Facing the demons Inside(X-men/Open)

"That's easier said then done Kitty," Lance told her, still finding it hard to open up to the others about his past and who he used to be. Those days still haunted him from time to time before but to catch up to him so quickly obviously had shaken him enough to leave now it might be the only thing that would drive him to do anything to help the X-men and the students. It likely was his only answers to change. Though sometimes not everyone could get past those time sin their lives and Lance just hoped he wasn't one of those people.

But once he heard Kitty's last words he quickly snapped out of it, "Right!"He quickly hurried after her, wondering if Sarah was alright and how his squad was handling things. By now though he was certain they were disappointed and broken down by the sudden loss of not just their teacher and squad leader but also a teammate.

Lance was somewhat glad for the silence as they ran, easily keeping up with kitty with his longer strides. But his mind was still whirling with flashbacks of his past and what he could do to try and help Sarah comeback to the school, if she ever would after he had left before. It still pained him to have left in the first place and he had even cried silently from time to time those two and half weeks but he tried to never allow himself to turn back now. He had been convinced his leaving had been for the best when it had in fact seemed to been for the worse.

But when they finally arrived to the school and stepped through the gates Lance was surprised to see Taji running towards them. She really had changed in such a short time and he could figure Horus would be proud of that though it was right now a fleeting thought as Taji hugged him and actually hugging her back. "It's good to see you again, Taji."

"We'll find her Taji, one way or another we'll get her back." Lance assured the young girl before he watched her leave managing a faint smile before he followed them inside and glanced towards Kitty. He then recalled when she mentioned the Professor was looking for Sarah which meant they were possibly heading to Cerebro, a room he had actually only been in once. "Let's go see the Professor Kitty, sure he might have found something by now." He said, or least he was hoping. Any lead would be welcoming but he just hoped it wouldn't mean anything bad had happened to Sarah.

Lance followed Kitty through the several flights of stairs and elevators they had to go through, his mind dreading the thought of what they might hear from the Professor. He was also worried what the headmaster might say towards him on the matter of leaving before but finally they reached Cerebro and those scenarios just seemed to go blank in his mind. Taking a deep breathe and trying to calm himself the young man waited as Kitty opened the doors and followed her inside, listening as she asked about Sarah which he waited to hear about. "Same to you, Professor."He said, still sounding worried but concern began to show more for Sarah now as he heard the yes and no part.

It was then Xavier told him what went on and Lance clenched his fist with deep concern until her heard the full story, relaxing a bit. "She has been learning quickly since she got here, so guess it doesn't surprise me." He admitted with a faint smile and a look of relief and pride. "But that means she could be anywhere..."Trailing off it took Lance a moment to think as he looked towards the screen before speaking, "Professor, do you know where specifically she was last? It might help shorten our search range."

"Virginia huh, it's six hours from here driving but taking one of the jets would probably draw quite a bit of attention." Lance said as he waited patiently and thought for a moment knowing he didn't exactly own a car. But taking one of the jets would be far faster so they'd have to take the risk and he simply nodded to himself, "Professor, if it's all the same to you I'll take the small jet we have, don't think taking the Blackbird would be necessary." He said before glancing at Kitty. "There's enough room for a few of us to go if your planning to go too Kitty."
