It didn't seem real as he felt himself drifting further from consciousness. His mind was elsewhere as he dreamt about things that he wished were real. As an adult man he stood in a white area which may have possibly been the dimension that telepaths used when they spoke with their mind. The name of the place did not ring a bell to Tony as he couldn't see much beyond the small room that he was in. As he walked a bit forward a figure stood before him as he was stunned on who he was. It just couldn't be so that it was a person who was very important in his past. It was the very person who helped give him life, "Dad." He said as he looked up at his father. His father could see the sadness in Tony's eyes and as well as the weakness that Magneto had put in him weeks ago. However dream or not he embraced his father for a bit as he wished so badly to be real. He wanted it to be real so badly since it had been years since Tony last saw him.
"I see the sadness in you Tony. But I want you to remember something that I told you years ago. Don't give up on a dream. And I have seen that you have given up on one." his father said in a serious voice as Tony knew what his father was talking about. "You mean my dream of Ironman...?" He said with a sigh as he looked away from him a bit after thinking about what his father had said. He had told Yuki and the other Avengers that he didn't want to be Ironman anymore. He had been hesitant ever since Hope sent out the Phoenix force and attacked his building. His building for crying out loud. He never thought once that his own home that kept the Avengers safe for years would be nearly destroyed. "You don't need to be so filled with worry anymore Tony. You have a team. Friends that care about you. And a future wife. I've never been so proud of you before. I am glad to call you my son. Now will you take the next step and try and get past your fears and hesitation?" Howard asked as a large room stood before them like they were in his storage unit of his ironman suits. In front of him was his famous black and yellow Ironman suit that he used so many times in the past. He seemed to be hesitant and took a long time on trying to figure out an answer for the older man. Finally he looked back at his father nodding, "I can." He added as he went into the chamber and began to suit up. But as he was Tony felt his conscious starting to come back to reality as the world faded behind. His father disappeared as he heard a voice coming for him that he knew all too well. "Well done, my son. The Golden Avenger is back...."
"He's waking up you guys!" The male voice said as he recognized it as Clint's voice which made him realize one thing. He was either still on Genosha but what explained this warm area that he felt before him? It was clear that someone was trying to prevent him from going into a hypothermic shock again which he was rather pleased for. As his vision came into focus he realized that he was in the hospital and in one room just to himself. "Ugh. How long was I out?" He asked as he rubbed his eyes to clear them as he saw his team but he didn't see Yuki. Had she not come yet or was busy? That made him feel a bit concerned as he wanted to know where she was. "For at least twelve hours Tony. The staff was making sure everything was alright with you and they gave you round the clock care until they knew you were stable. You'll be in the hospital until the weekend so they can make sure you recover." Steve's voice said as he saw his friend back in civilian clothing. "I know I said this earlier but thanks guys. I really do owe you one for bringing me back. I could have been a goner. But while I was out I had a talk with my dad...it felt so real...he convinced me to bring the spark back for being Ironman again. Well at least until I feel better. I promise I won't leave you guys for some time." Tony said as Hawkeye seemed to smile at this news. "Alright Ironman is back in the Avengers line up again!" He said as Tony gave a soft chuckle at Hawkeye's amusement. Well the archer was known for it, right?

"Well good to hear that Tony, not to mention good to have you back. You being gone certainly had us all worried and even more so for those of us who didn't know what the outcome would be on Genosha so it's good to have you back." Balis spoke up, leaning against the wall nearby and still showed his own concern for Tony as well. He had not participated in the battle since he had been busy elsewhere with doing something for a mission but that didn't mean he hadn't been concerned of what happened. All this time he always worried about his teammates and always found himself frustrated when he couldn't be of help to them and only wait. That was why he had rushed over soon as he heard the Avengers were back and Tony in the hospital he had been with Clint and Steve the entire time things were going on there.
