Koral looked around the city. She had been traveling for almost a year. She could have gotten here faster if she had flown the whole time. But she had been to afraid to fly to often. So she had spent much time walking only flying when she was sure no one would ever see her. And she would fly at great heights to keep hidden as well.
Now that she was here she had no idea what to do. She traveled through the filthy street's looking for a place to sleep. She was tired and hungry. She had no money left. She had stolen some clothes about a month ago. They had been hanging on a clothes line. The clean clothes where now creased and covered in dirt. She hid her wings behind a jacket that she had also stolen.
As Koral walked down a dark dank street she reached an abandoned building. She tried to pry the door open but it was boarded shut. Looking up she could see a broken window. Taking her jacket off she flew up to the broken window and climbed in.

Luna had been out and away from the X-Men in order to get some peace to her self. Though a city was a bit of an ironic part to it. The irony being that the city is loud, people where everywhere, and just about every piece of news was going on there. You could never hide yourself in the city, and Luna barely understood why some heroes enjoyed them. So she decided to head down towards the other areas that weren't as populated, using her camoflauge to hide her self, she managed to go undetected for some time.
However as she rested on one of the building tops, she looked down after seeing something move. A human? What was a human doing out on this part of the city? It did not seem like a place they would want to be. Too unappealing and cold for them at least. None the less, her curiousity got to her as she began to climb down the vertical wall with her microsuction discs that were on her feet, on the vertical wall almost making it look easily. But before she could say anything she noticed that the girl climbed into it, and could tell that she was certainly no human but a mutant. How else would you explain the wings?
As she jumped onto the other side of the building, she clung to one of the pipes that she thought was stable, but she was misjudged on it as the pipe started to creak with being unable to handle her weight. "Uh-oh." She thought to herself as she took a second to think about it, and lept for the window to climb in, the pipe creaked and snapped, before falling down into the city street. Making her fur stand up on end after hearing the loud crashing noise it made. Now she knew she was going to be spotted by the other mutant, but didn't exactly know how she would be reacted too.
For all she knew, her instinct was to run, but she spoke softly if the girl was still nearby, "Sorry about that." She said softly.

Koral looked around the abandoned building. There wasn't much in it anything of value had long been scavenged. Once she settled on the floor she put her jacket back on. She wasn't so much as worried about being seen in here but she was cold. She had just sat down in the corner of a floor when she heard a noise from outside. At first she thought it was just an animal wondering about. So she ignored it. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out her last granola bar. She was trying to decide whether she should eat it now or save it for when she was really hungry. But before she could make her decision a loud crash came from out the window. She jumped dropping the granola bar. Her eyes grew wide with fear. Maybe someone had fallowed her? She had to hide before it was to late.
The sound of a voice changed that, there was someone in the dark room with her. She looked to the window she had come in and screamed. There was some sort of thing by the window. She stepped back having forgotten all about her granola bar. "Wh-who are you? What do you want?" Koral's dark grey eyes scanned the room trying to find a way out. She didn't like being cornered. If she could just get outside she could easily escape. But the thing was blocking the way she had come in. She could run to the door and maybe find another window to get out. But who knew if ergh she could catch her. Better face her now! "What do you want with me?"

Figures, everyone was going to react this way. Was she a monster? The professor had told her that she wasn't one. But even more it confused her on who she was even more. She flinched hearing the girl scream as she backed away towards the entrance ready to flee if she had too. Yet she didn't even realize that she was blocking it for the other girl, only the thoughts of what she had done earlier had made her feel ashamed. She should have stayed and lept for the wall. Not for the building.
"I didn't mean to scare you. I don't even mean to harm you. I just noticed your wings. I am truely sorry for that. Honest." Luna said finally speaking up. But her ears were down almost flattened like a cat's would when they got upset. Though Luna was more frightened than upset at this point. Afraid of what may happen. What she did hear was the granola bar that Koral had dropped as she guessed where the noise had gone too as she went over, avoiding Koral as much as she could. And with her tail she grabbed onto the bar after spotting it and put it near where she could reach it.
"And I heard that fall. That's yours." She said wondering if this would change Koral's mind at all.

