Time:2:20 pm Location:Around one of the small lakes
Horus yawned a bit as he reclined slightly in the bench, hands clasped behind his head as he gazed at the lake. His wings were carefully placed so he would be comfortable and there was few people passing by his spot to really gawk at the light hued copper colored leathery wings. Just the way he liked it.
The draconic mutant had been there for little over an hour, just taking some time to relax in New York. He hadn't been there for little over a year since his last visit, though it had been about five years since he had last seen the X-men. He really had no reason to take a time to visit them and it just would be hard to leave again. It always was. Horus though was content to stick around in Central Park, one of the few relaxing places away from the concrete jungle. His posture showed just how relaxed he was, as if he didn't have a single care in the world despite all the dangers of being a mutant out in the open brought.
Still being what he was didn't deter him for trying to have a normal, easy going day. His gaze, covered by a pair of shades with unusual copper colored lenses, was fixed on the water, briefly catching a shadow of movement from the water thanks to some small fish. But it only made him smile before his attention would be caught by an occasional duck swimming or person passing by.
Overall it was just a beautiful sunny afternoon, warm and a light breeze. After a little while longer Horus finally leaned his head back into his hands and closed his eyes, for once paying little attention to his surroundings and the fact anyone could be coming along.

"Get out side, she said. Go out for once.' She doesn't need to be the boss of me." Quicksilver muttered to himself as he had been a bit down since the days of his unsuccessful marrage and Wanda had been trying to chear him up. But it showed that there wasn't much use in cheering up himself so far in the past few months. Though he was too stubborn to admit it, but he did like the weather and how it was for the decent afternoon. He hadn't bothered going super fast for this time around as he kept it slow. Which he realized was a bit ironic.
As he walked the streets he came across Central Park. It wasn't that busy or anything or even that overly crowded, which relieved him. Since he would have avoided it if it was, he was in no mood to talk to strangers. So he walked in looking around to see who was here. As he continued, he did spot one person that was a bit farther away. For some reason he had an odd feeling about this person and wondered what was up.
So he decided to see what was going on. He took off with his super speed and reached out for a nearby tree that was near Horus. "Uh there's hardly anyone in the park except for a few. And I came across one of the few as you." He added as he looked down at his hand as one was resting against the tree. "The name is Quicksilver by the way. I'm a member of the Avengers so you won't have to worry about me cutting you into pieces. That's not me anymore." He said as he spoke faster than normal as he looked back at Horus. All a thanks to his super human speed phsyology.

Horus tilted his head slightly when he heard Pietro stop a few feet away, sitting up straight then as he let his arms fall to his side then. He had heard much about the speedster mutant, not unlike many in the world who knew the reputation of many of the members of the Brotherhood that had once been around. "Well it's nice to meet you Quicksilver the names Horus, but sometimes I go by Brass-scale for my codename."He greeted kindly, even managing a smile.
Quite honestly he didn't care what Pietro's past use to be, sometimes people could change and he could vouche for that. Especially considering he had once been under the control of Mister Sinister, someone well known in his own right for his genetics research and experimentation. It made him inwardly cringe to recall even thinking of his suppose to be master, even having the tattoo to prove it that was on his arm-a vine like pattern in diamond shapes running around his left bicep and something he wasn't willing to go into a painful process of removing it. Perhaps he could always get a cover up but still he knew it would be no use.
Standing he carefully spread his wings out in a long stretch before folding them once more. "So what brings you out to Central park? A nice day? Someone forcing you out? Or just something to pass the time?"He inquired.

Pietro nodded as he looked back at Horus, the second one had been the answer, Wanda had wanted him to get out of the Avenger's mansion and get a breath of fresh air. Which he did on occasions, but he thought there was more too it than just 'getting a breath'. Whatever it was, she didn't want him to be around, and never said anything more than that. "It's the second one there. my sister asked me to go out, by myself." He added still showing a bit annoyed on how he was towards it.
In all his protests he still had been forced out of the Avenger's mansion, not entirely sure what to do once he got out or where to go on the city streets. Pietro didn't have much of a life out there, because of the humans. He disliked to this day to have much contact with them. And the only ones that he did trust were on the Avenger's. Other than that he didn't care much for them and didn't want to interact with them. But something in him had a feeling that Horus wasn't exactly human, and that with the hint of giving his codename, he had to be a mutant. But what kind? It made him curious at that. And if Horus had seen earlier, he would have caught Quicksilver's power.
"But yeah I live not far from here at all so coming to Central Park is pretty easy." He said with a soft shrug at that point. "And it's a nice place to get away too if you want to avoid the city."

