Week and a half had gone by since Lance had left the mansion, knowing he had left on a rather bad time when Magneto and his own student had been there. Though it did concern Lance to what might happen with his now former team at the same time he was worrying of compromising any missions they end taking if he stayed there, knowing he had already nearly compromised some of his training sessions and classes. It pained him to have to have left but he felt it was for the best and hadn't told the Professor either for a reason, never having told him either of his past.
By now Lance had found himself in his old rundown neighborhood, several people eyeing him with hostility and recognition. His family had once been prominent criminals in this sector of the city after all but he ignore the looks, ignored the reactions, ones he had been familiar with and even now as being known as a 'good guy' or turn coat basically it no longer bothered him. Lance merely walked through the place, having falling into a habit of slipping into a pawn shop or easily breaking into a shop or two that was closed and stealing but not getting caught and now he had arrived to his old neighborhood because he had a destination in mind: the local cemetary. It was no doubt where his now deceased family was buried after the incident of his powers manifesting, and at the age of sixteen which was a common age range for many mutants to gain their powers.
After several minutes of walking he finally saw the place, it was pretty run down and unkept but there were some handful of graves and he stepped throat the creaking metal gates and making his way across the broken concrete paths. His eyes wandered over each tombstone, looking over each name carefully until finally he came across those with "Bond" carved into them along with their first names. It caused him to pause, counting them and nodding as if to confirm they were all there making him sigh softly and stare at the tombstones for a long time, his mind running over that day. And it wasn't long before he fell to one knee and clenched his fists, looking down at the graves of his deceased family due to his own powers. Tears were threatening to leave his eyes but Lance forced them back and he quickly blinked his eyes as he tried to not allow his emotions get the better of him, "I'm so sorry. If I hadn't been such a doubtful fool none of this would of happened." He muttered, more of an apology towards their spirits.
But that was when he heard the sound of footsteps on the gravel behind him, making Lance freeze up and lift his head for a moment to listen. And the only words that came out of his mouth was, "Who's there?" Before he turned to look.

The others told her to leave it be but Kitty could not take it anymore, Lance had been gone long enough and on top of that Sarah ran away a few days after he left. Things at the school where crazy, the students where worried sick and she was to and was showing. So using some tech she had made she had started to track Lance. she had to bring him back and tell him about Sarah, At this point it would take Lance to get her to come back. It had seemed like forever till she started to pick up on Lance, and she followed the trail right to him. When it lead to a grave sight she frowned a little why did he have to be in a place like this? If she had to guess some of his family was where.. Though she had no clue of his past as Lance never spoke of his past to anyone.. Kitty then looked up and saw him, findly she had found him.. She then started to walk over to him when he seemed to notice that someone was there Kitty balled her fist as soon as he turned around Kitty wounded up and punched him in the cheek as hard as she could. Just like Logan taught her. And while he was still dazed from the pouch Kitty then used her powers to make Lance sink half way into the ground. She glared at him tears forming in her eyes a mix of anger and relief on her face. "Lance you better have a dam good reason for leaving and worrying everyone to death!! " Kitty hissed a she looked down at Lance.

Once Lance had turned and realized who it was he was actually quick shocked, "Kitty when...oof!"A grunt escaped him when she punched him rather hard, making the man quite dazed and unsure of what to say to the sudden hit. Although, he probably deserved it after just leaving like that and he was unaware of what his leaving had caused. Though he barely had recovered enough that he realized what Kitty was doing next and struggled in the ground, "Kitty!" He said angrily back, all of a sudden forgetting his shocked state of that she had gone to great lengths to even follow him out to this side of town.
"Okay I admit I deserve that right hook but isn't phasing me halfway into the ground a little much?"He said with annoyance before sighing, "And I left because I...have some demons I need to work out. It's interfering as it is with my classes and it nearly costed my training session with the New Mutants, even if Sarah forgave me it worried me that it could be worse next time." Lance told her straight out, his eyes briefly shifting towards the streets, once again going into a sense of high alert since this wasn't the best neighborhood. Though luckily Kitty was pretty good at fighting and could defend herself, that much he knew but that didn't mean she wouldn't be keeping watch.

