Hyacinth couldn't believe she was thinking this but for once she didn't want to fight. No, she wanted to prevent her and Barney form ending up destroying each other and leave the Dark Avengers with only two people left which meant they wouldn't be much of a team anymore. These feelings she had were once again alien and new but they were ones that surprisingly made her all the more determined to save the man she not only cared deeply for, but actually loved. She didn't want to lose the one person she was able to connect with unlike many others who she had used, tricked, and left to die so many countless times but this time she wouldn't let that happen as she fought Barney until he made a wrong step.
In all the fighting she had not realized she had forced the archer to maneuver away from where she wanted him to fall and now he was left hanging for dear life. "Barney!" She called as she rushed over and put her tonfas in their loops on her belt and grabbed his arm. "Don't you dare fall on me! Not after we just made up archer!" Hyacinth said as she struggled with trying to pull him up, Barney proving to be heavier than she could lift since the one thing she didn't have was superhuman strength. But she braced her feet against the walk way in a crouched position as she gripped his arm tightly and gave a few strong heaves, having to put up fire walls to prevent the performers rushing them and allowing Barney to fulfill Trickmaster's orders to fall, something she wouldn't allow. And finally she did accomplish in pulling him up, making sure Barney was safely away from the edge before she turned his face towards her.
"Barney your stronger than this, fight the control! If you can't for yourself than do it for me." Hyacinth tried to say giving him a quick and slightly tight hug, again a first for the young alien feline but hopefully enough. "You're not fighting this alone archer, so please try."

Hyacinth heaved and pulled Barney up over the edge, it was clear she was having trouble as he tried to move the rest of himself up without her having to struggle and cause strain on her body. The fire soon appeared as it felt a bit hotter that normal and once Barney was pulled up he felt relieved that he was back on. But it was not going to end. She held Barney safe away from the fire. Her words went through his head as he tried so hard to fight. He tried so hard that the minutes that ticked by felt like hours. But it had only had been a second. Finaly he breathed a sigh of relief as he pressed against Hyacinth's fur feeling how warm it was, he didn't mind it at all as he kept close to her. "Hyacinth. It's me again. Barney's back. I feel like I have a stabbing back ache where that brute grabbed me though." Barney said as he rested against her gently though.
He hoped he didn't have to convince her that he was back, but Hyacinth was one of the few people who seemed to understand him the most. His dilemmas and as well as his personality. He looked back at her with his eyes trying to assure her he was alright. But his bow had dropped down into the audience seats below and had almost forgotten it. Of course he could still fight without it and some of the arrows were still valuable in close range so it wasn't the end of the world right there. "So do you want to get back to kicking their buts? I have to go find my bow but I'm still not completely helpless." He said with a soft smile even though he kew there were still concerns at hand that had to be dealt with. Barney glared back at the other circus of crime members. IT was clear that they were annoying and foolish, the Dark Avengers were probably better off than the clown fools down there.
"Looking for this archer? You can't get exactly far without your arrows." The Trickmaster said as he was up higher on one of the walks that seemed to be a part of a stunt. There were only a few things that could probably reach the high point up in the air as ropes and pullies could get to it. That was a challenge that the archer and the feline had to figure out on their own. "You better give that back Trickmaster, you know that's a custom fit only for me it wouldn't work for the likes of your fools." He said with a sharp annoyed look.

When Barney was safely back on the walk way Hyacinth took a moment to catch her bearings but held the archer close, mostly also to keep him out of range from her crimson flames. They were hotter than her transparent ones he had faced during their training and touching them would result in worse burns then he already faced before. "I have no doubts it's you Barney, otherwise you'd still be trying to get me with these trick arrows of your's." She said to him, looking relieved he was able to fight the control like she had expected, especially finding that he was much more stronger than some little mind control pixie dust.
Her gaze then went towards the Trickmaster, the man seeming to be rather sly or rather quick since he had just been on the walkway when she was trying to save Barney. "Can't believe I'm saying this but we need help Barney, we can't keep fighting these goons alone." She said as her flame walls were beginning to disappear and the circus members preparing the moment they would die down. Even she would have her limit of stamina, despite being more than capable of going longer than most humans but she wondered if they'd have to admit defeat. Though that was when she heard surprised yells and looked over with surprise, seeing a blast of lunar energy being fired from the roof of the tent before a form swooped in and tossed down the dark form of Blake, who hissed as he flipped a few times before kicking over a few of the Circus of Crime members and blocked their path. "Ask and you shall receive Hyacinth. I don't quite know how the original Dark Avengers operated Barney but it we are to be a real team we have to work together as one wouldn't you say?" He said as he drew one of his katanas.
The other form though happened to be Jacob as he soared around to face the Trickmaster, "I'd say this show is way out of your hands Trickmaster. Quite frankly, I think it's time to close you guys down for good and get out of town. This is the Dark Avengers' turf." Jacob said darkly as he swooped down and tried to punch at the old man, hoping to force him to drop the bow so his teammate could get his weapon back.

