<<APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY>>
The very definition of your self
The very definition of your self
Over all Personality: Remy LeBeau has always been a very smooth talker and a very convincing person at that. It isn't hard for Gambit to get his way as his charm plays a big part in who he is. The Cajun mutant also has a sense of humor, but can also be serious. He's often looked to as the cool adult out of the X-Men teachers, but he does care about the well being of the students. He can always offer street wise advice. Remy can always get himself out of a sticky situation.
At heart, he is a romantic. He loves the ladies and the ladies love him, or so he thinks. He does have a bit of arrogance to his personality. Among his vices are smoking, drinking and gambling. As for virtues, he possesses a heart of gold and love for his family and friends. Also, though he does not like to hurt people, he will not hesitate to if someone hurts his loved ones.
Remy also has a dark past, which he is trying to gain redemption from, so part of the reason he strives to do the right thing is to make up for his past. He doesn't like being known as being just a thief. He has somewhat of a cynical view on life as well. Not that he is faithless, he has just seen so much in life that he has his doubts.
Over all Appearance: Remy is 6'1 and weighs 179 lbs. His physique is athletic, but not overly muscular. He's toned just right and looks pretty darn good shirtless, as he does have a six pack. A mop of brown hair tops his head, just above his red and black eyes and high cheekbones. The Cajun likes a little facial hair as well, so he's almost always seen with some, as it makes him feel rugged. Remy's skin has a tinge of tan to it as well, given his Cajun blood. Women have always fallen for his rugged good looks.
His clothing style is rugged, casual yet fashionable. It really does vary. Most notably, he wears a trench coat. This is because it is easy to hide his cards, staff, whatever he has to use as a weapon and plus it adds a nice touch.
Anything else: Remy has various small scars that aren't that noticeable. Anyone living a life of thievery and the life of a superhero is bound to get a few. He also has a tattoo of the Queen of Hearts on his left shoulder blade.
Items: a pack of cards, bo staff

Our powers are also called gifts, but some say they are curses
Skills: hand to hand combat, stealth, computers, bilingual in French, English and a little Japanese, Cajun cooking, Poker, Black Jack, Pool, lying
Powers:
Kinetic Manipulation - Remy has the ability to convert the potential energy of an object to kinetic energy, causing the item to explode. He does this by touching the item to "charge" it. .
Charm - He has the ability to have subtle control of ones mind, being able to manipulate them into believing anything he says.
Interference - Telepaths cannot get into his head because of the nature of his power. There is a static barrier which prevents a telepath from reading his thoughts. This goes for even the most powerful telepaths.
Enhanced Abilities - Also due to the nature of his powers and how he manipulates the energy, he has slightly more stamina, agility and dexterity.
Weaknesses: With his power, he can only "charge" inorganic matter, which is why he carries around a pack of cards and a bo staff as his preferred weapons. With the charm power, it does not work on strong telepaths and also on people who know he has this gift. Gambit's also sensitive to bright lights, as it irritates his eyes and gives him headaches.

Father: Unknown biological father, Jean Luc LeBeau (adoptive father)
Mother: unknown
Other family: Henri LeBeau (adoptive brother), Belladonna Boudreaux (ex wife), Desiree LeBeau (daughter)
History:
Remy was kidnapped from a New Orleans hospital shortly after birth, by members of the thieves guild, after believing the child was from a prophecy, being that he had red and black eyes. He was brought up by street thieves and was taken in by Jean Luc LeBeau when he was 10 after picking his pocket. Jean Luc was impressed with the boy's thieving skill and adopted the boy.
In an effort to unite the Thieves Guild with their rival guild, the Assassins, Remy was betrothed to his childhood friend Belladonna Boudreaux. At the wedding reception, he was challenged to a duel by Belladonna's brother Julien, in which Julien lost. Julien's death caused a major outrage. As a result, Remy was banned from New Orleans.
After this, he traveled, making his way by stealing, in which his power helped tremendously. Also, the fact that he was naturally good at gambling helped as well. He had some trouble controlling his power, so he approached Mr. Sinister for help. Mr. Sinister performed a surgery on his brain in an effort to reduce the potency of the young man's power. This did help, so Remy paid Mr. Sinister back by doing his bidding. This includes showing the Marauders where the Morlocks lived, so the Marauders could massacre them, unbeknownst to Remy. Remy was appalled that he played a part in this and managed to rescue a little girl named Sarah who would later become the mutant Marrow.
Later, he met the mutant Storm, who was trying to flee from the Shadow King. Remy helped her escape and Storm helped him get into the X-Men, where he fell in love with Rogue. It was mutual, but the relationship was complicated by Rogue's inability to touch. She did end up giving in and kissed him. When she kissed him, she absorbed some of his powers and memories, including that of the massacre.
After the others found out, he was put on trial by Magneto and subsequently was cast out of the X-Men and left in Antarctica. He spent awhile there and eventually found Magneto's citadel. This is where he encountered the psyche of Mary Purcell, a dead mutant. She possessed him, allowing him to live until he found the Savage Land. There he met New Sun and bargained with him if he got him back to the US. New Sun got him back home and he returned to the X-Men because of his feelings for Rogue.
Rogue had eventually learned to control her powers, but she and Remy always had an off and on relationship. This resulted in Rogue getting pregnant. The two went down to New Orleans so their child would be born in the south. The baby was born in the LeBeau household. Remy noticed a change in Rogue after becoming a mother. Things were rocky. Remy tried hard to make it work for the sake of Desiree, but it wasn't working. One morning, he woke up and Rogue was gone. Remy never really found out why she left, but he raised Desiree with the help of the guild members. Recently, the two moved back to New York. While Remy does not live at the X-Mansion, he did accept a teaching position at the school.