Horus couldn't help but chuckle slightly at Pietro's answer, having only seen he had gotten a very lucky guess that the speedster was forced to come out here against his will. So maybe there was one benefit of being an only child, least so he thought. "Well guess I'm lucky to be an only child because I came out here of my own free will." He said with a slight laugh, quite unaware that in fact he was just the youngest sibling to the Maximoff twins. Of course he had no idea of their connection, nor of his connection to Magneto considering Sinister had kept him in the dark.
Though unlike Pietro Horus really didn't mind the humans, having grown to be able to ignore their hostile or gawking gazes, just preferring to mind his own business. And indeed he was not a common human but in fact a mutant as well. As he stood Horus extended his wings outwards slightly, more of a type of stretch as they spread to their full 10 feet on either wing before he folded them again, more of also to reveal to Pietro he wasn't just a man enjoying the park but also a mutant. Though another thing Quicksilver might would notice is that Horus had yet to remove a pair of dark grey shades with copper colored lenses from over his eyes despite the fact the sun not even being in their eyes.
"I can imagine so Pietro, I mean you live with the Avengers so that's like a quick stroll without your powers."Horus said with a slight nod. "As for me, I'm just having a brief visit here in New York, you could say it's a little bit of a home still. I once use to be part of the X-men student body so."He said with a slight shrug.

"Lucky you is right. Though I kind of think this is more of pay back if anything. I was protective around her and still am to this day. And this is her way of getting back to me as 'being forced outside.'" Pietro said knowing that he would have normally gone against his will and stayed inside the mansion. He was at least glad for one thing that the weather wasn't hectic. There wasn't a bad storm, a tornado, or even a snowstorm coming their way. Otherwise he would have refused to go outside completely at that point. The sudden change in weather was one thing that he didn't like all the time.
"But I was right, I thought there was something different about you than most of the humans that are here. Those wings certainly don't belong to a human at all. If anything I'd say more draconian like for a guess." He added as he did seem a bit surprised. Of course, on the other side it wasn't unusual at all for mutants to have scaly looking like bodies, not to mention there was a couple of them out there that were villains that he did not like to this day-and was lucky that he did not pick a fight with them every day. However he had not really considered the glasses just yet, it seemed normal in fact too, being that Scott Summers from the X-Men wore them almost constantly to help with his power, it didn't bother to him that Horus could probably read his aura right now. In fact it was clear that the past was still troubling him, and may have been very well radiating off of his aura as he spoke.
"Yes it is. Even faster than taking a bus or even a car. I don't even use those now a days unless I have no other choice." He added with a soft nod. But he was surprised, how did he have a connection with the X-Men? He knew his own family only had maybe one or two members on the team. But he doubted that Horus would know who they were being that they were fairly new to it. "Well that's interesting. You don't exactly look like you would be a part of the X-Men. But no offense on it at all. It's just my first thoughts on you." Pietro said as he looked back at Horus.

"That's right, the wing manifestation is only part of my draconic traits plus I can take on a dragon like form. Comes in handy to have a durable armor sometimes."Horus said with a slight nod, a little surprised that Pietro caught on that the mutation was to more then it appeared but he assumed the slightly older mutant had experience with some of his kind. None the less he was glad he didn't have to explain what else it could be to besides just a wing mutation. Though he didn't yet confess that he also had Aura manipulation powers.
And one of those sub-powers was his Aura Vision to see the emotions of others. The meeting so far with Pietro was no different, the light blue that radiated around Pietro gave him enough that it showed he was upset and troubled by something but also there had been a brief light brown mixed in when the older mutant had shown some surprise before but now it was slowly leaving to just the light blue. Horus though wondered what it possibly could be.
Though he smiled as he nodded,"Because I never was a full member of the team just a former student who left after he turned nineteen. I didn't really feel like my place was among them, least not yet so I left to seek the world and find my place in it just like everyone else but so far nothing yet."Horus explained.

