The last time he had been in New York it hadn't exactly been the greatest of meetings, though now his wound had healed pretty much all the way now he was starting to doubt his trust towards his father again. he said he wanted to change. But so far Pietro hadn't even seen that in him as the old man still had his anger and he was still with the brotherhood. If he wanted to change in Pietro's opinion, he would have given up the Brotherhood long ago. He already hurt Tony with the team and for that he wanted to go so badly to punch his father in the face as hard as he could with his knuckles. But he knew going to Genosha uninvited was going to be uneasy for him and as well as the Avengers. When Pietro was a part of the Brotherhood he could have easily gone to Genosha and done whatever he wanted. Now he was on a tide it seemed and things were a lot more complicated.
For some reason he hadn't exactly been up to beat for really anything-even running for that matte since he had been down with all the things that were going on. He hadn't seen Carol since his father had been spotted at the X-Mansion and that seemed like it happened ages ago. He wondered what Carol was up to but he figured she might just be busy with school. Though he had never gone to school for very long himself he understood that it was important to follow up with your education. If he had kids he'd probably make them go and learn once they were old enough. "Are things going to get any worse before they get good?" He asked with a sigh as he leaned against one of the trees in central park as he watched some of the humans walk by. Some where wary of his presence there in being a mutant and all but Pietro ignored them. That was typical treatment for being so different. But he was a hero now and things had changed severely since then.
Pietro was wearing typical street clothing at this point. He didn't really see a reason to run around in his costume just yet. It seemed kind of pointless in his opinion. So baggy pants and a long shirt it was then. And as well as one of his favorite hoodies that he had with him. Pietro did look like a bit of a different person in casual clothing, he could hide a bit easier but still he felt different in a crowd of humans. Maybe that's because his father's teachings were still with him in the back of his mind. No matter how hard he tried to resent them they were still there.

Pietro might have been surprised to know he wasn't the only familiar mutant around. Horus hadn't really left the mansion much these days, mostly having been looking out for the young girl Taji. She had in a sense become like a younger sister to him and he felt a kinship to her since they met, so he had been doing his best to help her through her rough times right now. So far, she seemed to have been improving quickly with the help of Lance and his squad and the school as a while. Confident now that the young girl would be alright now he had left the school for a little while to get some time to himself, having come to Central Park for that since it was one of his favorite places.
For now he had been strolling through the park for a few hours now, ignoring the obvious gawking and glares he got as he went. Horus was relatively use to them and it was right now the last thing on his mind as many other things over the past several days were coming and going in his thoughts. Most of all he was still wondering what he should do. Should he rejoin the X-men and become part of the team as he had thought of before? Or should he just remain an ally to them and the Avengers? This was what filled his thoughts once again as it did when he was young and he had hoped a walk would help clear those thoughts but it only gave him time to ponder the matters more. So with a soft sigh he tilted his head back slightly as he walked, looking through his usual sight of different colors and never really knowing what to do.
That was when he heard a familiar voice and paused, looking around a bit until he saw the sight of his half brother. "Well, well, if it isn't the Avenger who couldn't sit still for three seconds." Horus said aloud in a teasing tone, knowing Pietro would hear him and know he was playing. But he could see quite clearly something was bothering his brother as he came over to the speedster, "Dad's arrival still bothering you?"

As Pietro looked up he saw a familiar face before he knew it. He thought he was out in central Park alone but it was clear that wasn't the case. Central Park was known to be a heavy attraction for the people and people outside of New York. If they couldn't get a dangerous fight to happen in the city this was bound to be the place for it. It was open and less people to worry about except for hurting some trees by accident. "Hello Horus." He said trying to bring a soft smile it didn't seem as easy at first but he was no doubt glad that he saw his brother there. It sounded weird when he said it the last few times, he knew only Wanda and Polaris as his sisters, he didn't know until a few months ago that he had a new relative.
He nodded back to Horus when Magneto had been mentioned. He wondered if he should tell Horus the news on how Tony had been nearly beaten to death by one of the Brotherhood. If they were trying for the leaders of the Avengers, who would say they would try to do something far bolder than that and attempt to do a take over? With the media and all the news would spread but Tony had tried to keep it quiet without making the citizens worry. But he couldn't help that was all the information that Tony was trying to hide. He was a man of secrets yes, but sometimes Pietro wondered if he knew far more than he had given to them after he returned back with Yuki. "Horus I am pretty upset over our dad's appearance. There's been more bad news and I'm not so sure you heard about it, we tried to keep it under the radar so to speak." Pietro said doing his best not to run his mouth off this time like he had done in the past. This information was important after all.
"One of the strong members of the Brotherhood-Exodus is his name attacked Tony and almost left him for dead. If you ask me the Brotherhood are really getting bold. I want to go to Genosha so bad and punch my father in the face for retaliation. But I shouldn't do it, it'll only tighten the tension between us." Pietro said not entirely sure what to do at this point. The urge was strong in his head on wanting to go to Genosha badly but he knew it'd only enrage his father like before. It'd cause so many problems it was like another storm was brewing. Oh how the cons weighed against him in this fight.

