Francis couldn't believe what was going on, one minute he had been in the Avengers tower and then next they weren't anymore. Neila wasn't there, she vanished in the blink of an eye! "Neila! Neila! Where the heck are we?" He asked as his vision was a bit blurry from the teleportation that they had taken. As he rubbed his eyes a bit his brown eyes looked up seeing the area around them. There was cheering. Cheering? Why were people cheering? As he looked around he realized what it was all about. It seemed they were not in the Avengers Building after all. Instead they were in some sort of coliseum or stadium. Numerous people filled the stadium of all kinds of species that were not from earth were cheering for excitement of some sort of game. That involved them.
There was a massive ring down below that seemed to be covered in a dirt floor as they stood on one side of the fighting ring. To many of the human sports, this would have been something like a gladiator's duel. But they weren't in ancient Rome at all. These creatures were not from Earth either. So that meant that they weren't in Earth. Francis found his heart pounding in his chest as he realized what was going on. They were screwed, big time. Then a voice boomed through the stadium giving him most of the answers that he was looking for.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, in this corner we have the famous Hawkeye and Street Rat, and in this one we have one of our favorites tonight in a fight to the death. We'll see if these puny humans will be able to show their strength or go home and be shunned as losers for their planet. Let's see if they really are the supposed evolving race." A voice called out from one of the big screens that was up in the stadium so they could see. On one of the far corners a nasty looking alien came out of the cage as the bars lifted as it let out a sharp screech. It looked like it was about ready to pounce on them at any minute.
"Did he just say fight to the death?" Francis said remembering that his own leg had just been on the verge of healing a few days ago. The last thing he wanted was to be in another kind of scramble where he was hurt. "Looks like we don't have much of a choice in this. I do know one thing someone's going to notice that we're missing in the middle of the tower soon. We just have to give it enough time for them." Francis said as he took out his bow and as well as one of the arrows that he had back in his case. So this meant that he'd need everything with him in order to stay a live. All of the training that his father and the other Avengers seemed like he had to come to this moment. Well he had been in worst situations before right?

Neila had no idea what was going on, het head was spinning and she felt like she was going to be sick. Though she knew she was no longer in the Avengers tower. As she started to recover her eye sight was coming back and she could hear Francis calling out her name and freaking out. Neila then slowly stood up using a wall to support her. She heard cheering just where the hell where they? When her vision cleared she did not liked what she saw. It was a battle arena and the people in the crowed where not human.. " Oh crap...."" she said as she went over to Francis. That is when a voice over head started to speak Neila rasied a eyebrow. " What famous? how could this idiot think I'm famous??" Neila asked rather annoyed. Though when he said fight to the death and relased a alien monster Neila backed up as she stared at the thing. "I feel like I'm on the syfy channel geeze!" She said as she then started to fire up. "yep we don't have a choice... if I can get my hands in the son of a bitch who did this!!"" Neila said in a angry tone. "Francis use your arrows on its eyes blind it and I will take care of the rest!" Neila said as she ran forward shooting flames at the monster. Was she scared yes was she gonna let it show? hell no.

"Well he knows the Avengers are famous, maybe he got us confused on which one is on the Avengers? But I'm on it, Neila. Just be careful." Francis said knowing he probably didn't have to worry but he still did. He already lost his friend Hope after the Phoenix Force event but now he had to make sure that she was safe too. But he did what she asked for as Francis took out one of his blinding arrows, he put it in his bow and released at least two of them near the monster as it let up a light flash confusing the monster as it couldn't see as it let out a loud screech again.
"There, now you have your chance." Francis said as he reached back to where his arrows were in his case to take out another arrow. It seemed like the two had gotten along so well since their first encounter. The two weren't arguing back and forth like they had the first few times they had met. It was hard to believe that was so long ago now. Even Francis had to admit that he was afraid as it showed a bit but he did his best to hide it. He had been through so much with the Avengers this certainly couldn't be the end. Not in a long shot.

