Renard was hiding in the shade of a tree, the stuffed rabbit was against his chest with both of his own arms wrapped around it. Holding onto it as if it was dear life. His face was buried on the rabbits head and his back was against the tree trunk. In reality he was suppose to be at school however....he didn't want to. He almost lost Luke today by going there and that was something he didn't want. So the best option was to not be there.
It's alright, they're just jerks. Luke said in a kind voice, trying to comfort Renard.
The spirit was sitting on the ground right next to the boy but only Renard could see him. Luke was trying to think of more to say to the boy. What should he say? Before he could speak though a sudden boom went off in the sky and a downpour of rain started. A sigh left the spirit as he sat there. Just great. He turned his gaze back to Renard.
Renard, you should go home. Luke added. Your mother is going to be worried about you. The principle most likely contacted your mother as soon as you left, she's most likely looking for you.

Why of all days did it have to rain? Amethyst couldn't believe it when it was one of the few times she was out and about New York City. Unfortunately, it seemed she had miscalculated when the rain was going to start coming down and now she was taking refuge in the park to try and get out of it. Though it wasn't helping much as she shifted under a tree slightly, trying to use some thick branches above her as cover with her fur soaked already along with her clothes, making her shiver slightly. Definitely not the best weather to be in when one was literally covered in fur, especially from her Neyaphem heritage and even when it was glossy it didn't make it repellent to it. She was already having to shake herself dry several times and her light purple fur looked darker than it usually did.
Sighing softly, Amethyst gave up trying and merely pulled her jacket closer to herself as the rain came pouring down. But she noticed from the corner of her pupil-less mismatched eyes movement from another tree, making her look closer enough to see a young boy it looked like. Maybe at least twelve or thirteen at the most which made her surprised and worried. Looking around she quickly moved to a tree close to her before moving across to the next ones, using her mutation's own physical attributes and the ones that she got from gymnastics and finally reached the one where Renard was and Luke, who she could not see. That was when a though occurred to her and she shifted to a branch above the boy and his rabbit, raising her hand slightly and generating a silvery white disc that actually blocked the rain from hitting him and luckily herself. "You know kid, you keep in this rain your going to catch a cold."She told him.
Though Amethyst began to wonder if he might become scared of her. He demonic appearance often scared people, and her eye mutation didn't exactly help with that as it sometimes freaked them out while it rarely fascinated some. She just hoped her kind gesture might help show she meant Renard no harm.

Renard didn't answer Luke, all he did was curl up tighter around the rabbit he was holding. Though he was confused when the rain stopped falling on him. Raising his head, he looked around until he heard Amethyst talk. He then looked up to the tree and caught sight of her.
He was scared. More due to the fact that he didn't know who Amethyst was but her appearance did tie into the fear. Luke didn't notice her until Amethyst spoke. Turning his attention to her, he was ready to spring into action if it was needed. Though he hoped it wasn't needed.
"W...Who are you?" Renard asked as he sat there, he shivered slightly but that was due to the cold.

When seeing the usual fear Amethyst was almost certain she would be told to leave but surprisingly Renard at least asked who she was. "My name is Amethyst Moore, I'm a mutant and student at the Jean Grey School, kind of just out here hoping to get a break from school work but didn't exactly go as planned." She introduced herself as she allowed the disc to turn into a half dome that hover above her and to a point above Renard and the rabbit he held, which Luke's spirit inhabited. She then climbed down with the dome following and she settled beside the boy and looked at him in wonder with seeing the fact he should have likely been in school at this moment when she thought about it.
"I'm sorry if I scared you at all, you seemed to be having problems with the rain so thought I would come over to give you some better cover. It's not much but it'll help you a bit." She said to him with a smile. "So, what's your name?" She added curiously, hoping maybe some conversation might help lower his fearfulness of her. Maybe it might even help distract him from the rain since it seemed to definitely be getting to him and that was pretty clear. At this rate they'd have to find some place better for shelter rather than a tree.

Renard watched AMethyst use her powers to shield them both from teh rain. She seemed to have a pretty good hold of her powers. He stayed put though, just so he wouldn't upset Amethyst. Wait....Jean Grey? He knew her but wasn't that place of her's meant to be secret?
"Isn't that place meant to be a secret? Jean told me it was as secret." Renard asked.
The rain wasn't what was wrong, it was school. Now that he thought about it, he probably shouldn't of said that he knew Jean. Luke shook his head as he sat there, well there was no reason yelling at Renard. The poor lad had been through enough.
"I'm Renard and this is Luke." Renard introduced, when he said Luke, he used his powers to have the arm on the stuff rabbit move in order to wave.
It was the only way that Luke would get a say in things. Even though his friend was sitting next to him as a spirit.