Kitty stayed silent as Lance spoke though she just grew even more angry, it took all her will power not to pouch Lance again. Lance is such a idiot... Did he not trust the X-men enough to ask for their help? That alone was like a slap to the face, Kitty fought back angry tears as she stared down at Lance," You idiot... If you would have asked we would have helped you, If you would just tell us about your demons we would help you through them! Are you saying you don't trust us Lance?? And here I thought we where family! Or is that just a lie?" Kitty said a she fell silent again to let those words sink in. " As for the students that are tougher then you give them credit for. So what you had one bad training session they will just get back up again and try even harder. Have more faith in them Lance they will surprise you. And... I have something to tell you about Sarah...." Kitty said as she looked off to the side and to the ground as she waited for Lance's reply.

Lance looked away then, trying not to let Kitty's own tears get to him as he was still on the verge of letting out those tears that nearly escaped before she got there. "Of course I trust you and the others Kitty, I just was ashamed of what I've done in the past. Then again, some of us are, especially when it came to our powers. I've been afraid to let those demons come to haunt me I tried to bury them rather than seek help from the only other family I've had." Lance told her, his tone no longer being one of annoyance but of regret but he knew there was really no going back on his decision already as he found his gaze falling on his family's graves which made him visibly cringe before he looked towards her once more.
"I never said I didn't trust them Kitty, and I know they'll get stronger. That's what I was proud of, but they don't need a teacher that's likely going to cause them more harm than good. Seeing them strive to get stronger just further made me realize there are some things I never overcame even after I came to the mansion and I'm afraid to hold them back because of that."He explained to her better before her suddenly was more attentive. What happened to Sarah? Had she gone after Magneto, gotten hurt? Was she devastated? "What about her?"He asked her seriously.

Kitty stayed silent again as Lance spoke, well she knew she would be ether on point or way off.. But all that mattered she got Lance to talk and hopefully thinking as well. When he asked about Sarah, Kitty looked at him again. " Your students need you more then you think... As for Sarah she ran away form the school a few days after you left. She got in trouble with Emma and was put in detention and was clear that enraged her.. But none of us thought she would run away.. She is not back at her Mother's house or at the Avengers... Lance I think you may be the only one who can bring her back. She really looked up to you are all.. the look in her eyes when you left.. It was so heartbreaking.." Kitty said softly no more anger in her voice, in fact it looked like she was going to break down crying any minute.

"Trust me, I'm far from being someone to look up to Kitty,"Despite what Lance said though there was definitely shock and concern in his voice yet again, this time worried for what could happen to the young ice user. He was the one to personally recruit Sarah to the school, had become close to her and had even personally picked her into his squad after some talking with the Professor. To hear she left certainly stunned him but also brought a big slap in the face. Now it left him wondering if he really had made the worse decision he could ever make and left everything he cared for behind all because he was scared of screwing up when he didn't believe in himself. Now the problem was where could they even begin looking?
"Kitty get me out of the ground for starters."Lance finally spoke again, his eyes looking past her suddenly, his attention now caught by a rather unfriendly group hanging nearby. Their eyes were set on Lance and Kitty and his heart was racing as he recognized the gang all too well; this gang was what still remained of the one his family had been meant to handle those few years back. It seemed unfinished business had come back to him as well "And Pryde you may have to be rather quick. Once we're done here we'll figure out what to do to find Sarah."

" Well someone thinks you are." Kitty shot back putting her hands on her his frowning down at the man. Geez why did he have to be to stubborn??? She just hoped this would be a lesson for Lance in the long run. Though when he started to asked to be let go Kitty crossed her arms as she was half thinking just to leave him there. For a little longer anyway. But then she heard foot steps and voices, Kitty looked around to more people and they did not look friendly. Kitty gave a slow nod as she placed her hands on Lance's shoulders pulling him out of the ground. " Looks like we will have to fight our way out of this..." Kitty said as she did not like the look in those people's eyes.

"Yea I realized that," Lance said as he finally stood on his own two feet when he was released from the ground. Standing beside Kitty Lance now had a serious look in his eyes as the gang moved closer and seemed to have murderous looks in their eyes, "Well,well if it isn't one of the infamous Bonds. You got some nerve coming back here Lance, especially after what you did when your powers came in."One of them sneered making Lance actually flinch slightly at the mention of it. "What happened back then was an accident, you can't always control what happens at puberty. Powers are no different for mutants like us."He told the group, indicating himself and Kitty as the men merely laughed as they seemed to flash some weapons which made Lance immediately react before the men could.
All of it was by his natural instinct, his old habits of his old life before he joined the school and became an X-man. "No!"Lunging forward he slammed his entire body into the first man, causing him to fall into a few of his buddies while drawing a pocket knife he always had on himself and flipping it open with old practice and immediately stabbing one man that came at him without thinking.