Well that was not want she was wanting... She was hoping he would shoot its eyes out... But she would take what she could. Soon Neila's body was engulfed in flames as she rushed at the alien monster. "fried monster anyone!?"" she said as she then let go a powerful fire blast. Hitting the monster as she tried to burn it to death. As this was a fight to the death as she was not going to die here while this sick bastard played games with them. And soon the monster caught fire as its body become one huge flame ball. Neila then jumped back as she watched the monster burn. Feeling no regret as it was her and Francis's lives at stake. " It may be on fire but it can still attack be ready!"" Neila said as she was ready to attack once more. Was she showing her darker side. did she care? No when on the streets was like a battle of life and death anyway.. She just hoped Francis would pick up his game.. If not they where both in trouble.

This was certainly a side that Francis had not seen before in the girl that he had considered as his girlfriend. It was clear that he had to start showing everything that the Avengers had taught him from such a young age. This time he took out three arrows as he sent them off in the direction of the creature as it seemed to be more concerned about putting out the fire. And while he was doing that he took out at least two more arrows before sending them off all in a row. It had taken some time for Francis to even master the ability to fire multiple arrows at once. "Hopefully this should keep it busy also." Francis said as he was working harder. He began to grab the other arrows in his case seeing that he'd need more of them soon of course there was the problem once he ran out of arrows. He hoped that didn't happen any time soon.

Ugh flames and arrows where not going to be enough! Neila frowned as she thought... Neila then reached down pulling up her pants she removed a rather long knife she had tied to her leg. One of the rules of living on the streets, always have a knife with you. In her case if someone got smart enough to get her wet, " Cover me! I;m going in!" Neila said as she then rushed in at the alien who was still trying to put the fire out. Neila ran at full speed and at the right time jumped onto the alien monster once on its neck she then started to stab its head as deeply as she could. Was it bloody? yes, did she care at the moment? No.

Francis was a bit surprised at the levels that she was going. He knew he didn't have to worry about her now since she seemed to be handling herself just fine in this battle. None the less, they had to end it soon before things got out of hand. Or one of them got injured. "Alright Neila." Francis said as he took out three arrows this time as he sent them flying towards the monster and hit it almost perfectly with the explosives. Blood started to fly everywhere as the monster finally fell from constant bombardment. It seemed like it had enough as it collapsed with Neila on it. There was silence in the crowd for some time until they let out a roar of cheering for the two others that they had held captive. "Looks like we id it." He said looking back at Neila. Well she had done most of it anyways.

When the beast fell Neila sat on it for a few minutes as she caught her breath, still breathing heavily Neila then jumped off the ether dead or dying alien. She looked at it with cold uncaring eyes. Not regretting what she had just done, It was ether it or her and Francis. And she sure as hell was not going to let ether of them die in this place. When the crowed was silent Neila said nothing and just glared at all them, And even when they did start to cheer she just glared at them refusing to put on more of a show for these monsters. She then looked at Francis and gave a nod. " Yeah looks like we did... But who knows what they will throw at is next.... I have a feeling this is just level one..."" Neila said as she was sure the worst has yet to come.

"Yeah I imagine it's like a video game. Each level will be harder than the next." Francis said with a soft nod. They couldn't rest. Not now any ways. It wasn't long before the man's face appeared again on the main screen that was keeping the updates of the constant battles that were going on. "Congrats you humans for passing round one. As you imagine that was only the beginning. Our next one is going to be a lot more...frightening we should say." Mojo said as his face disappeared from the screen as soon as he arrived.
"Frightening." Francis repeated as he kicked the dirt that was on the battle field. While they waited the took the creature away that they had just defeated by two robots as a growl could be heard nearby from one of the gates that was held down in the arena. Two yellow eyes glared back at them as an enormous head appeared out of the cage. it didn't look like an alien but more like a dragon from medieval times. It towered over the two as it let out a loud roar that seemed to shake the building. Thogh its own wings were chained down making flight almost impossible. It's entire body was coated in thick black scales and it seemed to have two piercing yellow eyes. "Neila I think we're going to need a lot more fire power for level two." Francis said stunned.

