Kurtis blinked when Tony said that Jarvis was a machine and not a human. Again Kurtis did not know what Tony was talking about. He had never even heard of the word machine. All he got is that Jarvis is not human.. " What is a M..a..c..h..i..n..e???" Kurtis said slowly saying the word that was very alien to him. Though when they came in Kurtis was a little startled by how many people where here. Lots of young ones talking to each other or listening to adults. It was a little overwhelming but he just smiled and took in what was going on around him.

"It's kind of hard to explain Kurtis. Things have advanced a lot since the seventeen hundreds. But I can at least show you what Jarvis looks like. You can define a lot of machines having pieces of metal or other material and having an electrical source, kind of like having lightning to power them." Tony said trying his best to explain to Kurtis to use words he might be familiar with. He was walking through the crowds that were within the building with ease though he made sure he slowed down enough for Kurtis to follow. He may have not been used to this life as much as he was. Tony grew up in the city being used to all these people around but Kurtis may have not been. He also wondered how he'd be able to handle an elevator, then again it may have not been the best choice and it'd be better if they went down through the stairs. Since it wasn't that far down towards the lower levels of the baseent.

The crowds did not bother Kurtis much, as he was used to them. In his time he was seen as a hero and people would often talk to him when they saw him walking the streets or they would breing food over and stay for dinner. But when Tony tried to explain what Jarvis was all he could do was give a blank stare. Even though Tony had tried to put in terms he would understand it was still over his head. As he mostly worked on his swordmen ship then take note of what was being invented.. "Hmm... I still don't really get it.. But it sounds like hard work to tame lightning to it can power things up for you." Kurtis said as he followed Tony.

"Maybe over time you will, I know it is overwelming at first, I think for some of us we just grew up with it." Tony said as they started to make their ways down the stairs as he lead Kurtis even further down. "But yes it took humans a long time to harness the power of electricity or even realize that it was useful." It wasn't long before they got down into the basement of where Tony's workshop was and he began to take off his armor so his human appearance wouldn't bother him any more as he took the pieces off and it began to form a new shape beside him. "Jarvis can you appeare as a 'human' for Kurtis. I think he'd like to meet you." Tony asked as he probably didn't understand what a hologram as he was doing his best.
Then a voice appeared as a deep males with a semi british accent appeared in the area around him, almost like he was nearby. "Yes sir, Mr. Stark. Activating hologram projector." It took a few seconds for Jarvis to activate it fully but it wasn't long before another form came forward. It was how Jarvis would have been if he was a human. Seeing that he stood nearly six foot and seemed a bit muscular as well for the tasks that he had to do normally around the building he also wore a tuxedo to keep things formal.

Kurtis said nothing as he followed Tony down the steps and listened as he spoke, Wow so much had changed... For him it was a matter of minutes but for the world it took 300 years.. He was so out of place in this alien world.. When they got to onto Tony's work place Kurtis looked around in awe at everything that could be seen. It was truely like stepping into a new world.. Kurtis then watched as Tony took off his suit and blinked in shock at how smaller he looked when not in it. Then blinked when he asked Jarvis to come out, Kurtis waited then nerly jumped out of his skin when Jarvis appered. "G-ghost!!" Kurtis shouted and backed up to a wall his eyes wide with fear.

"No Kurtis. He's harmless, at least when I tell him to attack that is." Tony said with a bit of surprise to see Kurtis that way. "Come on. I promise everything is alright." He said as he put his hand out for Kurtis to step forward if he wanted to take it to lead the way. But he wasn't so sure if this was a good idea as he noticed that even Jarvis was concerned.

Kurtis looked at Tony as he spoke and told him that Jarvis was harmless and under his control and would not attack unless he said so. Kurtis then looked over at Jarvis and how he looked concerned. Though Jarvis not being human he could not read or feel his emotions.. But he then looked back at Tony and nodded, he then reached out and took his hand, he was willing to trust Tony that this ghost man was indeed on their side. "S-sorry... I.. I was just startled.." Kurtis said softly.

"It's okay it happens. Even Jarvis likes to sneak up on me from time to time." Tony assured Kurtis knowing that it was his way of having 'fun.' On occasions Tony had fallen asleep in the workshop instead of going straigh to bed. Jarvis was the only one left that would have to wake him up in order to go to bed. "Also for an introduction, Jarvis this is Kurtis. Kurtis this is Jarvis." Tony added as he looked back and forth between the two. "A pleasure to meet you Mr Kurtis. I do apologize for the scare earlier. That time I didn't mean it at all."

Kurtis gave a small bow in greeting when Tony interdused them. It was still a little unsettleing that Jarvis appered as a ghost but he was willing to look past that seeing he was friendly. " Its alright... I;;m still getting used to this new world.. though I fear I will never undertand everything.." Kurtis said as he looked at Jarvis. Kurtis then looked at Tony then back at Jarvis really unsure what to say now. Then Kurtits bowed to Jarvis again and then looked at him with a smile, " Though or first meeting was a little rough I do hope we can become friends Jarvis." Kurtis said not finding odd at all willing to become friends with a computer.

"You know you're not the only one that has had a similar problem like you did. Falling through a time that you're not aware of or don't even realy know. There's Captain America, he was frozen in time and it took him a long time to get used to the place. Maybe I could introduce you to him when he's not busy." Tony offered wondering if it was a good idea or not. Steve Rogers was a hero from the time of World War II. Since then a lot of things had happened to him as well. But Tony knew as well that it was going to take Kurtis a long time in this one to get used to it.
Then he looked back as he saw that Kurtis and Jarvis were speaking as he gave a soft nod of his own to acknowledge him. "Apology accepted Kurtis. Things sometimes don't always go as we plan and I'm sure we'll get used to each other before we know it. Come to think of it, I've had to put up with Tony for some time now so I'm sure you won't be a problem." "Heay." Tony said as Jarvis chuckled a bit. "I don't ask you to do everything." Tony added as he crossed his arms a bit unimpressed.

Kurtis looked back at Tony when he started to talk about Captain America. He did not know the name so he made his "Oro" sound as he listend. So he was not the only the out out of time.. But it sounded like this Captain America had a harder time of it being stuck in ice till he was found.. While he himself was just sucked into a protal and fell through time... To him it was just this morning he kissed his wife and child goodbye before going off to defete the boss of all the warlords.. Oh how he wanted to know what happened to them.. But at the same time he did not.. What if something bad happened and he was not there to protect them? It was not something he would be able to live with..
When Jarvis and Tony started talking Kurtis could not help but smile, indeed they talked and acted like they have been friends for a very long time. Teaseing each other like that. Tony looked like he was annoyed bit Kurtis could feel he was not. "It would be a honor to meet Captain America Mr.Tony." Kurtis said as he looked at both Jarvis and Tony and waited to see where Tony wanted to take him next.