Though that was when he had really been worried for the worse when seeing Tony in such a state. Why would anyone do this to a human being? Mutants were still humans just more advanced through natural evolution so Balis was trying to wrap his mind around why Magneto still resorted to this torture crap. "Still amazes me even after all these years Magneto resorts to this," He stated before remembering something and pulled out a card in his pocket, "By the way, this is a get well card from Hope. She couldn't make it here right now but I offered to take it." Of course, Balis had been rather reluctant to offer it since he found himself nervous with knowing who Hope was and set the card on a table close to Tony's bed.
----------
The news had been on and off about Tony's disappearance and recently there had been some accounts that the Avengers and X-men had returned with him and someone else. Though who else they had saved had never been made clear, that was the only thing. Violet had been wondering if the two teams were doing alright but she could only find out that Tony was registered to one of the hospitals there and it happened to be close to where she went to school and worked at so she thought it might be a good time to go give her best wishes to the Avengers and see if they were okay. From what she knew in the past the Future Foundation and Avengers had been close allies so it seemed only natural one of the members went there to see they were alright.
After asking to Tony's room Violet was directed a few floors up which she took the elevator and held back her worry that it may be serious. Using her empathy she sensed for their feelings and could sense several, which caused her to start looking around for a bit until she heard a group of voices and paused, seeing through the window the famous team and one of their younger members, a demi-god from what she heard. Walking to the doorway she knocked a bit before she spoke, "Hope you guys don't mind a little more company,"She said making Balis raise an eye brow. "Who are you?" Balis asked immediately which Violet expected as she stepped inside. "My name is Violet Frost, I'm a recent member of the Future Foundation and since my team and the Avengers have always been allies seems only natural one member from the FF comes to see how you guys are doing. But from the sounds of things you guys certainly have been hitting some rough times." She said to them.
Though there was one thing Violet was worried about as well: of the Avengers becoming suspicious of her due to her last name. She figured Tony might know the name well since he had known her mother, Emma Frost, in the past and could only wonder if this might bring some bad memories.

Tony nodded as he looked back seeing Balis he understood that not all the Avengers could have made it in the event of his rescue he was grateful that anyone was willing to go to such lengths. He knew that he could count on his team now in order to make sure that they would be willing to get one of their own team mates out of trouble there would be a chance that they’d do it again for civilians who had no protection of their own. “It’s alright Balis I understand.” He assured giving the young teammate a soft smile as he understood. Though he wasn’t expecting the next part of the conversation as Balis placed a card on the table that was beside him there were flowers chosen by the nurses no doubt as they were still fresh and alive on it as well but other than that the table looked pretty empty. He took the card and opened it and read what Hope had to say, “Well that was thoughtful of her. She can come over whenever she has the chance being that I’m not leaving the doctor’s sights for several days.” Tony said knowing that he could do it a bit more easily in his own building but this was not his turf. Once he was done reading the card he placed it back on the table though he left it as partially opened so it could stand up easily.
Tony shook his head as he heard Balis’ concern about what Magneto had done. It was true that he had gone to such great lengths to torture, and he was sure that Horus had felt the worst out of the two of them even when he blacked out towards the end. He did hope that Horus was alright, he was going to check on him as soon as he was able to stand up on his own two feet. He did notice that Pietro wasn’t around maybe the twin knew the whereabouts of where his brother was being kept in another hospital or in the X mansion.”Magneto wanted information out of me but I refused to give him hardly any. The other reason why I was kept alive so long was to work on projects for him. I ultimately refused to take part in building weapons for him because I knew what sort of disaster that’d be for Magneto and the others. The projects I did work on however, I left a couple of dormant viruses in them in case he tries anything that will involve misusing them.” Tony said knowing that Magneto would need another smart person to hack the machines again and solve the problems. He knew how deadly viruses could be on computers they could wipe the entire machine clean and building them from scratch was not easy either but he was the one who managed to build an arch reactor practically out of nothing.