Something definitely was wrong. Horus had rarely known Pietro to not smile or at least crack a joke, or maybe retaliate with a joke of his own somehow so this was quite worrying for the draconic mutant as he came beside the speedster. As much as he wanted to help the young man didn't know what was bothering his brother the most until he began to explain what was really upsetting him. "No I hear about what happened to Stark, which I'll be honest I'm shocked he's even alive after hearing how bad his condition was Pietro. The man was lucky that arch reactor in his chest didn't go out or stop working, so he's quite a lucky man." He said with a nod, having heard the news since it spread like wild fire throughout the mansion.
Though he couldn't agree more with his older brother, knowing the Brotherhood were getting bolder and bolder each time not to mention getting stronger. "Not only are they getting bolder they're getting stronger, growing in number again. You saw that news reports and not to mention that kid that was with Magneto. Obviously they are here to stay again after fourteen, fifteen years of not being around." He said with a nod, thinking back to the event when Magneto came to the mansion to pay his respects and had the young kid with him, and he could have sworn he saw something on the media of Tony facing the same kid. "Fact of the matter is our generation and the next generation are getting ready to come back to the lime light, which means we'll be clashing again as the old days."Horus told him, knowing Pietro might be well aware of this.
Though as he thought of what Pietro said next a thought occurred to Horus, but it would be a rather risky one. "You might not be able to go to Genosha without some problems hanging on your shoulders Pietro, but maybe I can go. Mean when you look at it I'm not really on anyone's team the only reason I remain at the mansion is because I'm looking after that girl called Taji, a reason I'll explain to you later. Maybe I can try getting close to the team and serve as a mole or spy, something like that."He suggested.

"It's clear our father has been after very strong members of the Brotherhood I wouldn't be surprised if he was going to find Sabertooth, Blob, or even Toad again to see if they're interested in rejoining. Knowing them they wouldn't hesitate to say yes." Pietro said clearly just as worried as Horus was when he mentioned just how strong the Brotherhood was, maybe it was time they brought out the young Avengers of their own and gave a taste to them of what the superhero business was like. He had seen many of them in the classes that he was taking and was already impressed with most of them. Maybe it was time to no longer hide or protect them in the dark and let them show that they were ready for the Brotherhood as well.
Though the next suggestion startled him even more, Pietro was extremely protective of Wanda since they had been little kids and Horus was no different now. He didn't want Horus to get in trouble, not to mention after looking up some information on Exodus he knew that they were going to risk a lot for sending someone in undercover. Exodus could read unprotected minds with his abilities. So they had to be extremely careful. He wondered if Horus was ready for those kinds of threats that came his way. "Normally I'd say no Horus. I'm very protective with Wanda after what happened in our past, we always had to run. But Horus I do want you to be safe and if there are any problems you need to contact the Avengers right away or even the X-Men. Magneto has arsenal and isn't exactly stupid as you have learned." Pietro said as he looked back at his brother showing his concern as well towards him. It was a crazy idea but the Avengers had done worse, so what was the worst that could happen?

Horus nodded slightly when Pietro mentioned the old members, which he wouldn't be surprised either if they too ended up revealing themselves at some point as well. Though so far they were lucky enough this wasn't the case as they were having enough troubles as it was with the current members. But at Pietro's startled look he knew his suggestion was bound to get that reaction, "Pietro, I make the suggestion because I never really have done anything else to be of use to the teams. I mean yes I've helped against Magneta, helped with the squads, and looked over the mansion for the past weeks but I know I can do much more." Horus told him, looking towards a family that was going by.
A soft sigh escaped him, "I know you're worried brother but I want to do something to be of use to everyone not stand on the sidelines wondering what I could have done. One of these days I am bound to meet my end of a long life but I want to look back and say I did something to help my friends and family." He told him, basically admitting he was tired of feeling like he was really doing nothing. As of now Horus felt like he was becoming a burden to the others and becoming out of practice, like he wasn't really going to ever find his purpose. And sitting around doing nothing wasn't going to do that.

