A New Age of Heroes - A brand new Super Hero RP!

In a world where meta-humans with super-human capabilities were rare, but did exist, there was a time where these people were considered heroes. These heroes inspired people all around the world, having come from many backgrounds. Some hid their true identities while they used their powers, others were open about who they were. Additionally - and quite unfortunately - this rise in super-human heroes led to an eventual rise in super-human criminals, and the conflicts that grew between the two would only grow as time went on.

Among these heroes, there was one man who stood out, a single entity so powerful it was said he could take on all of the world's armies on his own and still come out the victor. This man, by the name of Luca Walker, was the most famous hero of them all. Like any good hero, he had a villain who acted across from him, creating his conflict, and this "villain" was a man known as Lev Mihaelov, a powerful telepath who could do as much with his mind as Luca could do with his physical body.

The majority of Lev's and Luca's battles were televised and scripted to be convincing, but so that no lives were really in danger during their acts. Buildings were always cleared out in time before a scene, and people were given proper compensation by either of these super-humans after the destruction they caused. Despite their TV personalities and tags of "hero" and "villain," Lev and Luca were the best of friends, and a powerful super-human duo that upkept peace throughout the world together. But, alas, all is destined for change.

Luca and Lev partook in a battle that was not scripted, and it shook the very Earth to its core. In the heat of the battle, Luca was blinded by rage, and took the life of his wife as she tried to calm him down. Refusing to admit what he'd done, he blamed the death of his wife on Lev, and cursed the man, destroying countless cities in his anger. Because of this, superheroes were no longer seen as such, as the people began to fear them rather than hold them high-up on a pedestal. They were even stripped of the names of "super-human," "meta-human," and "superhero," and were instead given one identifier.

"Mutant."

Rather than allow his fellow mutants to be persecuted needlessly, Lev formed an Academy where he would train young mutants to learn how to use their powers, so they would not act rashly or violently. Lev would use his powerful telepathic abilities to locate mutants from all around the world, and recruit them to his cause. Though, there were many who would not take part, opting to stay on their own, or form their own small bands, and these mutants were referred to as "Rogues."

Which side will you join? The Academy? The military? The rogues? The choice is yours.
