"Calm down Torus I'm here." Tony said as he slowly came over to where they were and opened up the door for them after seeing the two arrive. The man beside Torus had been rather quiet not saying really anything, and it wasn't long before the doors opened and slid slightly before disappearing almost. Torus then flew in but waited for Kurtis to come on in if he wanted too.
"You'll never guess who we just fought Tony it was Carnage himself. he didn't look too happy when the fight happened of course." Torus said sounding half excited by this but Tony was surprised. As he spoke to Torus about the events that had happened thus far. It was interesting to hear what Torus had to say. Of course, one of Carnage's weaknesses was fire and that was what Torus' powers focused on, exactly like his father's abilities. "The last news that Spider-Man gave me was that he had been locked away. I guess the prison didn't keep Carnage in at all."
"But I wanted to see the person that you had brought here. I am glad that you managed to get Carnage away but I'm more focused on another task." Tony said as he looked over at Kurtis and came over to his side. "My name is Anthony Stark, and from what another friend told me...you're not exactly from this world. Is that correct?" Tony asked not entirely sure if it was good to let him know about Jarvis. It might as well have overwelmed him with new information that he had never heard of before.

When the door opened Kurtis turned to look and his eyes grew wide and he took a few steps back in shock. The man had a human head but the rest of his body was some sort of metal!! And his chest glowed, but he felt no evil in tha man so he did not attack or try to get away. When they went inside Kurtis followed and watched when the door was closed behind them. Kurtis said nothing as he used his eyes to look around. This was nothing like the houses in his time.. Just where and when was he?? Though when Tony spoke and walked over to him Kurtis out of habit stepped back. Though when he said a friend had told him he was not from this world, Kurtis eyes grew wide in shock and he took a few more steps back. Kurtis looked at Torus then back at Tony, " Y-yes... I'm not from here. How did your friend now this?" Kurtis said in a uneasy tone.

"His name is Jarvis. Because, he looked through a lot of records of our time that we currently have. Your name wasn't mentioned once in any of the files that we have in our databases or even from other places. It's like you're non exsistant. " Tony said but he noticed that he seemed to be nervous around him now. He wouldn't blame him though, he wasn't from this world so he may have not even seen a good portion of the things that were from it. "Don't worry I'm not completely made of metal. It's just a suit. My heart...it has a defect of where it doesn't work properly so I have to wear a certain item almost all the time. If I don't have it I'll die." Tony said wondering if he was doing his best to explain of what was going on.

Kurtis blinked as Tony eplained about his friend Jarvis and that he ahd tried to look him up but was not able to find anything. Kurtis said nothiing as Tony went in to say he was not metal but was wearing something that made him look like he was. All Kurtis could do was give a blank stare even when he spoke about his heart. Everything here in this time was over his head and he knew he may never undertand.. But know he did have a question that was not bugging him... If he was non exsistant what year was it? " I don't exsist? That can't be... What year is it? Please tell me what year is it?" Kurtis said though he felt he did not want to hear the anwer.

"It's the year 2027, you're a long way from home I'm afraid. I think you knew that though." Tony replied as he spoke back to Kurtis to answer what he had asked for. "Do you think you could describe what year you were in or if you know what it was? If you give us any clues at all it'll help our search in finding out more about where you were from." Tony offered. "We-my friends and I can do our best to bring you back to your time line. Here nearly anything is possible."

At the answer Kurtis eyes grew side and he paled as if he saw a ghost. Kurtis knees then gave out from under him and he fell to the ground. 2027... that was.... 300 years.... He fell through time 300 years??? his wife and child... They where dead... No could could not be happening. Kurtis then turned a shade of green and ended up throwing up. He could not stop himself. His body shoke as he started to feel weak from shock. Why... Why did this have to happen? Why?? Gasping after he was done throwing up Kurtis found himself unable to stand, "300 years... I fell through 300 years..." Kurtis said weakly.

"Jarvis do you mind doing a bit of cleaning up?" Tony asked as the computer went to work to clean up the mess that Kurtis had made with a smaller machine. It wouldn't be long before it was almost as good as new again. "You were back in the eighteenth century at least, 1700? That is a long time." Tony said as he came over to Kurtis' side to help lend a hand so he could stand up again or if he wanted to lean on him for support.