Neila made a "tch" sound as Mojo spoke. though when she heard the roars of the thing they where fighting next her eyes did grow wide a little. No way it can't be... Crap it was!! When the Dragon was released Neila took a few steps back, she studied the dragon looking at its wings. A idea then clicked into her head. What if... they may have just made a big mistake.. " hey dragon!! Sorry I don't know your name but if you understand me we are not your enemies! We are not the ones who caught you and disgraced you like this! They are! " Neila shouted as she pointed to the crowed. " If you wish to get back at them I can free your wings! But if you attack us we will be forced to try and kill you. What is a better way to die, getting back at the ones who did this to you and gave a greater chance at being free?? Or a die a pointless death as a side show? " Neila asked and hoped the dragon would understand. as she had heard they where smart beings. But if it did not listen well they where going to have one hell of a fight on their hands.

The dragon seemed hesitant at first as it looked down at the two humans with its yellow eyes. But it was silent as if trying to decide what to do. These humans had not hurt them but this Mojo had. "Neila if it says yes to breaking free, I'll get the chains on the right and you can get the others on the other side." Finally after what seemed like forever the dragon decided to turn its head to where Mojo and the others were watching the event. It let out a burst of fire as it began to take a flame breath towards the part of the building to catch it on fire. "I think that's a yes, Neila. We need to get to the chains now." Francis said as he began to head towards the side of the chains that were holding the right wings down. He was careful not to get injured by the large spikes on his wings. This was going to be an interesting last stand.

Neila looked the dragon square in eyes as she waited for its answer. And ready to start attacking of the dragon decided to attack them. And after what seemed like forever the dragon started to blast fire at the crowed, Neila smiled and without having needed to be told what to do Neila Ran over to the dragon and started to work on the chains on its wings. She used her fire powers to heat the chains up still they where weak, knowing the heat would not harm the dragon as dragons are used to such high degrees. " Ok now!! the chains are weak enough!"" Neila called out to the dragon.

Once Francis managed to get his side pretty much free all the dragon had to do now was use its strength. And with several pulls and tugs the dragon managed to break free as the chains made a loud cracking noise as the dragon soared higher to get a better look at where Mojo was sitting in the stadium. With one more powerful breath the dragon released it and sent the flames scorching the place before them with incredible heat as the metal started to melt. Francis looked back at Neila as another idea formed in his head, "Heay Neila you know we could escape on that dragon and get out of here. It's got wings and I imagine it can fly for some time before getting tired." Francis said though he wasn't entirely sure where they were in the world. But it had to be somewhere right? It wasn't like they had just teleported off the face of the Earth.

Wow that was a sight to see, Neila smiled as she watched the dragon go on a rampage and attack. If only she had that kind of fire power.. Though she was soon taken from her thoughts when Francis spoke, she nodded as she looked back up at the amazing dragon, "Hey!! When your done how about giving us a ride if you can? We can get out of here together!" Neila cried out to the dragon over the sounds of aliens running and screaming for their lives and the sound of burning fire. Though Neila felt like this was to easy... "Francis keep your guard up Mojo could still attack us. As we are not out of the woods yet.." " Neila said as she looked around for any sign of Mojo or his goons.

It was certainly impressive to see how much power a dragon could have. Well it was an alien dragon right? The creature was massive and no wonder Mojo had wanted to keep it. That was going to be one heck of a fight they'd have to put up with the dragon. Once it was done torching the area where Mojo was the metal pieces that were holding up that part of the stadium were clearly torched and burned badly. It wouldn't be long before the pieces of metal fell apart. Once the dragon heard Neila it looked back at her and Francis as it was done it landed back on the ground to an easier position so the two could climb up on them. Francis still had his bow out just incase he needed it but he began to climb on holding onto the tough scales. "You don't need to tell me twice. I'm sure that fire burst was a bit of a surprise though." Francis agreed as he waited for her to get on. "So far though it looks like he's just trying to regroup."
