Location:Coffee Shop in Coopersville, Alaska
Time:12:30 pm
A soft sigh escaped the young red head as she sipped her coffee, her gaze on the snow capped mountains but distant. Hope had had a lot on her mind the last year, mostly of what her future would hold after being apart from Cable again. It was a rather warm day today so she was wearing a short sleeved green t-shirt along with jean shorts and sneakers, her hair resting along her shoulders and back. Though instead of spending her day around the house or hiking like she normally liked to do she was taking the day to be out and about town.
It was a small town like many in the state but at least it had become home. Today she had just stopped at the coffee shop and sitting outside, her thoughts wandering to different things. And she hardly seemed to be paying attention to her environment or anyone around her. Not that much happened around there anyway and there was little for her to really worry about save for the usual teen problems. Oh, and of course her being a mutant though it wasn't that easily revealed since she wasn't aware of any other mutants in the area. Or at least in a close range of her which left her mutant abilities pretty much useless.
With things so calm around Coopersville Hope began to wonder if she should consider traveling like she once did, just without going through time to time. Again though she would have to think about her future soon and she was getting close to graduating from her current high school. Shaking her head she took another sip of her coffee and once more was drowned into her thoughts and unaware anyone who might pass or approach her.
But it seemed after some time, even long after finishing her coffee, she sat there with deciding what to do exactly. Though she could recall her adoptive father always encouraging her to look forward to a better future, to finding the path that felt right to her, especially following her heart. With a few more minutes of thinking the young red head finally stood from her table, leaving from the coffee shop and taking the short walk to her house. Not surprising her mother was home for lunch along with her grandmother and both only had to take one glance at Hope to see she had her mind set on something, the same look Louise got clear in her eyes. After taking the last two hours to discuss her plans with her true family Hope was heading upstairs to pack all that she needed, putting on her suit she had arrived with a year ago and getting the last bit of money she would need to last her.
After checking and rechecking everything the young mutant was satisfied she had everything and pulled on her back after putting on her tattered cape. "Are you sure about this?"Louise murmured, looking with some slight concern with her daughter, despite the fiery, free spirit they shared. "I'm sure mom, I'll be just fine. And I'll visit when I get the chance."Hope reassured her, both embracing for a moment before Hope did the same with her grandmother and finally stepping outside the door. It was getting close to the mid-afternoon by now and Hope knew it would be a long, uncertain road ahead. "Time to see where I end up." She said to herself before taking that first step away from her home and onto the unknown.