It wasn’t long before someone else arrived into the room as the Avengers took notice of another arrival into the room. The room was decent sized at least to fit several people so he didn’t feel bad at all if there was a large crowd of people. He wasn’t surprised at all if there was a news group that was waiting to come in order to ask questions about his event and as well as what the Avengers went through to bring him back. “It’s nice to meet you Ms. Frost and it’s appreciated that you came. We knew most of the Fantastic Four members when they were just a group of four.” Tony said knowing by now that the Fantastic Four had also gone through a change since they were gaining more members as well there had to be something done about it.
Tony fell silent as he decided to tell the others about his dream when he had blacked out. He doubted anyone would believe that he saw his deceased father Howard Stark in the dream and that it felt so real. But it was worth a shot, “Also you guys I kind of had something personal happen to me when I blacked out. I talked to my father for some time, it was like it was one of those father and son conversations you usually get. He was the one who helped me decide that it was time to be Ironman again. I think I was just afraid I’d lose more than just the fight.” Tony said as he looked back on the desk seeing that his Avengers Identicard was there. It was his only way to contact the Avengers incase anything happened while he was still resting.

"Well she has been hanging around the tower again Tony, so it might not be a surprise if she comes to see you at one point. So I doubt you'll be short of visitors any time soon Tony." Balis told him when seeing him read the card, still surprised Hope was even back but seemed like a good thing the team was getting strong again. For a while it seemed like things had been falling apart since the time of the Phoenix Force had burst out and attacked them likely without intention to harm. Nonetheless, it definitely would be a rough time for the Avengers when some of their members weren't completely up on their game or ready to fully be part of the team.
For now though he listened to the others hearing Violet only say to call her by her real name just as Tony was starting to tell them about a strange dream he had. And quite an unusual one it was since it seemed rather far fetched that he'd meet his father like that, not to mention to end up inspired to continue to be Ironman but at the same time it seemed a good thing in this event that Tony had seemed to be giving up hope before. "Quite a dream it sounds like, weird but it's a good thing you decided to come back. We always could use your help no matter what you might think, even a few losses by a punk from the Brotherhood shouldn't deter you from that." Balis told him confidently, hoping it might further show Tony he was always needed among them. Still he had a hard time finding that a dream could be part of that and it seemed Violet picked up on it as she began speaking up.
-------------
"Please Mr.Stark call me Violet, Ms.Frost is my mother." Violet told them with a smile, glad to see he definitely was looking better than what she had initially been hearing. But then again you couldn't always trust the news as they tended to exaggerate things beyond what they really were, when things weren't really so bad and the news made it out to be all the time. Still though Tony looked like he had seen better days and the Avengers seemed to be in a better mood which she could easily sense thanks to her empathy but she glanced towards Balis who she sensed seemed quite puzzled by Tony's next explanation of his dream and likely finding it difficult to understand he could get any motivation from such a thing.
Smiling slightly she spoke, "Actually it's very quite possible your ethereal form may have left your physical state Tony, causing you to enter the dimensional spiritual plane and possibly meet with your father in spirit. A phenomenon that happens quite often when one is in a state where they may be close to death or nearly in a close state of where their body just cannot take much more punishment such as yourself. Whether we are humans or mutants it is quite possible to enter that plane since it's considered to be the home of spirits as well." Violet explained but could see a brief confusion on Balis' face. "In other words he likely had a possible out of body experience leading his astral or spirit form to enter a state of unrest and going to the astral plane where spirits are likely to reside or one can meet others on that plane in a spiritual form." She said in more lame man's terms getting a quick nod as Balis understood now. "Regardless if your a mutant or mutate with psychic powers, a magic user, or just a human it can happen one way or another. Thus it might explain the dream feeling real or it might very well have been a real experience and feels like a dream."
She probably could have expected funny looks from most of the Avengers, though she figured Tony Stark being one of the most brilliant minds in the world would easily understand her terminology. Sometimes she couldn't help how she spoke or the fact she just had a love for the sciences, "Guess I should have expected that reaction, not everyone can keep up with such things."