"Technically it is secret, excerpt for those who are invited or enrolled to the place to learn there. And some people are told of it but rarely does that happen, and I'm assuming your one of them since you seem to know Ms.Grey."Amethyst told him, looking quite surprised to hear he knew of the school and one of the teachers. This meant the boy had met someone from her school and might be one of the few humans not on some kind of team or belonging to an organization that knew of it. Though the chances of him ever seeing the school itself was likely slim since they never took in humans from what she knew or rarely let them live there except for refuge.
Though once the boy introduced himself and the rabbit she seemed even more surprised by the rabbit's movement on its own. Was Renard doing that or someone else? She hadn't seen anyone else around or near the boy an not many people were out and about in this weather, even in New York. "Wait your a mutant too?"She couldn't help asking when seeing the movement. First she figured it was telekinesis of some kind or maybe a power she had yet to see. Maybe it was some kind of object animation and that was why the rabbit waved all it's own. She remembered when she was a kid the only way a stuffed animal could move was when she or someone else physically did so and the boy didn't even do that.
What Amethyst wasn't aware of was that Luke was really a spirit, one within the rabbit. Nor was she aware that the powers were really his and not Renard's.

"I did meet her." Renard said. "More than once."
He wasn't sure if he should tell her this stuff. He promised Jean he wouldn't and now...he was kind of breaking that promise wasn't he? The surprise that Amethyst showed when he used the powers Luke gave him. People were normally surprised when people saw something they couldn't explain.
"I...I have abilities." Renard said. "Luke helps with it. He's...he's not really just this, he's right here as well."
Renard pointed to right next to him to show where Luke was. Sadly he knew that Amethyst wouldn't be able to see him. Jean did but only due to her being able to go into his head.
"He's bound to this." Renard added, referring to the rabbit.

"Oh, I see." Amethyst said, though she decided not to pry into how he knew Jean. Whatever was going on between this boy and her teacher was their business and she figured it might have to do with his powers but that was nothing to be ashamed of. For now though it was just not her place to press the matter. Though as Renard went on to explain that the abilities were helped by Luke the rabbit Amethyst almost wanted to not believe the kid. Then again, she did live at Xavier's where just about anything seemed to happen and a lot of crazy things and powers were there so she looked at him thoughtfully, looking to where he pointed then to the rabbit.
"So is he a spirit or an astral projection of some kind?" There was genuine curiosity in Amethyst's voice. She wasn't trying to make fun of Luke and Renard in any shape or form, she just wondered if that might explain some things since astral projection was possible, even some of the teachers could do that like Jean and Emma Frost and she heard of a few visitors and students could too. It might be the same for Luke which could explain his inhabiting the rabbit and why she couldn't see him.

What was Luke? Renard could only shrug his shoulders as he sat there. Luke himself wasn't sure on what he was now. He could go through things now and he had powers. IT was all so confusing to him. Plus he spent who knows how many years asleep.
"I don't know." Renard said. "Luke himself isn't even sure. What about you? Besides the dome."
Fair question no?

"I see, just was curious." Amethyst said with a nod. His own question though was fair enough, causing her to smile a bit, "Well, I'm a mutant like I said. Just a demonic one of sorts, was born this way and have just over time discovered powers it's given me as I got older." She told him before she glanced at the silver dome above them. "As for the dome, it's part of a power I have called Lunar manipulation or a fancy way of saying I can manipulate energy from the moon." She explained to him. Though as a whole Amethyst wasn't quite sure if her physical mutation was just that or she belonged to a true race of beings, ones that existed somewhere and the X-men just weren't aware of it. Or they just weren't telling her.

"Okay." Renard answered.
Renard was interested in what Amethyst was telling him and it was clearly showing. There were so many possibilities, out there and it had him curious just what could be.
"Neat." Renard replied. "So what..what are you doing out there?"

"Well I was out here in hopes to have a break from school, even in a mutant school you need a real once in a while. But I didn't think it would start pouring rain so suddenly like this so I came to the park in hopes of refuge then I saw you by chance so here we are now." Amethyst told him, giving the rain a look of disdain but of course not like it would react to it. There was no way to stop this weather like her teacher Storm or other weather controlling mutants or a way to keep the rain from hitting them. Problem was she couldn't keep the dome going forever either, her lunar energy only had so much time before it would go out during the day so she would have to stop maintaining the dome after a while which would be soon. "Renard, how about we find some better cover? I think there might be a gazebo or something like that close by that could cover all three of us better since I can't keep this dome maintained for much longer." She suggested to him, glancing towards the boy and where he had indicated where the spirit of Luke was.
