Finaly it seemed like forever since Francis could walk naturally again without having to go to some physical therapy to help it again but he was sure in no time at all he'd be able to use it without feeling pain. And that time had come. He stepped into the training room that was lined with metal on each side obviously as a protective barrier. he had put up a request on the text messages where most of the young Avengers would have seen it wondering if they wanted to join him but so far it seemed like no one had been there. He was alright with it just being him and it didn't seem to bother him as five minutes went by and no one seemed to show up. With that he put his bow and case down filled with his arrows that had yet to be used. As he thought about it he recalled one of his past training sessions with Hope Summers and wondered how she had been doing. He really felt a bit empty with her not being around at this point as one of his friends had been gone. He had forgiven Hope for what had happened already and wondered if she had come to terms to herself.
"And here we go." He said as several targets appeared like he was about to use his arrows to hit them since they had the famous bulls eye with them in the middle. However instead of using arrows he had soft rubble balls that he could use in order to throw at the targets. he launched one into the air and it made it perfectly as it hit the target. It was like a game of dodge ball in a way but it was just himself. It seemed like less fun as he was practicing his aiming skills as he only had to rely on his vision and his hands in order to throw the balls. It would get much more complicated in the next couple of rounds. Soon he sent out one ball, another and a third one as they all hit the targets he was aiming for easily and made it look like the training session was nothing.
Francis hadn't been paying attention at all as he allowed the next course to be set up in a few minutes to see if someone was really there. His mind seemed to be in two different places as he was focusing on the course that he had put up and as well as Hope on wondering who she was doing. Though the young kid was busy it was clear in his features that each and every day that passed he looked more and more like his father. And like his father he seemed to be attracted to the redheads that always showed up at the mansion. But there was one girl that already stole his heart. However as his mind was distracted he had not expected something to come his way as a ball was spit out one of the machines where some of the firing equipment should have been in the walls as it hit him and knocked him to the ground. "Ow, I was really not expecting that one." he said rubbing his shoulder as he started to get back up. Now that he had come with terms that he had missed hope being there, it was hard to forget that. Was she really not going to be a part of the Avengers anymore?

It had taken a lot of thinking and a lot of courage to sum up but finally the red head had made her way to the tower, finally coming to terms fully that she couldn't ignore the Avengers any longer. Her talk with James Templar had been the push she needed the most to truly come to terms with her uncertainty before and now there she was. Though she was also there for a promise she would keep to Tony, to visit a certain archer who she heard had been hurt during the fiasco. By now though Hope suspected he might be on his feet, Francis she knew was a quick person to recover with the fact she had trained with him and gone on missions with the blond archer. He had pretty much become her best friend and she knew she'd be doing a disservice to him if she didn't at least visit the tower once in a while.
Though it was Jarvis' recognizing her face and voice that allowed her into the tower since Hope had destroyed the identicard she once had before she had left New York to Alaska those weeks before. And after inquiring about Francis she finally came down to the training room where she heard the sound of something being thrown making her surprised to not hear arrows flying through the air. What was Francis working on then? Stepping into the observation room she could see then he was throwing tennis balls which he was throwing towards some targets likely to test his aim and accuracy which made sense and she couldn't help smiling at seeing her friend again. But the training didn't last long as he was knocked down by one of the firing equipment which Hope had to cover her mouth to stifle her laugh so Francis didn't hear before she looked towards the weapons wrack and moved over to grab some throwing knives, ones she had left there in her haste to leave the tower.
And soon as she stepped out Hope was about to say something until she realized the machines were preparing to fire more of the tennis balls Francis had prepared which meant he wasn't in the clear. Shaking her head the red head held the knives by the blade before throwing four of them across the court and embedding them into the machines, causing them to spark and stop, smoking rising up from the seams and cracks of where the knives had struck. "You know, you might want to be sure to tell the program to pause before you end up pelted away by tennis balls, sure you don't want to have the others making fun of you for getting defeated by some firing equipment archer."

