Vasilii hadn't been able to fall asleep for hours, he remained on his bed staring at the ceiling. Why? Why couldn't he just fall asleep? He hadn't been on Earth for very long but there really wasn't anything that attached him to Asgard for him to be missing. Considering that he really wasn't connected to his family when he left. Once it turned into 3:00 am in the morning, Vasilii couldn't stay in his room anymore.
Grabbing his spellbook, he left his quarters and headed to the living room area. Taking a seat on the couch a sigh left him as he glanced around. It was quiet, very quiet but he knew that was due to everyone sleeping. Opening the book he started to read the pages. Perhaps just reading for a while would help him to relax enough to sleep. However he soon heard a creaking sound on the floorboards and thus it resulted in him looking up from the book to the person who made the sound.
"Sorry if I woke you up." Vasilii apologized.
(OOC: I wasn't sure which floor the living room area would be, I remember there being something like that when Vasilii first joined but I don't remember where it was.)

A yawn escaped Ateyo as he walked through the quiet halls of the Baxter Building, not really seeing anyone in sight. Of course when one took into consideration the time it was it didn't surprise him that not even any of the scientists and engineers weren't even up for a long night. Some sleep was good once in a while, especially for common humans. But like Vasilii Ateyo was no ordinary being. In fact, he was what some might consider a supernatural being, a rare hybrid of two of them to be exact: a werewolf-vampire hybrid. His kind was rather rare and so far he had never met another hybrid like himself and he had yet to meet a vampire or werewolf he considered to be "okay" in his book, so he never was really trying hard to ever be around his own kind.
And considering his heritage Ateyo could go a few days without sleep or rest, so he was fine covering the night patrols for his new team. Though he also took them since not everyone seemed to trust him that much, Vivian especially. Their first meeting hadn't exactly gone well and despite his invitation to the team she still saw him as another monster, which he probably could agree with, but she never could seem to see past that part of him. Sighing softly he couldn't help but feeling a little lonely on occasion and didn't expect anyone else to be up until he caught the scent of someone else up, a rather new scent he had caught a few times.
Having been curious for a little while Ateyo decided to follow this smell, finding it nothing close to being human or mutant. No it was much different. And as he was approaching the room in which Vasilii resided the young hybrid heard the Asgardian speak up and merely chuckled as he came into sight, "No need to apologize, I've been awake. I can go a few days without sleep in fact." He told him as he looked at the Asgardian. "I'm assuming your the Asgardian I've heard about around here?"He asked.

Great...so this guy knew huh? Well yeah they were on the same team but Vasilii was hoping to keep that a secret for a little while. Closing the spell book, a sigh left him.
"Yeah...I'm the poor excuse of a Asgardian." Vasilii answered. "I'm from Asgard and yet...I'm barely anything like the others there. Hence the poor excuse of being one."
Glancing down at his spell book, he tried to figure out what to say. He moved the book around in his hands as he sat there. After a few moments, he turned his gaze back Ateyo.
"I'm Vasilii and you?" Vasilii asked.

"Poor excuse?" Ateyo couldn't help raising an eye brow slightly at that. "You know, even if your a god of some kind you're bound to be different somehow and that's not always a bad thing. Least it shouldn't be." Ateyo told him. And he certainly could relate a bit, knowing he was quite different from most in the supernatural world but he almost doubted it would faze the likes of an Asgardian. Mean this guy probably had seen some strange things in his life time though the young man couldn't know for sure. He'd been on Earth all his life after all.
Nodding then in greeting he finally spoke, "Nice to meet you Vasilii, my name is Ateyo. And wouldn't exactly say I'm much like those of my kind either, well the supernatural kind most specifically."He said as he took a seat on one of the recliners. Though a chuckle escaped him, "Unfortunately, I don't work much with the team itself compared to probably you and the other newcomers. A lot of the staff here and Vivian aren't very fond of me or scared of me. Course when your a vampre-werewolf hybrid guess it doesn't sit well with some people." Certainly it was difficult being part of a team that some of the members didn't seem to be comfortably around you.

"I'm not a god of any kind. I was just born in Asgard." Vasilii replied. "WEll...being different in my case is a bad thing. Considering how everyone in Asgard is....pretty much are powerhouses, I'm not. Only thing I can really do is some spells and my father didn't take well to it, pretty much he's the brute force guy."
Plus there was the fact that everyone in Asgard knew that Loki used magic only pretty much. So...that was another reason his father didn't take well to it. The old Asgardian also had several other sons, who were all perfect in his eyes. And the youngest....which was Vasilii, was nothing but a disappointment.
Listening to Ateyo's words, he was surprised. Ateyo seemed like a normal human by first glance and he knew that people were more than they appear. Though it still confused him as to Ateyo not doing much on the team.
"You're still part of the team, we're all suppose to work together. No one should do more or less than the others really." Vasilii said.