Koral frowned when the girl flinched at her scream. It was like her scream had hurt her ears. She must of had really sensitive hearing. She continued to stay back unsure of what the girl would do to her. Would she attack her? Or would she flee? She wasn't sure. But what ever she did she would be watching her closely for any sign of danger. She jumped when she started to speak again. "Well you did. You don't just sneak up on someone and expect not to startle them. And what about my wing's?" Well she seamed nice enough maybe she could lower her guard around her.
When she stepped forward she froze watching her closely. She was surprised when she picked up her granola bar and set it down closer to her. Koral waited a few minutes before picking it up and sticking it back in her pocket. "Thank you! I'm Aerobird," she wasn't ready just yet to give her real name to her. Not yet any ways.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean too." Luna apologized as she looked back at Koral and seemed a bit relieved. Though there was still that instinct that if she changed her mind, she would run at the first second she had. Though she felt even better seeing that Koral had picked up the granola bar that she had dropped near her earlier. Her body started to relaxe a bit more as she wondered what name to give to the new girl.
"And yes. I have a 'gift' well that's what my family says. I don't use it that often since I don't like it at all." Luna said as she looked back at Aerobird. She decided to give her real name instead of her codename. "Also my name is Luna. That's my real name." She said wondering if that had been a good idea to give it away.

Koral gave a week smile trying to relax some. She took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. "It's ok I guess, I'm just not used to being around people. I've been on the run for about a year now." She snapped her mouth shut. She couldn't believe she just said that. What if she told someone about her? She didn't have any where to go. Her parent's where dead and she had no other family.
"Well it was kind of obvious that you have a gift. What with the way you ugh look. Yea I can understand why you wouldn't want to use that word." Luna that was a nice name. If she remembered correctly Luna meant moon, at least she thinks it did. "Are there allot of mutants here? I've never met another mutant before." But how could she? Koral had done her best to keep away from everyone humans and mutants alike until today. She hadn't purposely tried to stay away from mutants. But she had kept away from town's and cities unless she needed to steal something.

She's been on the run? For that long? Luna sounded a bit surprised in her thoughts as she listened to what Koral had to say. She had considered going on the run her self at one point, that was until Xavier had stopped her. But she knew not to speak out about Xavier here now. That would be a bad thing since the school was so secritive. "You were on the run? I almost considered it. I mean who wants to be stuck in this form for the rest of their days?" She said as her ears were still flat again as she listened. "It's not surprising to me that much. It happens from time to time. Especially if your power or powerss don't help you that much."
"That's not all that I can do, climbing walls. I can manipulate gravity as well." Luna said as she spoke to Koral as well. She seemed to be a bit calmer now as well. And was glad that Koral was calming also. The last thing she wanted to do was harm another mutant, and not to mention it was against Xavier's code to harm other mutants in this time. Though she perked up as she heard her say something about other mutants. There were other mutants nearby, just some choose to hide as far as she knew.
"Yes as far as I know. I'm sure ther are other mutants out there. Probably a lot hide out of fear or of not wanting to be noticed by others. It happens." Luna said as her tail twitched a bit. It wasn't really meant for anything, just showing that she was alert. Even if there was a faint bit of curiousity with her inside her about this other mutant that she meant. Just maybe her own fears may disappear?

"I didn't have any other choice but to run when my parents where killed in the fire. It was either run or be passed around through the foster home's. No one wants a mutant in their house. It's no fun being on the run. You never know when you'll get your next meal. having to steal anything you need just to keep yourself alive." She wouldn't understand. No one ever would unless they had been on the run themselves at one time. "Oh it happen's more than once in a while I imagine. Kids run away all the time even if their not mutants. You here it all the time on the news."
Koral listened to what the girl said as she told her about her power's. She seamed to have some cool powers. To bad about her appearance. Koral could hide her wing's. Luna had no way of hiding the way she looked. "Well those are some cool power's. As far as I know I can only fly." Hearing that there where mutants in the city made her think. Maybe she could find a couple that could help her out. She was tired of being on the run. She wanted a home again.

"I lived in an orphanage for some time and the other kids got adopted immediantly before I did. Most of them took one look at me before having some slight of fear or anxiety. So when the days rolled by I kind of gave up almost in trying to find a human family that would take me in, but one did after awhile." Luna said understanding why Koral had to run at this point. But still she felt bad, Luna her self doubted that she would be able to stay out in the streets for long. If anything Luna would have at least hid underground to where no one would have found her. That way she would have been at peace and wouldn't have to worry about people constantly calling her a monster. As for being called a monster, the kids especially, she had yet to really find any friends her own age and if she did it didn't usually last long of a friendship. In fact she coul only remember one or maybe even two friendships back at the orphanage before there were families that took the chilren in.
"Well they're really not that cool. It's just something that I picke up one day out of the blue if you get what I mean. I guess the best way you can describe them is something similar to telekinesis." She added. Though she did at least know of one other mutant on the team that could fly, wings were very common these days when it came to mutations. The one that she knew was Angel, having met most of the staff members over the weeks that she had been there. She starte to learn who had what power and of course a variety of other knowledge as well. "Still flying's pretty cool also. I mean you can see everything up in the air or even go where you want to and avoid all the people down in the streets." Luna added.

