Settling in. ( Open)

It may have been a lucky day for Taylor that he was not alone in the training room, in fact one of the older Avengers, Balis, happened to be in a training session. Several rings were scattered about the course with several targets being at the ready or were flying ones he could aim for. In fact it seemed it might be a course fit for a large bird in a sense, and in a way it was.

With a steep dive Balis cam into sight, having come from a platform a few feet further up from Taylor as he easily swooped down, flying through the energy rings or performing some aerial maneuvers. At the same time he struck at a target or two with his bo staff or firing with his solar manipulation. He was doing this so as to keep himself well trained and well ready for combat, though his strength alone seemed to be able to smash the targets into smaller pieces then they should have been, something that even knocking the slightly reinforced steel towards the ground below.

Though as Balis came to the very top of the room several turrets set on safety fire surrounded the demi-god hybrid, aiming and getting ready to fire. Seeing he was surrounded Balis closed his eyes as he generated the heat inside him and as the shots were fired he let out a battle cry as he sent out a visible dark orange ring of a heat wave, stopping the energy fire and hitting the turrets as they blew from the overheat. This though caused the room to rise slightly in temperature to about 85 degrees. In a way the display might have seemed intimidating to most anyone but Balis was satisfied with the session and began to lower down.

Though that was when he noticed Taylor down below, seeing he might have very well watched the whole thing. "Oh well hello there, I didn't even see you come in."Balis said as he hovered a few feet from the ground, crimson feathered wings holding him aloft.

Balis had never seen this young teen before but it was obvious he must still be very new, Taylor seemed very nervous or scared in a way. It made the shi'ar demi-god frown slightly to see someone new so scared or uncertain of what he was allowed to do, but he assumed young Taylor had no idea he was fine. "No wait, your quite alright really. The training room is for everyone young man, even younger Avengers like yourself."Balis told him assuringly, feeling the temperature beginning to go down in the room before he landed behind Taylor and smiled.

"Though I have not seen you around yet, what's your name?"Balis asked curiously, folding in his wings as he rested one end of his bo staff next to him and tilting his head slightly as he pretty much towered over the boy. Again it would likely be intimidating and not help with the fact the young mutant was already nervous with the fact he had been spotted. Balis just hoped it wouldn't be like this for long.

"It's nice to meet you Taylor, my name is Balis Vantellio but some call me Sol."Balis said kindly, seeing the boy was still nervous and he could guess he was a little shy around others he had yet to meet. Though he felt sympathy for the younger Avenger who probably was not use to this kind of thing and probably still had a lot to learn and he could understand. Everyone was young at one point and learned to try an find their calling, sometimes it may not always be easy to settle into but eventually you learned.

Kneeling down on one knee so he was more towards Taylor's height he finally met eye to eye with him but Taylor might be surprised to find his eyes were different. Though they were shaped like human eyes they were a piercing icy blue that lacked any sight of pupils of any kind, which when angry could surely make anyone nervous. But these strange eyes only held kindness and Balis extended a hand,"I certainly hope I'm not frightening you too much young Taylor, I know my size can be a little scary to some."

Balis gently shook Taylor's hand before letting it go but only smiled when Taylor confirmed what he had been guessing,"No it's alright. We're all young and scared once in a while Taylor, no one is going to get onto you for that it just takes getting use to a new place and new people."Balis assured him as he stood back up, stretching his wings slightly before folding them to his back again. "So were you looking to trying to train with your abilities today? If so I can make this simply a field again, without the need for all the fancy stuff."He asked as Balis went over to the weapons rack and set his bo staff there for now since he didn't need it yet.

Balis chuckled slightly before he looked back at Taylor,"Trust me even if your not use to training or it wasn't your intention, it's always good to get some in to help maintain control and to further your skills."He said the younger Avenger, walking back over to Taylor as he gave him an encouraging smile. "In fact you don't even have to have a course if you don't feel up for it, just simply practicing is always more then enough. So on that note what is it you can do Taylor?"Balis asked, looking at the young human with a curious gaze.

Wind huh? Balis was curious to how Taylor could control the wind, having never heard of anyone actually being able to perform such a feat. And it seemed Taylor was right when he could as a wind seemed to pick up out of no where, the young mutant even able to lift himself off the ground a few feet. Well that was quite interesting and the young hybrid demi-god smiled,"Not bad at all Taylor."He commented, thinking the young man had some good potential with his powers. "In fact with enough training you might even be flying like me without wings."Balis said with a chuckle.

"Well the more practice you do the more stamina you build, but give it time and you'll be flying in no time."Balis said with a nod, knowing it would take time before others who did become capable of flight without using wings had to train just to accomplish it. But he looked at the training field as Taylor inquired about what he should try and had to think for a moment, wondering what might be best to try for the young mutant. When it came to wind it sounded like it could be similar to most element type powers but he certainly didn't want to tire the young boy out.

"Well it depends, is there anything you want to train with the most first?"Balis asked as he looked back down at Taylor. Maybe he wanted to learn to do something first the most rather then letting someone else choose it for him if not Balis would be more then happy to help him learn either way.