"Although flight's not exactly for me. I doubt I'd be able to handle the air that well. That's why I'll stay on the ground probably for a good chunk of my life." Quicksilver said knowing he had always been a flast footed mutant, and probably would die as one as well.
"Oh that's why. I never wanted to be a part of the group. Especially with knowing who my father is. Many wouldn't exactly accept me and my sister with open arms." Quicksilver said still unaware of his aura ability. As he looked back at the water where the ducks and the occasional fish had been in the lake. It was an impressive one to be honest, a large one right smack dab in the middle of a city. Though he noticed that some silver strands of his hair had fallen infront of his face again as he moved them back after moving his head in a position to the right in order to keep it from falling again. He managed to get it to go back in place again so his vision was better.

"That doesn't surprise me, someone with superspeed would likely need to be on the ground to function unless they were flying."Horus said with a nod, and would have found it odd to see a speeding mutant in the air unless it was for them to do so. So far he hadn't seen any speed related mutants who could fly, least not yet. But then again it had been five years since he had been with the X-men so it was possible they had a mutant like that.
Horus though could understand why Pietro wouldn't want to attempt with the X-men but as far as he knew they would have been willing to take anyone despite who their parents were. But of course he hadn't exactly told the X-men of his own true origins nor of how he ended up by himself. Quite frankly he had just said it was complicated and they left it at that since they knew he wouldn't give into their questioning. At this rate he guessed eventually he would but not now. "You know Pietro your kind of lucky you know your father at least, far as I know mine abandoned me and my mother but she died during the birth."He told him.
Now came the rough part of possibly having to lie about his past. How was he suppose to tell someone he had been raised by the genecist Sinister?

"Yeah no plans for me, thank you." Quicksilver said glad at least Horus understood. The last thing he even wanted to do was ride a dragon or draconic like mutant. He was sure he was going to be in for a bumpy ride if that was going to happen. Another reason to stay on the ground and his own two feet.
Pietro shrugged, for awhile he had just been in the position that Horus was in. Neither his sister or even himself knew who their father was, and to be honest he thought it was better if it stayed that way. THey would have never known that Magneto was their father, and as the saying goes...sometimes the truth hurts. And it certainly did this time as he thought about his reaction of learning who is father was. "To be honest I wish it was the exact opposite sometimes. Magneto's not exactly a 'father figure,' I haven't even spoken to him in months since we left the Brotherhood." Quicksilver said as he spoke from his own expierence about having interactions with his father, in case there was more than one occasion where Magneto had attacked Pietro out of rage, and it wasn't his own fault. "My foster parents treated me far better than he ever did." He muttered.

"You at least have parents Pietro, whether it's Magneto or your foster parents your a lot more lucky then you might think."Horus told him, knowing quite honestly the speed mutant and his sister Wanda were quite lucky. He had never known his mother due to her dying at birth and his father he would never know since he only knew the DNA 'donor' was what made him possible to be alive today. Quite honestly there were times Horus wished he had died the same time his mother was and had to not endure everything Sinister forced him to do. It just hadn't been right.
Forcing himself to relax a bit Horus turned his gaze to the ground as he removed his shades, rubbing his dark brown eyes a bit since they hurt getting the twitching itchy feeling before he put his shades back on. Though there was a slight squint from the action since the sun made his eyes hurt more then he wanted them to from the bright light. It was just a drawback he had to deal with due to the aura vision.
"You know though Pietro you certainly seem like a nice guy, nothing like those over exaggerated rumors and news stories tend to blow out of proportion. Unfortunately they aren't the most trustworthy of things."Horus said, hoping to at least lighten up the mood again hoping it might cheer Pietro up a little from him feeling the way he was. Horus actually wondered if his past was what bothered him so much right now but there was no telling until him and Pietro would be willing to reveal more to each other. Yet the draconic mutant was no where near ready to tell a soul.