Koral frowned and that was exactly what she didn't want. To be teased and taunted because she was a mutant. "It must have been hard on you growing up feeling unwanted. At least I spent most of my life with my parents before..." She missed her mom and dad so much. She wondered how they would have reacted if they knew she had turned into a mutant. Would they disown her? No she couldn't believe that she refused to. Her mom and dad loved her. "So who eventually adopted you?" Koral was glad that at least one person had a happily ever after by the sound of it.
"Don't sell yourself short, your powers are really neat. And yea I know what yea mean." She wished she had a few other powers. Like Luna. All she could do was fly and not very good. "Yea but I'm not very good at it. I'm a little scared of heights so I only fly when I have to and than I can only fly short distances. I tire easily. So you can see my mutant power is pretty week and not much use."

"Well their last names are the Airhearts. They told me that they were just looking for one child and saw something unique about me. And so they picked me, I guess out of all the others. And as you probably guessed I don't have another sibling." Luna said as she nodded. It had been hard, living in the shadows and watching the other kids as they played, only to be picked on or be frightened by the other kids that were their. Either way she kind of got used to the orphanage and being left alone.
"I'm still the same way I guess, don't know everything about my power, and it's still the very basic. But I'm sure the same will come for you. Don't give up, I'm sure you'll be an excellent flyer one day." Luna said with a soft nod. It would have felt great to fly probably, instead of being grounded all the time. Of course if you were used to the ground, the last thing the individual wanted was to be up in the air. Or if they had a fear of heights like Koral had mentioned, that would rule it out all together as well. She knew of Angel and wondered if Koral joined their school, maybe the angelic mutant would be able to help her. He had wings and was very impressive when he flew. But she knew better than to mention her school in front of a complete stranger, it was meant to be a secret unless Xavier had some interest in them. Then again that could all change maybe with Koral. She was in the same position, maybe even worse than hers was.

Koral heard what her adopted parents last names where and arched an eye. Airheart like Amelia Airheart? What a weird last name but she wouldn't say anything. 'Well at least you have a family that loves you." Just than Koral's stomach gave a loud growl. She grumbled embarrassingly. "Umm sorry, it's been like three days since I've had anything real to eat." She thought about eating her last granola bar but decided against it. She would wait until she really needed it.
"Oh I don't know about that I'm sure you can control your powers quite well. After all you did sneak up on me with out me noticing. I don't know about that. Especially when I'm afraid to fly." She wished the girl would leave. She was tired and wanted to get to sleep. She had a whole day of foraging tomorrow. maybe she would be lucky and find some money to buy a hot meal. At the thought of sinking her teeth into a double cheese burger and fries her stomach gave another loud gurgle and she couldn't help but lick her lips.

Ooc: Just so you know, you used Luna's name I think instead of Koral's. I think that's what you meant. C;
Bic: "It's alright I just wish there was someway I could help. I feel bad just leaving you here." She said wondering if it was best now to leave Koral be. She seemed like she had things to do, an well she did enter on her area by accident. She would probably get back home soon as well before the other members in the mansion started to notice that she had disappeared.
"I didn't mean to sneak up on you. It was by accident. I think that had just been by chance that our paths had been crossed. But it is true sometimes from what I know, neyaphems are pretty silent. But thank you. I certainly try with my gravity manipulation on occasions." She said wondering if it had been a good idea to mention her specie's race. Though Koral may have a whole lot more questions to ask about her now being that she mentione it. None the less she would try to answer them as best as she could.

PROF. XAVIER
Using his powers of the mind he checked up on Luna to make sure she was safe. Like he did with all his students when they left the school. He discovered she was with a strange mutant. Listening for a while it was decided. So he spoke into Luna's mind, "Bring the girl to the school but be careful no one follow's you." With that he disconnected the connection and alerted the teachers that a new student would be arriving.
KORAL
"Not much you can do it's ok. I'm used to it. To be honest having been on my own for a year makes me weary of being around others. It feels weird." She didn't know why she was talking to this girl so openly. Maybe because she was a mutant like her? She felt safe talking to another mutant. But at the same time she was scared and nervous. Besides it's not like they could ever become friends. Luna had a family and she herself never stayed in one place for long. Yea Luna had, had a rough start. But now she had a family that loved he.
"It's possible that our meeting was just a big accident. But I don't believe in accidents. Neither did my parents. They believed everything was fate. Meaning it was supposed to happen for some reason or another. Still haven't figured out why my parents had to die in the fire. But maybe that was just an accident. Who know's," she gave her shoulders a shrug.
