Carol was almost clinging to Laurie as they flew, the speeds she was going being far faster than what she was use to with Pietro. He had gotten her back many times with his speed or they had gotten some place faster thanks to it and she had by now gotten so use to it, it never bothered her quite that much but this was far more different. Laurie was a flier as well making it somewhat more worrying of falling from a great height but it seemed the blue skinned woman had gotten pretty good at the flying and speed control since it took them a mere minute to come to the Avengers roof but another two minutes before Carol could bring herself to touch the roof beneath her and being certain she really was safe.
"Thanks for the lift Laurie, but next time a little warning." Carol said shakily making Laurie smile a bit and nod, "Sorry about that Carol I'll give you a better heads up if there's a next time. Have fun!" With that Laurie gave a final wave before disappearing in the distance in seconds again, probably even before Quicksilver would realize Carol was there yet. Though she was rather glad that he wasn't at that moment as she quickly combed her fingers through her hair and flattened it once again, using the water as a mirror. It was a little wind swept and she knew Pietro likely wouldn't care but it had become a habit lately to look her best no matter what. It was kind of a strange feeling really since she really had gotten closer to the speedster.
When she was sure everything was fine and after straightening up her clothes a bit she rested two fingers on her temple and gently touched Pietro's mind since the link was much stronger when they were in closer proximity. 'Pietro I'm on the roof if you're still around.' Carol told him, her tail twitching excitedly as she was quite looking forward to seeing the Avenger. It had been a while since she really had gotten this chance since most of the teachers seemed to want to keep her busy and occupied, leaving her tired and exhausted to even consider leaving the mansion to sneak a meeting with her boyfriend who they likely didn't approve of.

Pietro was down a bit further than usual as he had been doing some solo training. But even the ground levels couldn't keep him away from his girlfriend as he heard the message through his mind link. With that he grabbed a towel to wipe some of the sweat away and began to head up stairs to go and find his girlfriend. With his super human speed, he was there in a matter of seconds as he saw her and her furry form. Quicksilver couldn't help but smile when she saw her and in the past few days he was in a better mood even despite the growing tension that was between him and his father. Whom he now no longer wanted to be a part of the family with. "Carol it's good to see you again." He said as he gave her a quick hug in case she didn't mind it at all.
He did have a lot to ask her but wasn't entirely sure if it was a good idea to do it right now. After all she looked tired and maybe needed some rest first before anything. Not to mention flying sometimes it took a lot out of you. He knew for a fact since he had been on a plane like once. And didn't really like that except for being on a Quinjet. That was probably the only thing he'd fly on. Since he swore once that he'd stay on the ground until the day he died.
"A lot's happened these days and we need I guess some time to talk about it. And as far as I can tell, Tony hasn't arrived back yet. Of course you guys were faster than I was." Pietro said knowing that they might have to wait awhile before he came back and made sure that things were under control. At least the building was standing where the likes of Thor and the Hulk weren't smashing things apart when he disappeared. It was a common occurrence with the strong members of the Avengers. And Tony was the one who had to pay for it. Pietro was sure that he'd at least like his house to stand until he came back. Maybe he'd have to invent a way to keep the building Hulk Proof, of course that could be easier said than done. "And so far the Avengers building is still standing. No one's destroyed a part of it while Tony's gone too." He added.

For Carol it had almost become a game to her to see how fast Pietro could get somewhere, mostly since he was a speedster and she had began trying to estimate just how log it could take from place to place. This time it took him about six seconds, maybe seven when she counted mentally and she couldn't help smiling back when she saw that familiar white hair. "It's good to see you again too Pietro." Carol said as she hugged him back, not minding the hug at all. It really felt like forever since she had last been able to see him and it was a miracle that the distance or the X-men's approval hadn't caused a strain on their relationship since it was still relatively new between them. Sometimes those things happened and she was glad nothing was standing between them, and unknowingly to her there very well could be a few other factors.
And true as it was she was a little tired but not enough that it would bring her down right now, especially not right now. "Yea I'm sure there's plenty we have to talk about, considering recent events. I heard a little bit about what happened between you and your father Pietro and it's not like it escaped media attention about the team up, you wouldn't believe rumors going around." Carol said as she had been worried about Pietro since the incident. Had he been deeply affected by the encounter? Had he been badly hurt like Horus was? Those questions were just a few that had passed in her mind among many others but so far she seemed to find he was alright and that he was actually happier than she had ever seen him. Maybe the encounter had affected him but in a good way and this likely was what he was going to talk about. Or one of the things. "How about we head inside and talk, sure we might want to be comfortable than standing up here all day." She suggested but if he wanted to stay up there Carol didn't mind either way, she usually was easy about being anywhere. Almost at least.
Though she chuckled at that as she shrugged, "Don't think Tony can help that too long Pietro, Thor and Hulk are two powerhouse fighters that barely can be contained." She said. "As for Tony he was going to take a nap for a bit, you could say he had a bit of a rough day resulting in a headache. I'll tell you about it later since it kind of involved Horus and me being slammed into Tony, think it knocked us both out for a bit." She told him knowing he would want to hear that at some point since Pietro often was the type to worry a bit.

Pietro hadn't minded at all with the speed on his side. It was his thing, it was the way he went and that was always the case. After all that had been that way since he was a young teenager. With his powers he could've gone to New York, pick something back and not even waste five minutes except for maybe waiting in a line for a few minutes. But still, the speedster wasn't so sure how he'd get around without his powers, it just seemed impossible to view himself without them. "It's good to see you too Carol." Pietro added as he held her in the hug gently and didn't mind it at all either. He wasn't exactly sure how long it had been but it had certainly been a few days. It was like they had bee so busy the last time they had seen each other that they were both going to need some explination behind it. And Pietro didn't mind talking of course.
"Yeah about my father I kind of forced him out of the family. An exilement almost and I let him know." Pietro said half wondering if he had been a tad too harsh. Well it shouldn't have been an entire surprise. Pietro had not liked the man since he had first discovered him. And the fact that he hadn't been around for some time since he was born. Magda had been keeping them safe of the very monster that created him. And in a part of him, it didn't make much sense. Why was it this way? He seemed confused. The creature that had created him also had been hated so much by so many. Maybe it was just better if he didn't think about it now. Bad thoughts would create omens, and that was not needed here.
"Oh that doesn't sound like fun. I've been knocked out so I understand. Tony can come back when he's ready." Pietro said with a soft nod as he understood since he had been knocked out before. "Well let's just keep our fingers crossed for Thor and Hulk. They seriously need a truce or something." He said as his right hand his first fingers were crossed as an example while his thumb was left alone. With that being said they could at least enjoy the peace while it lasted. For now it seemed that they were going to be left alone. The Avengers building was quite for a change. "So what do you want to talk about first?" He asked keeping close to Carol.