It was clear that he had gotten over it and Barney had gotten a strong will. Maybe that was what had kept him alive when he was on the brink of death. Or he just had to admit it that he was indeed in love with Hyacinth. But he wasn't about to admit it with her just yet. She didn't seem to have the same feelings or maybe she didn't understand them. None the less, he nodded as she called the Dark Avenger members, it was clear that two members would not be able to take an entire team down on their own. They needed help. "It's good to see you guys." He said as he looked up seeing Jacob and Blake. "We have a bit of clean up to do with these morons." He added as he pointed a finger back to the remaining members that hadn't been beaten to a pulp yet.
Barney looked up seeing the bow as his fellow team mate had dropped it down from high above. He had quarrels with the team before but they needed to start working like one. If they were ever to manage to take down a team like the Avengers or even the X-Men they would need co operation. And this time it was clear this an opportunity for them to be just that. "Thanks Jacob." He added. He put his hand up in the air as he caught the bow, which had gone back to the retractable form that it had once been earlier, and he pressed a button that triggered it to open once more. With his free hand, he took out an arrow as he began to send it towards the Trickmaster as a bit of revenge for them for what he had done earlier. As he tried to flee the arrow released a net that caught him almost easily. "You fool! You were the traitor that left us. You and your brother both left us. Are you going to abandon the team that you were both on now?" He asked trying to turn it around for Barney.
"I was doing the dirtiest of jobs that a circus could have. I was the lowest of the low, at least here they don't treat me like dirt. Jacob or Blake want to take care of this idiot?" He asked the two other members if they wanted a wack at the members of the Circus of Crime. They seemed to be scattered now as attacks were sent in all directions. Seeing this, they might as well retreat.

Seeing things beginning to turn in their favor Hyacinth growled as she lunged across the opposite side of where Blake was holding off some of the circus members. For now she took care of the ones that had begun to gather on the other side, slashing her claws and using her own acrobatic and fighting prowess to handle the men. Blake meanwhile was likewise busy, using his agility and speed to strike while occasionally blasting them away with his solar energy beams. Both though were obviously doing so to keep some clear room for Barney so he could shoot his arrows when needed, especially towards any that tried to come past them. And finally some of them began to back off, realizing they didn't stand a chance against the three Dark Avengers who were on the ground but they didn't seem to be giving up quite yet.
"It'd be my pleasure." Jacob said as he soared around, having taken care of some of the high performing acrobats as they tried to attack him, and of course they didn't do quite well. Now with them pretty much beat and trying to recover the winged man flew down and grabbed the net, easily lifting the Trickmaster as if he were a child and flying up towards a rope that had come down from what held one corner of the tent. In no time the young mutant was trying the Trickmaster to it, brushing his hands off as he flew back slightly. "Well Trickmaster I think you can get a good view of what remains of your circus from here, and I wouldn't recommend trying any disappearing or escaping acts, it's quite a long drop with no safety net." He said with a grin before he flew away and headed over to his teammates to make sure they were doing alright. "Hey guys, are you alright?"
"Doing fine here, just a little sore and annoyed." Hyacinth said as she watched the circus members closes and Blake merely flicked his tail as a sign he was fine as well.

