- Personality: When someone first meets Balis he certainly seems quite a happy go lucky kind of guy. He's always out-going and truly has a heart of gold, willing to help anyone if they need it. Pretty much he is a kind hearted teen who hardly seems to let anything weigh him down. Next to being friendly he seems very charismatic in people being drawn to him, even if Balis makes no move to draw people's attention. More often then not he tends to try and avoid it.
But Balis has been known to be quite protective of those he sees as friends and family, showing a deep loyalty to them from the moment he sees someone as being very close. But he also tends to care for those who are less fortunate. If he can he will do his best to help in a dangerous situation, willing to throw his life on the line to ensure one's safety. And just like anyone else Balis does have his limits and when those right buttons are pushed he can have quite the temper. So it's best to keep away if he is ever angry. - Likes:Being out in the sun, flying, several genres of music, training with his skills and powers,learning/meeting various gods and demi-gods

- Appearance: Though Balis looks like an average human he still stands out quite a bit due to his mixed heritage. To begin with he is little over 7 feet tall and weighs at 360 lbs of pure muscle. He has a lean muscular build, having the look and strength of a pro wrestler or body builder. His hair is a dark crimson red with having some natural feathers mixed in, his wings being the same crimson color, and his eyes are a piercing icy blue that lack pupils. What's more his skin is a bronze color, being with a slight orange pigment to it and has sharp facial features that makes him quite an attractive looking individual.
His clothes usually consist of anything that is comfortable and nothing too tight. Though he tends to wear jeans, t-shirts, muscle shirts, wife beater tank tops, shorts, and often sandals or sneakers. Though what he does like to wear when being his 'Sol' hero counterpart closely resembles his Olympian heritage. He wears a dark khaki colored boots, shirt, and face mask along with dark brown pants. HIs armor is a somewhat pale dark orange consisting of a chest plate baring an eight pointed star in honor of the Sun, wrist bands, and knee guards and a pendant around his neck. He also has naturally occurring feathers down his back and natural talon like claws on his fingers. - Distinguishing Features:his wings,eyes, height, skin, and denser bones

- Powers:
Wing manifestation-Due to his Shi'ar heritage Balis manifested wings when he was a teenager, though would be considered an 'evolutionary throwback' since they evolved past this. These wings are 10 feet each and 20 feet when fully spread and crimson red in coloration. They allow him to fly at speeds of 65 mph and 75 mph when diving and also allow him to fly for more then 6 hours without tiring.
Aerial Adaptation-Once more due to his Shi'ar heritage he has many avian features such as hollow bones, lack of much body fat, and special film over his eyes to protect them during flight. He also has bigger lung capacity to be able to breathe in denser air pressures.
Enhanced Strength-Due both sides of his lineage having enhanced strength Balis can lift far more then the average human. At the most he can lift 20 tons but with peak physical conditioning he can push it to 25 tons.
Enhanced Durability-Unlike normal humans Balis can withstand most physical injury then an average person. This is due to thicker skin and slightly denser bones, both again from his mixed heritage.
Enhanced Agility-His movements are quicker then normal and allow them to be much more fluent then most average people. This is especially true with his mixed martial arts or aerial maneuvers that allow for so things that are normally difficult to be done with ease.
Enhanced Stamina-Balis can do most activities for long periods of time without succumbing to the affects of fatigue and toxins in the body. He can go for hours, depending upon the activity, before he actually becomes exhausted.
Solar Manipulation-A power inherited from his father Apollo. Balis is a powerful user of this energy-based power to the point he can create 'solar' bolts, concussive blasts of varying degree of force, and volatile constructs. He has also demonstrated being able to create force fields of various sizes or shapes and being able to generate heat waves to the point of creating a heat wave of about 30 feet. He can also make constructs and absorb the heat given off by the sun. The heat he creates and generates can reach up to a minimum of 1200 degree F and maximum of 1600 degrees F.
Healing Factor-Another something he inherited from his father that allows Balis to heal faster then a normal human. Minor injuries take only a few minutes to several hours to heal completely while anything major can take from days to weeks. He is also able to withstand some minor and mild doses of toxins and immune to mild cases of disease.
