Pietro had wander away from the Avenger's mansion in New York to follow another purpose of his. Since the past few weeks had come to like one of the younger super heroes out there, but there was a problem. There was part of his past that sometimes still haunted him as he tried to get over it. The fact that he had once been an enemy to the X-Men still came to his mind many times, but that was a long time ago as he was getting a bit braver as the day went on. The speedster had easily climbed over the wall that protected outsiders from coming in as he came to try and see if he could find Carol within the grounds of the mansion.
The next part was the hardest, he wasn't exactly a tree climber and on top of it he was aready nervous from being up so high. He hated heights especially on planes. Buildings he could handle just fine as long as he didn't get near the edge. 'Okay maybe this was a stupid idea. I know Tony will agree with that one.' Pietro said as he felt his legs shaking a bit but continued on as he tried to find a branch to climb and hold onto. However he winced as he heard a branch snap underneath his weight as he gasped trying to hold in as much air as he could.
He closed his eyes pretty fast as he felt his body fall to the ground and landed with a sharp thud as he hit the earth. Wincing from the pain as it took his side. Only now he could wait a few moments before it would subside as he felt his lungs only stung with pain. The worst he could have done was broken something, though he doubted it since he had super human durability. He probably bruised a muscle or a part of his side. 'You really did it this time, uh Pietro? You'll be a laughing stock if anyone saw you do that...' He trailed off as he started to get some of his breath back and his lungs were starting to feel a bit better.

Kitty or Shadowcat as she was known was outside enjoying a nice sunny day. Though she was in her uniform as she was training some students earlyer that day. Though just as she was about to go back inside alarms went off indcateing there was a intruder on the grounds. Kitty then took off running to look for the intruder. Luckly she was not to far from where Pietro was. ducking under tree branches and jumping over logs Kitty come apon Pietro. Her eyes grew wide when she saw him, then anger started to come to her. Yes she had heard the speedster had turned a new leaf leaving the brother hood and joining the Avengers. But that did not change what he had done in the past. She still hated him for the things he had done."What are you doing sneaking in here Pietro... You will leave now if you know what's good for you." Shadowcat threatend. She did not care for the reason he was here... But it seemed he was trying to sneak in, and in her books that was not a good thing.

"That's exactly what I was...going to...do. Once I catch my breath...back..." Pietro said as he stiffened after hearing who it was. So it had been a mistake coming here as he looked up to see Kitty. She had gotten a bit older but they all had in the previous few year. "Before you go on lecturing me...I just came to say I'm sorry..." He said still on the ground trying to recover from before. He was starting to feel a bit better but it was going to take a bit. He knew that Kitty wasn't the only one that hated or even disliked him as being a Brotherhood. He knew if he tried to explain his reasoning for being a part of the team no one would probably listen. The fact that he had been forced and intimidated would never cross their minds in coming to the man that is one of the most feared on Earth.

Kitty's eyes did not soften as Pietro spoke at first. But then he said it, he said sorry. Kitty's eyes softend just a little. Though the word "sorry" would never take away all the things he did to her and the other X-men. But also seeing as Pietro was now a hero attacking him would not be a good idea and would be even worse seeing he was down. Still not liking Quicksilver Kitty let out a sigh and walked over to him and held out her hand. " Sorry wont change what happened... And it would have been better if you came through the gate..." Kitty said in a annoyed tone. "Why are you here?" Kitty asked.

Pietro looked away seeing that her tone hadn't changed at all and refused her hand. He could get up on his own he did have his legs after all as his stubborn side kicked in. He shut his blue eyes for a bit as he thought about it for a few seconds on why he had come there, "I was looking for someone...Carol Evergreen...I doubt you knew this but a few days we created a mind link some how...and I suffered a migrane for about three to two days from it. I now realized that even fifteen years from then you and others still haven't changed one bit.... I don't need your help to stand." He replied back a bit harshly. Yet he wondered at this rate if he could ever come back to the X-Men with these feelings of hatred and the eyes of the older members always glaring at him. Sure some forgave him, but he knew that there were some just like Kitty there too.

Kitty gave a shocked look when Pietro said that he and Carol a student here fromed a mind link together. Well that was news to her. Though she frowned when Pietro refused her help. Fine that would be the last time she would try to show some sort of kindness to him. If he wanted to start off on the right foot he should have let her help him. Kitty then took a few steps back and crossed her arms. " No I did not know that.. And I'm not sure about that... fifteen years ago I would not have even offered to help you up... " Kitty said in a softer tone sounding a little hurt. She may not like the guy but she would not just walk away if he was hurt.

"I doubt even if I hadn't been apart of the Brotherhood you still wouldn't have given me help. But unlike you, I had no choice of joining a team way back in the past." Pietro said as he started his attempt to try and stand. This was getting no where, they were going to start an argument and he had to get out of here before it got worse. But as he stood he winced feeling his side, as a sharp pain continued to him. As he was stubborn he ignored it the best he could as he took a step, but only tumbled over again as it nearly took his breath again away as his face hit the ground. He was starting to wonder now if he injured one of his ribs like maybe bruised it, it didn't feel broken but that was the only thing he could think of. "Ow!" he called out but it was a bit hard from earlier.