Kitty got into a fighting stance as the men got closer, she listened as they spoke as she started to learn a little more about Lance. So something happened when he got his powers.. Well this was not the time try to ask what happened. when the thugs drew weapons she did not flitch. But before she could do anything Lance tackled the nearest man to the ground and ended up stabbing one of them. "L-Lance!!" Kitty cried out in shock. Though she could not stay shocked for long, She then phased into the ground and popped up from behind one of the men and kicked the place where the sun don't shine. The main cried out in pain falling to the ground. She then kicked him again for good measure before phasing into the ground once more. The man started to notice this and started to panic as they had no idea where Kitty would pop up next.

Lance for now didn't answer Kitty, knowing his actions weren't quite what he had shown before in front of her and others he now knew. But it had been a reflex that hit immediately and he reacted on a dime, but he knew he'd have some explaining to do later for it. Quickly drawing back as he drew he knife once more the young man eyed the rest of the men there as they were beginning to panic and realize Lance hadn't been lying. "Warned you idiots, not my fault you don't learn." He said as his eyes glowed indigo and a fiery aura showed around him as he channeled psionic energy towards them and attacked their minds, sending a burning sensation that caused them to yell out. "Any time you want to attack Kitty."

Wow Lance is really not messing around.. Though Kitty was unsure if she liked this side of Lance... But then again everyone has a darker side. Some just hide it better then others. Kitty stayed hidden as Lance attacked and used his powers to hurt the thugs. When he called out for her to attack, she phased out of the ground and with swift movements did knock out hits on the thugs and watched as they fell to the ground. Kitty looked over at Lance giving a small nod. Though she was unsure if they had gotten them all.

Stopping his attack on the thugs he saw they made no attempt to get up, if they weren't knocked out from his attack or Kitty's. "Let's get going no telling who else might come around with all the commotion and trust me, this isn't the best place to be caught up in a mess." Lance said as he turned away from the thugs and quickly looked around before moving down a side street as he did begin to faintly hear some approaching people figuring it was some wondering what was going on. Around there he was aware the police weren't really welcomed and were rarely called and if there were...well he wasn't wanting to run into them again any time soon after his beating in recent months.
Though as he walked Lance wiped away the blood on his pocket knife and flipped it closed before putting it away. Glancing back slightly he knew there was a lot he'd have he would be telling Kitty, "I'm sorry about what you saw back there Kitty, I know it's not a side I've shown before. It was by reflex and a habit that kind of just hit when they showed their weapons, something that's still ingrained in me and technically I should have been in jail years ago."

Kitty nodded when Lance said it was best to get out of here as fast as they could. She followed after him making sure look around them just in case someone tries to jump them. Kitty watched as Lance wiped off his knife though said nothing. But she had wished he had not stabbed those men.. It was not going to look good for the X-men... When Lance started to speak again she looked up at him and just gave a small sigh. "I;m not going to say its fine Lance because its not... But a lot of people do have dark pasts but its up to that person to overcome it... And I believe that you will you just have to try ok? " Kitty said in hopes of trying to get through to Lance. He is a fellow teammate no matter what he has done so she would like to see him over come his demons and become a better person for it. "Anyway lets head back to the school you know who is trying to track Sarah down."" Kitty said as she walked next to Lance.

"I don't expect you to say it's fine Kitty, I know it's not and it never will be. My past is something I have been trying to overcome since I came to the manor when I was in my teens, something I thought I could push past." Lance admitted to her as they walked, occasionally pausing when he heard a sound but continued when it turned out to be nothing. Though the two eventually found themselves leaving the rundown part of New York as Lance reflected for a bit sighed softly. "The day I joined the X-men was like the first step I felt I was taking to redeem everything I have done in the past but when my demons began to catch up with me it became clear there are some things I haven't gotten past. Maybe the answers I seek to those unanswered questions lie back at the manor."He said to her thoughtfully.