“That’s good to hear that she’s coming around. The last time I saw her I told her that she could come at any point she wanted as a guest. I know Hope and Francis are pretty close friends at this point. At this point the Avengers could use all the help we can get. But I’m very happy that you guys managed to pull off such a feat on rescuing Horus and I when we were in trouble.” Tony said knowing that he could trust the team in a hard event that was coming down on them. This only proved that they still had the skills that they needed in order to protect those that could not protect themselves. In this case, it was him and Horus who had been so badly beaten and tortured in the past coming weeks. He began to wonder if Magneto was truly a monster on how Pietro had described his own father. In speaking of Pietro, Tony noticed that the speedster was not in the building. He wondered if Horus had been a bit more important at the time as he was visiting his brother. He was sure that the speedster would come around to it when he was up for visiting his team leader. Horus was in such bad shape compared to Tony was even though the two were practically on the edge of death.
“I certainly hope not. Next time we see Magneto if he wants to give us a thing or two from the Brotherhood we’ll be ready to strike back.” Tony said but he had to recover first before they had to worry about an attack from the Brotherhood. He could barely stand since his injuries had been so fatal and would likely need a wheelchair on the next coming days as he practiced walking again. Though when Violet spoke up Tony was a bit surprised at what she had to say about the dream. It had felt so real and from the sounds of it her explanation made much more sense now that he realized it. Dr. Strange and Xavier could both make their connection to the astral plane but had Tony reached another part of the world that only a few could get too? And it would also explain on why it took him so long to wake up as his body and spirit were both trying to adjust to the part of recovering from his injuries. When he blacked out as he recalled, someone held on to him when he fell into the sleep with a tight grip and it was probably his father who was holding onto his life not wanting to see his son die at such an age.
Though when he looked back at the Avengers when they gave a few odd looks he chuckled knowing that they’d have to explain this a few more times on what Violet meant on having an out of body experience. He doubted that any one of them had something like he had, or very few at least. “I understood what you meant, Violet. It makes sense as a lot of the signs pointed to that. I was near death and my body wasn’t ready to exactly go at that point. I wouldn’t exactly recommend that anyone try to do that on their own though. I’ll admit it was nice to see my father again since he’s been dead for nearly 25 years, last I checked. I was roughly 20 when it happened, and inherited Stark Industries from him.” Tony said knowing that it had been an unexpected tragedy for the stark family when Howard and Maria Stark both died suddenly and left him the legacy of his father on his shoulders. Sure he did have some bad memories with his father and mother, but he had always longed to see them again and hear their voices go through their head. And what made things even more surprising was his father had been the one to convince him to be Ironman again. It wouldn’t be until years later that the man would be a hero like he was today.
“There’s still one thing that I can’t understand is what happened before I blackd out. The Brotherhood had been told to abandon the mission by Magneto and I don’t know why he wanted to do it so suddenly. It’s like he had a sudden change of… heart?” Tony said as he realized that might not have been the best word for it as he realized it. It was very odd, Magneto had a heart? It was such a strange sentence in his mind. “Maybe that wasn’t the best word to use but I think you guys know what I mean. He just suddenly stopped the attack as he was so keen on keeping me as a prisoner.”

"We got your back Tony, and any of our allies. We'd risk life and limb to make sure you guys were safe no matter what it may cost." Balis said firmly, being certain the others would agree with him. When it came among the Avengers and X-men Balis had learned the close bonds they grew to have on these teams lead to not only them being close friends and allies but almost being like a big family. And like many of them Balis only had had his mother to rely on most of his life, his father Apollo having not known about him for years until he was ten and only could stay with him for two years after that before he had to return to Olympus which had been a hard thing to watch him leave. Sometimes the young demi-god wished his father would visit at least once in a while or he could have had the chance to meet Mount Olympus once of these days himself. Though it was a place for true heroes and champions, like his cousin Hercules, which meant he likely wasn't allowed there yet.