Kitty blinked when Pietro said he had no choice of the team he joined all those years ago. What did he mean by that? though before she could ask Pietro tried to stand up only to fall on his face. Kitty sighed and face plumed. Ok rather Pietro liked it or not she was going to help him. Kitty walked over to him once again this time not taking no for a answer. Kitty then helped Pietro up just a little. "Come on.. Lean on me and we can walk over to the school and see whats wrong." Kitty said. She was way shorter then Pietro but she had to try something."And I'm not talking no for a answer this time. I'm stronger then I look you know." Kitty said and could not help but smile a little.

"Fine. But as soon as I get the okay to go I'm leaving. I can already tell that I overstayed my welcome here." Pietro said though his voice had gotten less stubborn and harsh time as Kitty picked him up. He was surprised to see how strong he was, as he weighed at least over one hundred sixty pounds, someone was bound to struggle with his weight if they didn't have super strength. "But my guess is I probably just bruised something at this rate." He said as he carefully brought his legs up to stand up. But as he started to walk it only hurt each breath he took so they ended up being a bit shallower than normal in order to avoid the pain.

Kitty Kitty grunted just a little as she helped Pietro. But she was not going to give up on helping him. Though she did wonder how long it would take for the students to notice them. As they slowly made their way to the school Kitty looked up at Pietro. What he said earlier was bugging her. "Pietro.. What you said earlier is bugging me... What do you mean you where forced to join the brother hood?" Kitty asked, if there was a misunderstanding through the years she wanted to know. Even when she was younger she seemed to have the gift of empathy. She has always been able to understand the feelings of others and always tried to best to help people feel better. Though soon she heard Xavier's voice in her mind, talking to her and Pietro. "Professor??"" was all Kitty could say in shock. Xavier "No Pietro, you are always welcome here." Said Xavier through Telepathy. he had been listening in but said nothing till Pietro said he had over stayed his welcome. Xavier was not one to turn someone way for their past. If they changed their life around he would always welcome them. I shall meet up with you both soon." Xavier said before going silent.

Pietro flinched a bit from surprise as Xavier touched is mind, sure he would have been used to it but he didn't care much for the telepathy but he got the message from the Professor loud and clear. As he looked back at Kitty after he was done he would have to explain his difficult past to her, "When my sister and I were still in Europe at the time she was constantly hunted down for being accused as a witch for her probability manipulation was set off course or she did something by accident. On one such occasion Wanda had accidently set one of the homes on fire as they started to form a mob around her. When I couldn't save her Magneto swooped in out of no where to do what I couldn't have done and saved her from being killed or injured by the mob. Since that day he felt like we owed him something and that was to join his brotherhood. So there you have it on why I joined him." Pietro said knowing it was a lot to take in at some cases as he fell silent. "But if the Professor wants us we better go see him..." He trailed off as he flinched again from feeling the wound again.

Kitty Kitty listened as Pietro spoke, it was a lot to take in there for Kitty said nothing. Though part of her wanted to believe it another part of her wanted to say he was lieing. But deep down Kitty knew Pietro was telling the truth. But there was nothing she could say that would make things better. But know she felt that she somewhat understood Pietro and now felt bad for the things he went through.. Though now she wished he and his sister would have reached out. If they had the X-men could have helped them.. Oh well there was no changing the past.. "I..I see.." Kitty said in a soft and understanding tone. Then nodded when Pietro said its best to go see Professor. Kitty then slowly helped Pietro into the school and into the medical room. There Kitty helped Pietro onto one of the beds. Xavier Soon after Xavier wheeled into the room looking at Kitty and Pietro. It seemed Kitty was in deep thought over something but he would wait for her to want to talk about it. Xavier then wheeled over to Pietro smiling he offered a hand for a hand shake. " Hello Pietro, its been a while. How have you been fairing? heard you have joined the Avengers." Xavier said trying to make small talk in hopes the young man would relax. He felt how uneasy he was being here seeing in the past he was a enemy. But that was in the past and Xavier was not going to hold any anger for Pietro. For he has been trying to change his life it seemed and that was something he could be proud of.

Of course back then Pietro or Wanda had not known of the X-Men as they were still being developed by Xavier. They really had no where to turn as they were forced to being put up with their father, who they had not known at the time was their actual parent until much later. But the odds of being an X-Man seemed hard to believe at this point. Sure he was a mutant and all but like many other things, it just didn't fit. He sat down on the medical bed and turned to look to see as the Professor arrive. He saw that he had brought out his hand to shake and brought out his own and shook it gently but there was a firmness in there. Maybe the very one that his father had when he shook hands with someone.
"It's nice to meet you, I guess." Pietro said sounding still a bit uneasy about this place as he glanced over at Kitty rather fast to see if she had any reaction towards them meeting so far. "Yes I did join the Avengers with my sister, when we heard that Tony Stark and Captain America put up some advertising for the team since they needed some new members." Pietro said but he didn't really seem to be in any mood for some details it was pretty simple that he joined the team that way. But a lot of the Avengers hadn't trusted him right away like the X-Men had.