Francis was a bit surprised when he heard a voice in the room he had half expected it to be one of the older adults but it wasn't at all. It was Hope when he looked up to see that it was the redhead. "Alright I'll admit I was a bit distracted at the moment my head was in two places at once and that's not good." Francis said as he got up fully and there was no clear pain from where his foot was. Tony had been right about healing him recovering so fast so he didn't have to worry and so far that had been true. He did seem to be pretty relieved to see her there as she blasted the machine, yes Tony was going to get mad at them but at this point he didn't care. He knew the old hero would get over it soon.
"But it's good to see you again Hope. What have you been up to since I last saw you?" He asked but he was well aware of what had happened to Tony since he came back to the Avengers Tower not that long ago looking exhausted and like he needed a good rest at that point. Though he had one eye on the targeting system it was clear it had its own tricks as it had more targets out for them to take on. "Hang on a sec I won't mess up this time though." Fancis said as he went back to the target temporarily. Francis through four balls pelting each of the targets with ease. If he had been at a carnival playing those types of games it would have been easy for him. "Neila and I had a few run ins and caught up with each other but other than that it's been pretty much normal here." He said wondering if he could truly define what normal meant around here. They were heroes around here. A normal day would be something rare.

Arminius had spent the day walking around the tower. He didn't seen anyone he knew and really, he only knew two people. Tony and Pietro. That was it, he didn't know any of the other souls here. The other students or...kids here were just a mystery to the young teen.
Finding his way to the glass window that looked into the training room, he looked in. There was two people in there, older teenagers most likely. He didn't recognize them but they most likely had been here longer than him. The conversation that the two were having didn't really have his interest since it would be rude to eavesdrop.
Moving away from the glass, he leaned against the wall and let a sigh go. He still wasn't sure why he was here. Sure it provided a good escape and there was a chance of him learning to control his powers, but what else? And on that note....what mentor would possible want to teach him?
Putting his hands together, he slowly moved them apart. The sapphire color in his eyes was replaced by the electric blue and in the palm of his hands, there was a small light blue electric ball. There was a glow from it that could be seen from the window, he wasn't away from it, he was just standing out of sight in the glass. Sitting on the ground, he did his best to keep the electric ball the same size.
(ooc: Thought it be okay to toss Arminius in since he's been coming to the Tower lately. If not then just tell me and I'll delete the post)

"You know we're not suppose to be getting distracted, even if it's something simple like this Francis. I mean come on you could have been blasted to pieces." Hope chided, though there was a slight tease in her voice as she knew there might be a lot on the archer's mind depending on the recent events. But she didn't know what Francis had been through since they last met and she knew he wasn't aware of what she had been doing. Both of them were in the dark and there was a lot to catch up on but she could at least sum it up in short terms. If she could.
Well this was going to be a pain in the butt. "Well aside from teleporting to Alaska after the whole Phoenix fiasco I was approached by the X-men almost a month ago and invited to be trained by Jean Grey herself in possibly learning to control it's power better. I also met with James to talk with him about what happened, about being uncertain of returning to the Avengers since I almost left completely but our little date kinda helped." Hope explained to him, knowing it was the best way she could sum up what had been going on the last month and half. "Of course, I can't say for sure if I'll also become part of the X-men too. If I do, it'll be rather loosely." She said knowing she had in a sense adoptive family among the team. But she hadn't been so keen to approach most of them, Scott Summers most of all for certain reasons and she tried to avoid the likes of Emma Frost. She had heard the woman had bad experiences with the Phoenix herself so the young red head was a little worried.
"Sounds like you've had some eventful times yourself." She chuckled, knowing Neila was pretty hot headed so she was sure the pyrokinetic kept Francis on his toes which she thought was a good thing. But as she was talking with the young archer she noticed a source of electrical blue light from the corner of her eyes making Hope look to the observation window curiously. Someone else was there and much to her surprise it was a mutant, being able to sense them. "Hold on,"She said before she moved over to the door which slid aside and Hope peeked in, looking left and right until she saw Arminius with an electric ball in his hands. "Hello there,"She greeted to the young teen and smiled kindly towards him.