"Thanks Horus." Pietro said as he did feel a bit better and rubbed the back of his head where his white hair started to come to an end. He still knew that there were some Avengers, not many but there were some who still treated as if he was like his father. Sure he had a bit of an aggressive side and a protective one but that seemed to have run in the family, like his father before him he had been protective of his own mother Magda who he never met except for the first day he was born. Of course when you're an infant the memory of a child at that age isn't very good at all, "Still I never met my mother. The first day that I 'met' her was when she brought myself an Wanda into the world. Other than that she vanished according to one of the stories that I found on my travels."
"But yeah I don't exactly listen to gossip these days some stories are so ridiculous you can't think that it would possibly happen." Pietro said shaking his head as he thought about it. There were many stories out there, many of which he was not fond of at all. Which was were many of them put him to shame or annoyance because they were nothing but false lies. So he knew not to dwell on them forever.
However he did wince as he felt his crystals on his chest, he had those things there since the day that he lost his powers. It had been a horrible few weeks of when he was no longer able to run at top speeds. So he rubbed them to try and get the shards to stop agitating his skin with his arm. It was strange in a way, but he had gotten used to them and still they bothered him. Another thing that helped remind him of his past.

"Your welcome Pietro and stories that are just passed around as rumors aren't always something worth listening to. Some may be true but more times then not they are just a bunch of crap." Horus agreed, glancing back towards the water for a while as he watched the fish and ducks swimming around, seeing an aura of content about them compared to Pietro's sadness. Though it seemed to be changing to a much more relaxed one which was a good thing though still it wasn't likely to change in two minutes.
But he noticed Pietro wince and brief new color show around his not-yet-known half brother of slight pain which made him concerned. "Are you alright Pietro?" He inquired, wondering what could be causing him so much pain all of a sudden or enough he would wince and rub his chest. Though the thing was he wasn't aware of the terrigen crystals that were embedded in his chest nor of what had caused them to be there in the first place.

"I'm fine it's just..." He sighed wondering if he should show Horus what he was talking about. The thing was he had never really told anyone about the terrigen crystals he had. Only Wanda knew. He was sure no one else knew besides her, and not even his father he had told about them. His father was a different subject, he had hated and liked him for different things. But he wasn't ready to show him the crystals yet. There was certainly trouble behind that door if he did tell his father. He felt like he could trust Horus, not with everything, but he'd give him the basic story in a nutshell. He inhaled heavily as he realized that it slowly turned to a sigh, "Well it was awhile ago already but I had recently lost my powers and was desperate to get them back in any way shape or form. I discovered that there was a cavern where I was at the time that was covered in terrigen crystals. And the Terrigen Crystals are known for giving humans abilities, or even non mutants abilities. It doesn't matter who you are. And I went in side to try it myself after a couple of thoughts about it. It didn't seem to work right away but it does. And it also comes with a side effect of hurting myself on occasions. I don't really know how to stop it but just suffer through it." Quicksilver said with a soft shrug as he told Horus his tail. "And that's pretty much what happened. He added as he pulled down his shirt a bit wondering if he had gone too far to show him the crystals that were on the top part of the chest. They had a soft glow as they had the sunlight reflect off of it. "Those are the shards pretty much that I recieved."

Horus looked at Pietro as he began his tail, eyes widening slightly when he saw the crystals that were embedded in the older man's chest. His own chest began to hurt just thinking about having any sort of crystals in them, regardless is they had some kind of special powers or not, it just was a painful thing to think about. But it was very disheartening to hear the speedster had once lost his powers though at the same time he wondered why Pietro would want to risk this in order to get his powers back. Was it really so bad to be human?
"It sounds like it had been a risk just to try that Pietro, I mean no offense at all but could it really have been worth it?" Horus asked, hoping he wouldn't offend the man or make him annoyed at the question but it was a genuine one and he was a little concerned that maybe those Terrigan Crystals could cause some serious damage later on. They may not now but surely sometime eventually they could certainly. But it wasn't like Horus could really object to him keeping the crystals, it seemed they were now a part of Pietro like he had had them all his life.