Though he definitely was growing to dislike the Brotherhood the more they fought them or heard about their actions. It made Balis wonder how they even came to restart as a group in the first place or why Magneto would surface again after fourteen years of just being out of the business. "The man has got issues Tony, whether or not he has a heart he just needs a lot of help." Balis remarked as he doubted Magneto actually had a heart but none of them were aware of the real reason Magneto went back to his ways. Maybe not even Pietro.
Though luckily Balis did get the meaning of what Violet meant by an out of body experience, having been confused by her use of terminology before. The young hybrid though was just glad he never experienced such a thing and hoped he never would have to any time soon.
------------
Violet too was left to wonder what was wrong with Magneto and the Brotherhood as their motives for returning and performing certain actions seemed scattered and bold, especially in kidnapping Tony. Were they trying to accomplish goals of the past? What were they trying to get across at all? And just exactly what had gotten into their leader these days? He seemed ruthless one day then calm and another time seemed to just have a change of heart...this man just couldn't seem to keep a one track mind and that's what made him so dangerous. What made the Brotherhood dangerous as well is their own unpredictability. They would strike without warning, swoop in unexpectedly and leave little trace behind to go on afterwards and it left a frustrating pattern for just about every hero since they didn't know who to fight. And on top of that they had the Dark Avengers to worry about too.
"It might be something Pietro said while you guys were there that made Magneto stop, from what I've heard he wouldn't truly risk harming his children. Not seriously anyway or intentionally." Violet said, crossing her arms in thought but could only shake her head as nothing made sense really at this situation. "Anyway, you should be worrying about recovering Tony and you guys have proven you can still pull some amazing stuff off when times call for it. I think it's been more then proven the Avengers are going no where in a hurry, your not called one of the world's mightiest hero teams for nothing after all." She told them with a smile as she moved a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Thanks you guys you all proved so much when you were out there on Genosha. You guys acted like you could be counted on even when other team members are down. And for that I thank you." Tony said but it was clear that he was starting to feel tired again. As much as he wanted to be in the reunion again with his team it was probably well deserved at some point that he got some rest. Tony couldn't even remember the last time he actually had a decent night sleep without having to worry about some sort of torture.
"But I would agree there was something not right about Magneto and it may not ever be able to be fixed. And that's something being said about a man who repairs things almost daily. And built an arch reactor from scratch as well." Tony said as he knew it was probably true. If he had wanted too, the man could have killed him right on the spot. The team wouldn't come and they'd be down a leader. But it was clear that they cared for each other. Not to mention the Avengers and X-Men acted like a team. He even recalled in the beginning of their time together that the Avengers were not able to work real well and there were so many differences that had to go through and put aside. Like Tony's big ego for an example that got away in some of the other team members.
Though he did wonder if family have to do something with it. Pietro was decent with words, though maybe a bit too decent sometimes as he had an incredibly fast speech. He couldn't help but smile at Violet's words because it was certainly true. "Well whatever it was. Pietro seems to be missing in action right now." Tony said knowing that he wasn't in the room at the time some of the Avengers were there as well. "Pietro said something about going to the X-Mansion. He said it so fast that it was a little bit too hard to understand. But I'm sure Quicksilver will come around, he always does. As for you Tony, Violet's right you need to worry about getting some rest." Cap said as he put his hand on his friend's shoulder. "Just don't be surprised if you find out that I broke into my building before I'm discharged from the hospital. I still have things to do there that haven't been finished yet." Tony said with a soft chuckle.
"We'll make sure you don't get that far Tony. Besides it sounds like some fun trying to keep the boss of Stark Industries out of his own building. And kind of ironic too." Hawkeye said with a laugh as Tony sighed like it'd be another night of where he didn't get any sleep because of worrying about his stuff being destroyed by the Hulk or other heroes by accident supposedly.
