save some of the ones that had been trapped under the rubble. Then a realization struck him on where he had seen this man before. It was on the television. "Wait a minute, I know where I've heard about you Davyn. That train wreck that happened. I wasn't even in the United States at the time it happened so SHIELD couldn't use me to help the others." Sam said feeling a bit guilty but it seemed like he had managed to pull through. SHIELD had to send out their best men to the right areas and go with it from there.

"I'm sure you'll be introduced to him. He's one of the older agents as far as I know. He's been there longer than I have I think." Sam said as he thought about it. He knew quite a bit of the shield agents that were on his same level of an agent like the others. He knew there were still of plenty new recruits that he hadn't met yet and may never meet them if they were sent to different areas around the United States or even other countries. So there was a chance that he'd never see them any time soon.

But the realization came to him once again as he looked back at Davyn. It was clear he was remembering those days and the information that SHIELD had given to him for looking for Davyn. He found him pretty easily too. But it was no surprise that SHIELD had been interested in him. there was just something about Davyn that SHIELD had wanted in him. Not that Sam wanted to be one of a nosey person, if Davyn didn't want to use his powers that was fine by him. But he'd have to be ready for a charging monster at any point.

"Oh yeah, I remember that now. Looks like SHIELD had some interest in you no doubt." Sam said remembering that day being kind of awkward. Well here they were now working together in the same mission to figure out what the monster was doing. Sam had no idea that he would one day work with the same SHIELD agent that SHIELD had sent him out to go look for and possibly recruit. "Anyways the news had broadcasted the train wreck, well the results of it anyways. There were just some things that they never put up in fear that it was a bit to well you know gruesome for some audiences. Either way it looked pretty bad." Sam said remembering seeing Ironman there as well who had helped dig out some pathways to the ones that were stuck in the rubble.

"Heay guys I'm almost there. I've been locked on your signal." Ironman's voice called out on Sam's communicator as he talked to the two of them to show how close he was. Still Sam began to wonder if three heroes would be enough to take Abomination down. They may need an entire team to help them out with this. "I sure hope we can stop him before things get worse." Sam said with concern.

It seems everyone has their reason for joining the SHILED agents. His had been simple he hadn't had a teacher nor knew really where to turn. It seemed that Fury himself had found him along the way and recruited him. Sure Sam could turn and live a life of solitary on his own as an unaffiliated super hero. But he wouldn't have learned half the things he knew without their help. Figures though that he came from a different view point and he nodded back to Davyn, "They did, I caught a few whispers every now and again but I wonder if Fury was trying to keep everything silent. Who knows really." Sam added.

"Davyn I'm sorry if I dragged you out here. From the sound of your tone of voice, you don't really want to be here. If anything Ironman and I can do our best to stop him." Sam said but even he knew that Tony wasn't very fond of SHIELD agents. Either way Sam was willing to do this alone if that was the case. He had worked on many missions alone so this one wouldn't be much different. Sam didn't do to well with some other group members, so he rather work on his own without hurting anyone's feelings or harming them. "There you guys are...am I in the middle of something?" Ironman said as he began to come towards them but Sam looked at the two to see what they would say. If Davyn wanted to leave here was his chance. though if he wanted to stay, that meant there would be three against one...or maybe two.

"All kinds of things. Like weird theories that they thought of and half of them don't even make sense. Kind of like that. I don't think anyone knows what really happened." Sam said as they spoke back and forth as they waited for Ironman to arrive. Though he did feel a bit better once Davyn said it was alright. He didn't have to feel guilty for bringing him down here. Tony came by his own choice, Davyn though he hadn't been entirely sure since now. Sam looked back a the two and nodded as Davyn suggested what they did next. He was right they had to keep following the footprints or they were going to loose Abomination entirely. "Ok that makes me feel a bit better." Nova said.

"Alright let's go." Ironman said as Sam followed not far from him or Davyn as an idea formed in his head. Would Davyn accept it though? He wasn't entirely sure at this point but he could at least try as he slowed down letting Tony take the lead. Well Tony was a leader of the Avengers, so it kind of made sense. "Heay Davyn I remember you said that you didn't know too many SHIELD agents. Well I can try hard to be one of your friends or allies. I don't have a ton of friends either in the SHIELD group. Does that sound like an idea?" Sam asked. In a way they were both hiding something from the public. His identity and what Davyn had as a monster creature with him. Though there wa sthe flip side to what he had considered, maybe Sam was making a bad choice with that. It was really hard to say.

"yeah I don't really feel too comfortable about it." Sam said knowing that some of the theories might hurt Davyn. Though in his own opinion some of them were a bit strange and didn't really make much sense. he wondered why they had even come up in the theories that had come up with the train wreck.

"I understand. It's probably a bad idea now that I think about it." Sam said with a soft sigh as he thought about it. Maybe he was best left alone and not meant to really join a team. He knew Fury had tried it a few times but it didn't go so well with him. And maybe it was clear Sam was just better off going by himself or one or two agents. If it was a group you'd count him out almost immediately. "Guys I hate to interrupt you again but I found more footprints of our lizard friend." Ironman said as he pointed his flashlights in front of the group showing what he meant. There was one footprint nearby and then again with further up the street.

"I know SHIELD has some information on it. Down here there are some generators that often resupply New York if there is a black out. They happened a lot in the past since we didn't seem to really understand electricity. Some could have been abandoned. Maybe he's trying to claim a few of them." Sam said wondering what a monster would use on electricity. It was clear that a monster alone would not want it for some simple reason. Someone else had to be behind this.

"That's a pretty good theory Nova. There are a lot of things down here in the sewer that the monster might be after besides the gross water that we used up. There's also the purifiers that are closer to the ends of the sewers that clean out most of the water." Ironman said as he continued to look around. Tony paused as he heard Jarvis speak up on his monitors again and that normally meant bad news again for them. "Warning enemy target coming in your area." Jarvis said as Tony got ready for this however it was too late as a large piece of concrete came flying at them. "Guys duck now!" He called out as he nearly avoided getting smacked by it. "There goes Jarvis again telling us at the last minute that we have a bad guy following us." Tony said not happy at all.

"Yeah it seems to be that way." Tony said as Sam got out of the way just in time. But even he felt his heart racing after this. The piece of concrete fell to the side and landed in the water making a decent splash but that was the least of their worries. "From the looks of it this guy was probably sent own to stall us from getting to Abomination." Tony said as he charged his repulsor rays. "We have to finish him quickly." He added as he sent one towards the creature but it was also swift and it dodged the first one, then the next one hit it as it let out a low growl of annoyance.

"right looks like we have this one first." Sam said as he began to charge his photon blasts for helping Tony. Was there anything that Davyn could do, he wondered? He wasn't entirely sure on that one since he hadn't seen Davyn use any powers at all yet. Or he had not wanted to use them at all. Either way, two on one wasn't so bad right now. It'd just be real bad if Abomination decided to show up.