"I know Hope Tony and the others have packed that in my mind pretty hard when I was still trying to learn everything when I was just barely ten years old. I don't know how they had the patience for us back when we could barely use our skills." Francis said as he looked back at Hope when she gave him a bit of a teasing look he realized he made have been a bit hard on himself at that time. Well he had always been like that on occasions when he had been training, it didn't hurt at all to be hard. But there was a fine line when you got too far to being so hard it didn't matter anymore. Francis fell silent as he listened to what she had been through the past couple of weeks since they had not seen each other, it sounded like she had been busy herself. "You certainly sound like you've been busy."
"You could say Neila makes things interesting when she's around. That's for sure." Francis said but he wasn't about to start off with one of their adventures on how Mojo had captured them. They got to ride an alien dragon for crying out loud while they escaped! However his attention turned when he noticed that someone else had been in the room besides the two of them. He did know that Tony was trying to recruit new members to the Young Avengers and as well as the Avengers since they had constant worries about the other villainous teams. Was this perhaps a new member that they had yet to meet just yet. He stopped talking when Hope noticed the other young boy as she went to open the door to see what was going on.
Francis followed after her as he left his arrows and bow still on the floor curious himself, "I think Tony's been busy trying to bring in new members recently. I haven't seen that boy all that often and I know a lot of the students here." Francis said as he didn't recognize Arminius. Maybe the boy liked to keep to himself or didn't really know most of the Avengers yet. There were many young Avengers that were about his age, Hank Jr. was one of them as he was one of the oldest from the bunch since he had been born first from Clint and Barbra Barton. Of course his family marriage wasn't exactly the greatest, he didn't really like talking about that part of his past all that much. It lead him into a depression and he didn't want to fall down that path once more again. "Heay. My name is Francis and this is Hope. Is everything alright?" He asked the young boy seeing how quiet he was by himself.

Arminius didn't expect anyone to take notice of the light given off by the electric ball in his hands. It was really just practice. It was when the door opened that caused him to lose concentration on it and thus it disappeared. The light blue glow to his eyes disappeared as well and he turned his sapphire gaze to Hope.
"H...hi." Arminius greeted Hope nervously as he put his hands together.
He fell silent when Francis appeared and spoke to Hope about not seeing him around before. It was understandable for no one but Tony and Pietro to have seen him. He couldn't be here 24/7 like most of the others were.
"I...I'm Arm...Arminius." Arminius introduced himself. "Everything's fine. S...sorry if I bothered you two."
(ooc: So sorry that this is so late.)

Well that'd make quite a bit of sense since Hope hadn't recalled seeing Arminius either when she was there. He must have been recruited sometime after the incident since Hope had never sensed him before to begin with, and usually she could tell who was and wasn't a mutant there. "It's nice to meet you Arminius and you weren't bothering us at all. In fact, your welcome to join us if you want since there's at least two of us down here you wouldn't have to worry." The red head greeted kindly and made an offer for the young man to join them if he wanted. From the looks of things he had been practicing just now with his powers and Hope couldn't help being curious to what this young boy could do even though she could see herself by copying them.
But that usually took the fun out of getting to know some of her teammates and knowing what they could do. There were times Hope didn't mind just going without using her powers, which was often so she had come to learn to be able to cope as any normal human would by using weapons or combat. Then again she still wasn't normal no matter how often someone might put it. Heck, she didn't know if she'd ever be able to age again after a certain point.

"It's alright Arminius you can come in and train with us if you want. It's nothing too hard just some target practice." Francis said as he noticed that the boy seemed pretty nervous. Well he wasn't entirely surprised at that one, being new to the team made people feel that way sometimes since they didn't know where they fit in. But Francis and Hope could help him in fitting in if he wanted too. It was the only thing that Francis could think of. He had only seen Arminius at least once or twice and he knew a majority of the Avengers since he had been there since he was a young boy when he first picked up his archery skills. Francis had always been human and it seemed like it'd stay that way for the rest of his life. He had never gotten the chance to use super powers, but didn't seem all that interested in trying it out just now. Being human was just fine with him.
Plus he had other skills that were quite impressive for his young age such as not missing a target hardly ever. If this archery thing didn't work out he'd try to go into something like baseball where you we required to have such a decent target. He'd need the aim in that sport that's for sure. Francis opened the door a bit more so Arminius could look in to see what the course had looked like. To most people it hopefully didn't seem that bad where they weren't facing death traps. That was probably more for the older and experienced Avengers who seemed to overcome almost any obstacle with ease. "Just target practice that I nearly failed once already." Francis added for some amusement since they had to have some funny times at some point. "And that is very rare for me."