"Thanks Jacob." Barney said as he soared above to take care of the others that they could not reach. He probably could've gotten them with his arrows but wasn't about to try it just now. As far as he could tell, they managed to get a good chunk of the team and overwhelm them. It was clear that they were already doing pretty darn well for a small team. But they still had a long way to go before they had to worry about the Avengers. "You've got to be kidding me. This was supposed to be a very good team. I'd like to see you fools try and take on the Avengers and leave unharmed!" The Trickmaster said as he was being held against his will in the net that he had fired upon the leader earlier. "That day will come Trickmaster. We'll be ready for the Avengers." Barney assured him.
When Jacob came back and asked how they were it seemed like there were minor problems that had come to the team. "Same here, I imagine I will be sore for awhile, since that tough guy nearly squished me." Barney said as he rubbed his soar sides remembering where he had squished him in the joints. He was lucky that things hadn't gotten worse than that. Broken bones wouldn't have done very well either as he had to probably go to the hospital for that. He knew that things could have gotten worse but luckily their team members had arrived on scene as he looked up seeing the others arrived. As far as he could tell, the others seemed perfectly fine.
"Is everyone ready to go at this point? I think we can leave the cops up to arresting these idiots." Barney suggested as he heard the sirens coming as it seemed that bystanders had heard the commotion. With that, he put his bow back on his shoulder so he could easily carry it out with his hands free. With that, he began to head towards the exit seeing that some of the fools on the Circus of Crime already had their hands tied up.

"Oh put a sock in it you circus creep, you don't exactly scream professionals yourself. Maybe next time do an operation that's not so obvious or someone in town knows you." Jacob said with annoyance towards Trickmaster before turning away since he was really a waste of time now. Though the winged Dark Avenger kept an eye on things going on around them as the others were being certain they were alright. Him and Blake though seemed fine, except maybe Blake having a small cut or two during the fighting otherwise he was in better shape than their two teammates next to them. "Hey least your not a archer pancake, I don't think we'd have much of a way to revive you from being the flattened Trickshot. But maybe we could throw you like a disc then." Jacob said, partially teasing as he heard the sirens and flew after them.
"Think you should wait for the jokes Jacob, seems not the right time or you should work on the punch lines." Blake said as they followed after Barney. At least him and Jacob followed but it seemed Hyacinth was more comfortable walking right beside Barney, surprising the two when she took Barney's nearest hand in her own. "More than ready to leave archer, and I think you can finally leave this all behind you." Hyacinth said, indicating the circus as it was a good time as any to forget this part and not allow it to weigh him down any longer. Though she looked back as she saw their teammates exchanging a glance and glared. "What are you two staring at?" "Uhm...obviously the likes of you two. We knew you were close but not this close." Blake said.
Jacob though scratched his head in wonder, "So does that mean you two are like..."Before he could finish his sentence Jacob yelped as he avoided a stream of red flames from Hyacinth, who obviously was annoyed by the inquiry and obviously found it a little personal for them to be so nosy. "Mind your business bird boy, next time I pluck those wings." She huffed as she once again walked beside Barney and the other two followed this time Jacob in silence and Blake actually laughing out loud in amusement at the drawback to Jacob's curiosity. "We just might make a team yet."

He couldn't help but roll his eyes towards the others as they joked back and forth. Every once in awhile he could pull out his own joke towards the other. But it was not near official enough for them to say that the two were dating yet. Hyacinth had even admitted that she didn't understand what some of these emotions meant, so for all he knew it'd take some time before it'd be that chance he'd get for becoming her girlfriend. So the boys would better wait at this point if they were going to see something happen between the two.
"The only thing that we did was made up for the fight that...I caused earlier." Barney said admitting that it may have been his fault earlier. But he didn't seem to mind the teasing at this point, he might as well be used to it because he had already gotten tons of it from Clint when he was younger. So it was nothing the same. If anything, they could have picked him up the floor with a spatula off the ground if anything else wouldn't have worked. Of course half of it was teasing but he really didn't want to think about it right now. He sighed as he looked back when he saw Hyacinth's old familiar side coming back to her. The more hostile and not exactly nice to her, he was at least glad that part of him wasn't on that end.
"I would certainly say that we need more members. Then we might be better at getting to the Avengers. But we did a pretty good job out there so far." Barney admitted as he came over to where the motorcycle was parked and tossed the helmet over to Hyacinth hoping that she was at least paying attention. With one glance back at her he would have easily tossed it in her direction without missing, unless she wanted to block it. But the helmet was for her safety of course and the last thing he needed was being pulled over by the cops on this eventful evening. The next helmet he took was clearly his as it fit him a bit better and strapped it around his neck. "Well I guess we'll meet you guys back over at the base at this point. We'll be fast but I doubt as fast as a bird." He said knowing that traffic was going to be annoying, but since they were villains, who really cared about traffic?