Kurtis was able to stand up with Tony's help but his legs will wobbled under him. He still was not feeling all that great. He covered his face with one hand and fought back tears. Everything was gone... Everything he cared for.. Even though Tony said he may be able to send him back someday he felt that was never going to happen.. "Sorry for the mess.... Oh my wife and child... They are gone...." Kurtis said still holding back tears not wanting to cry infront of these people. "I.. I need to sit down... Please..." Kurtis said weakly still covering his face with his hand.

"I'm sorry, I really am." Tony said as he let Kurtis hang onto him as he looked back at him. In a way he did feel very bad for Kurtis. He hadn't known exactly what it was like to have a family of his own. He had lost his parents at a young age and hadn't found a wife or even kids yet. But with this constant commotion of going on with the Avengers and trying to work out some sort of team, and co operating with SHIELD it was nearly impossible for him to settle down or even stop working so how could he bring forward a family with all that mess?
"If anything, I decided that you can stay with me in the Avengers building. It is a start and you will have a place to stay and live in while we work on things for you." Tony offered if Kurtis would take it. It was an entirely new world and it would take a long time for Kurtis to get used to it, or maybe he might never get used to it.

Kurtis then started to force himself to calm down, crying was not going to change anything. Kurtis then lowered his hand from his face and let it hang down by his side. He have to move forward and get used to this new world he was just thrown into.. When Tony offered to let him stay Kurtis nodded, " I will accpect that offer.. But.. I ask you don't try to send me back... It seems you are busy with lots of things... And could it could take a life time to find a way... Please don't worry about me.. I do not wish to be a burden..." Kurtis said as he felt some of his streagth return so he pulled away Tony and stood up on his own two legs. He then bowed to Tony and Torus showing respect. " I thank you for showing me kindness." Kurtis said truly greatful to them both.

"Of course not. I don't mind doing one more thing for you. I have a lot on my plate and some how I mangage to do more on occasions." Tony said as he moved to a better position so he could stand more comfortably and it looked like Kurtis could now stand. Torus meanwhile flew out of the building to see that the others were doing just fine. "Heay guys, I hate to really do this but I gotta go back to the Baxter building before my dad or mom screams at me again for being gone for so long. You know how parents can be sometimes." Torus said with a shrug as he looked back at Kurtis. "You'll have to come by and meet the other team members of my team one day, Tony can show you when he doesn't have his hands full or I can come grab you myself. You don't seem that bad, Kurtis."

Kurtis stood up again as Tony spoke and it sounded like Tony was still going to try to send him back home.. Though Kurtis knew it would most likely never happen.. But he was not going to protest if Tony was really willing.. Torus returned and said he had to go home Kurtis was a little sad but nodded, already seeing the young man as a friend for saving him from that alien. Kurtis then smiled when he said he would have to take him sometime to meet his team. "It would be a honer to meet your team." Kurtis said and gave another bow before stand up again. Though one thing was for sure... He had to be on gard seeing for whatever reason a killer ailen has chosen him for a target.. It was not a very good way to start out in this time zone..

"It was nice meeting you Kurtis and seeing you again Tony, even if it was very breif. See you guys later. I'm outta here." Torus said as he flew off into the city streets in order to head back to the Baxter Building that had been located in a nearby place in New York. Tony meanwhile smiled back at Kurtis, "We take all kinds of people in that want to help the Avengers or have some sort of affiliation with us. Even former villians live here as a matter of fact. Come on. No use just standing out in the cold, plus I need to get out of the armor before I sweat so much in it." Tony said knowing that at times it could be very hot in there on occasions. But often times he was used to it.

Kurtis watched as Torus left a little sad that he had to leave, though he looked at Tony when he spoke, the swordsmen nodded, and started to follow Tony. He did not know much about this world nor the people in it.. But it seemed there where kind people dispite the man who Kurtis deemed as evil that brought him here and that ailen for whatever resaon wanted to kill him.. Though he really did want to know what happened to his family.. Later he would ask if he could ask this Jarvis to helo him.. Though that did not seem likely seeing as this person could not find out who he was..

"Also I may have one more thing that might surprise you...you see my friend Jarvis is actually a machine. I built him when I was young and he has stayed with me ever since then." Tony said not entirely sure how well Kurtis would take the news. As they came in side. It seemed busy as always in here as there was a cluster of people inside. The Avengers, and students all in one room and plenty more probably others who were in the other parts of the building trying to study or learn. Or at least to escape the noisy floors above them. None the less, no matter what the case, the Avengers building was always bustling with activity.