"Ah, but when it comes to most earthlings Vasilii those of Asgard are considered gods. They have been that way for many years, even back in the twentieth century I recall there were some who believed that's all Asgardians were, gods of myth like those of Olympians or Egyptian gods." Ateyo explained to him, figuring Vasilii might not be aware of such a history. He recalled a time or two he had read that all kinds of gods had been worshipped back in ancient times but that rarely happened nowadays. Tilting his head though he gave a slight shrug, "But there's not much you can do of being different. Sometimes you just have to accept that fact, embrace it perhaps, and show people your an excellent person with the skills you have." He told him.
Though with hearing Vasilii's words next he merely chuckled, "I don't really do any more or less I just am a bit careful of who I team up with. I've tried with Vivian a few times but she doesn't feel comfortable around me so for now I usually work alone as I once did or team up with someone who doesn't mind what I am." Ateyo told him, showing some indifference to it for now as he had become relatively used to such reactions. There had even been times he had been run out of an area for what he was but there were also those times a few had been kind to him. Heck, he even had a relationship with a normal human at one point.

That was strange. Why think that all of Asgard were Gods? Yes, Odin, Thor, and Loki were gods; along with a few others. He was learning about Earth's history, slowly but surely. He was learning about it through books, not in a school.
"I thought it was just the Norse Gods that everyone thought was Asgard? Course...they are." Vasilii answered.
Embrace it huh? Well in a way, he guessed he did. After all, he sneaked away to learn magic from another Asgardian and then he pretty much ran away from Asgard.
"Oh." Vasilii replied. "Well...I'm fine with what you are. If you want we can give it a try? So long as you're okay with my magic cause...that's really all I can do."

"Every set of gods has their own places, Vasilii and just about every human and being on this Earth knows that. But you learn something new every day I suppose," Ateyo explained to him. The young hybrid though was beginning to realize though that this Asgardian still probably had some thing to learn about this realm or planet, however one were to label it for Asgardians. It was his first time being around someone who could be seen as a god among mortals even if he was just a minor god at that. Ateyo turned his head a bit as he heard faint footsteps but could tell they were coming from the kitchen area upon this floor, which most of the rooms did have them.
Though he only shrugged when he heard Vasilii could only use magic, "Interesting talent you must have among Asgardians, a rarity from what I've heard. Nonetheless, I don't mind it at all, long as I know you have my back just as I'd have your's during missions that's all I worry about Vasilii. If we are to be a team after all we should be able to trust each other." He assured him, expressing the fact he'd just prefer to be able to trust the young man and didn't mind what powers he had.

"Only those who are known in legends have a place in Asgard, I'm only a citizen." Vasilii replied.
Vasilii had many things he needed to learn about this world and he had learned things. This world was different from Asgard in many ways, which was a good thing and bad. Even in Asgard he didn't quite fit in and here? Well he wasn't sure about that just yet. Maybe he had a chance here?
"It is I guess, the only other known person is....Loki." Vasilii answered and he nodded his head. "I'll have your back. Perhaps it be best though to...to show you what spells I do know so you know it's me and not the enemy? Only if you want that is."
(ooc: So sorry for this being super late)

"I see," Ateyo said, a little surprised to hear this but at the same time he guessed it wasn't quite that surprising. Normally demi-gods and lesser gods weren't exactly heard in legends, myths, or stories much and if they did get any notice it usually was a small role. So perhaps this was such a case for Vasilii in this matter. "Might be others you haven't yet heard of Vasilii, but think all that matters is that you carve a name for yourself. Don't let someone who can use magic too be the one that builds a bad rep for magic using Asgardians, especially since you hardly seem like that Loki fellow." Ateyo told him, hoping to reassure the young Asgardian that he had a chance to show he wasn't anything like Loki. People could often have the same talents and skills but it was how they used them that truly made a difference.
Though the young hybrid had to admit he was somewhat curious about what Vasilii could do but at the same time he didn't want the young man to end up tired. "You can if you wish to Vasilii, but don't tire yourself out."He said, not wanting to get one of his new teammates exhausted just from demonstrations. But of course he didn't know how strong Vasilii was with his spells either.