Longevity- Due to being a demi-god Balis has a much longer life span then a shi'ar or human, allowing him to look in his prime for several more years before he shows signs of aging. At the moment his estimated life span is unknown but it could be anywhere in the mid five hundreds or early six hundred years - Weaknesses:
-Balis wings may be flexible they are also very vulnerable as they can easily be injured, broken, or even easily removed by amputation so he often has to be very careful with them.
-Many of Balis' physical powers are heavily based on his physical condition and health for without good health or if he is ill he cannot function at his best.
-Though he is able to withstand many blows and has denser skin and slightly stronger bones they are still hollow and subjected to being more easily broken in some places.
-HIs solar manipulation, though he can absorb it, is limited to being able to be used for two days when not in the sun. But without contact with the sun or if he uses up all the solar energy he absorbs then this power becomes relatively useless.
-THough he has longevity and a healing factor Balis is still has the usual weaknesses of most humanoid beings,especially to stronger cases of disease and poison or even having major organs and bones taking fatal hits.
-Balis can withstand most heat but nothing above the maximum he can generate, not to mention water has been known to slow him down, the heat can take a heavy toll on his body if higher levels of heat are used for long periods of time, and sometimes has to be careful of those around him or even objects close by - Skills: Use in fighting with a bo-staff,mixed martial arts, Aerial acrobatics/combat,Knows at least three languages(english,greek,shi'ar), Archery(still somewhat of a beginner)
- History:When Apollo was disguised on Earth as a mortal man he happen across the shi'ar woman who was also disguised as a beautiful black haired human. The meeting was an intent attraction between the two that became a roman that lasted for three months, but during the last month the shi'ar woman discovered that she was expecting an egg, which due to a shi'ar's anatomy was the same in conjunction of a human female being pregnant. Without telling Apollo the woman left without much explanation, though by this time the two had long since revealed what they truly were. Within a few months Balis' mother laid her egg and over the course of ten years raised him on her own.
During those years Balis was taught not only the basics of human education to which he went to school but also about his shi'ar heritage, even the language. But it was also during this time he learned martial arts from his mother and took classes from a young age. By ten however Apollo had tracked down the family and confronted the alien woman he had as a consort for a time to figure out the truth. When Balis' mother came clean about who Balis was and telling Balis of his father it was quite a shock but none the less Apollo was pleased to know the truth and even approved that his son could prove to be a powerful being when he got older. As a gift Balis was given a gold pendant with a five pointed star in the middle.
After taking a short year and half to teach Balis some things of his olympian heritage, including to the point he was fluent in greek Apollo eventually had to leave. Once more it was Balis being raised by his mother and pushing to be the best of warrior and achiever in academics. Eventually at the age of fifteen Balis began to experience severe pain in his back, which eventually became so bad he wound up in the hospital for weeks at a time. Unfortunately the doctors were having trouble figuring out what was wrong though were more so perplexed by the boy's anatomy of hollow bones, his eyes lacking pupils, and signs of feathers in some places of his body. The inquiring though grew to make his mother nervous and soon decided to have Balis discharged from the hospital before anyone could push to perform tests, but not before at last that his wings manifested that resulted in a loss of much blood and blacking out. But eventually he awoke back home and seeing his mother looking quite surprised that he was showing avian features surpassing usual shi'ar anatomy.
Despite the concern Balis embraced this new power along with the already obvious powers he had gained since he was a baby. Many of his powers had already been evident through his training with his mother and various teachers or fellow martial arts students. So like anything else in his life the young shi'ar demi-god began training even more with his new wings until at eighteen he left on his own shortly after graduating high school. Moving away from his hometown of Rome, Italy he moved to the Americas to take his college there around the New York area.
That last two years Balis has gotten an apartment and been able to hide his wings and eyes behind a pack and glasses he has recently gotten his AA degree. He is also working to become a combat/martial arts instructor and is a assistant instructor at a small time dojo for part time. Still he has further sought the Avengers and has been once of the more recent members recruited in the last month or so.