Pietro nodded as he looked back at his younger brother, yes he understood what that was like. He had tried to do so much more when he had been with Wanda. He had accomplished that when he was with the Avengers. Quicksilver had done things that he had not dreamed of while he was with them. They were such a different team compared to the Brotherhood and had so many other team members that weren't all mutants. Some had just been humans like Clint and as well as Tony, sure that had taken some time for Pietro to get used too but the team had variety and hope in order to do something great one day. And they still had it.
"Horus I was in that same spot you're standing in years ago when I had joined the Avengers. It was clear doing things on the Brotherhood for me wouldn't change. I would always be in our father's shadow for constantly showing hatred." Pietro said as he put a hand on his brother's shoulder. "That protectiveness will always be there. But I'll do my best to resent it. If you think you should go, I won't hold you back. But if we do both come across our father's, I wouldn't mind getting a punch or two towards his face one day. He needs it for hurting Tony and others on our team." Pietro said knowing that revenge may not come for awhile. He'd have to sit back and wait, which was one of the least favorite things that the speedster had in his personality. Waiting felt like an eternity for him.

"Then I'm sure you understand my position pretty well Pietro. You know I've been searching the world for a purpose, for really trying to find my place in this world even if it means risking my life. But at least I'd be doing it for the greater good." Horus said to him with a nod, glad that his older half-brother understood what he meant. The draconic mutant knew this wouldn't be an easy mission and knew it could mean his life was at stake. But he had to do something, find some way to give the two teams and advantage if he could even if that meant Brotherhood finding out who he really held loyalty to. He wasn't afraid of them and he would go down fighting before they would even think to end his life. They likely would see him as an enemy anyway since he didn't share their views.
Though a smile came to his face then as Pietro spoke of revenge. "Pietro, I think we can view this as me seeing how our father is for myself. I've never met Magneto in person and maybe this will give me some insight of what you and Wanda once went through." He told him, knowing it was also a slight curiosity to see what Erik Lensherr, his genetic father was like for himself. Again, it would be risky but there were some risks worth taking and this was one of them.

"Yes I do understand. I still worry as any sibling would." Pietro said as he listened to what Horus had to say. It was a dangerous idea that he was going into. But was it going to be worth it? He certainly hoped that he wasn't going to get hurt or harmed in it. Pietro had seen when they fought Magneta how strong Horus was, and how long he could keep a fight going. He had only wished his own fighting ability had not been interrupted by Magneta's constant magnetism abilities he would have been there to help more. Well what's done was done and they didn't need to worry...at least not that much.
Pietro noticed that there was a smile on Horus' face as he nodded, "Yep you'll be able to see how much of a 'bastard' he can be sometimes." he said wondering if the word may have been a bit harsh. Well it was needed in this situation. he hadn't even cared that Ironman had been hurt. Infact he seemed to enjoy it. That nauseating feeling came to his stomach as he thought about it some more remembering on the news how Tony looked so beat up in his suit. It was just not fair. "Between you and me though, some time ago Horus, he had once said to me that he wanted to change. But it's clear he couldn't keep that promise. So I can guarantee you that keeping promises in his book isn't worth listening too. It's one of the reasons why Wanda and I took so long to forgive him. I still think she hasn't entirely forgiven him for everything...I know I haven't."

"Like I said I'm willing to take that risk Pietro, and there is going to be a lot to worry about but that seems the only choice we have." Horus said with a nod, having gotten use to the fact he now had family that did worry for him. Before he really had no one and had been constantly on the run from Sinister or looking out for potential enemies, but now he was beginning to worry less about that. There were others he was concerned for and cared about, people who kept him going now every day and anchored him to one spot instead of wandering the world with no purpose. In fact, maybe he had already found that purpose now.
Smiling he nodded, "It wouldn't surprise me at this point. A man like Magneto usually doesn't change brother."He said to him before glancing towards the time and sighing softly, "But I should be heading back soon to the mansion so I can talk to the X-men about this. Especially since it's getting late."He said to him, seeing late afternoon certainly had come by then.
