Charles Bernard Barton, Trickshot (done)

Personality: Charles is the older brother to Clinton, he always was jealous of his younger brother. Doing nearly everything he could to try and upstage him or show that he was better. On many occasions Clinton had outstaged him and taking the win while his brother failed. Bernard however remained as a villian and stayed with the Dark Avengers finding it rather enjoyable to bother and harm people instead of working with the heroes. After some much convincing with his brother and the disappearance of some heroes from the Dark Avengers, Trickshot eventually left to become a loner. As he always perferred it over working with teams. He has also made sure that he has sworn to Hawkeye that he would get revenge, however he hasn't even been aware yet that he has a nephew from Hawkeye.

Appearance Bernard stands at six foot three and weighs two hundred and thirty seven pounds. He has red hair and a cream skin. He also has a similar costume to Hawkeye's as he tried to blend in and make it look like he is Hawkeye. However the costume is red, and the only difference is that he wears a slightly different colored mask, making it black. Where it only covers his eyes, and doesn't go any further. His eyes are a deep blue and his hair is short as it is red.

History: Charles Bernard Barton or known as Bernard Barton had been born the first of the Barton Brothers, he was the eldest as the two soon learned to work in the butcher shop of their father's shop. Their father was not exactly the kindest of men as he constantly beat the two children sensesly as they tried to defend themselves, and their mother only watched. Harold's drinking problem soon was the end of himself and as well as his wife's as the two young boys were placed in an orphanage, with Bernard being at the age of 15 and Clinton at the age of 13. After having enough of the place hey fled and ran away. The boys eventually stopped at a traveling carnival where they would meet the original Swordsman and Trickshot, Swordsman had asked if they wanted to join in with the performances, but Barney declined and Clinton joined in without hesitation. Clinton had many successful shows while Barney continued to persuit of education and to get his G. E. D.

After awhile, Barney got fed up with the carnival after seeing Clinton get seriously injured against the Swordsman. He decided to leave at the first chance he got and headed towards the army. He asks Clint to join him but he declines as Bernard goes by himself to the waiting stop. Clinton tries to catch up with Barney but doesn't make it in time as it leaves without him.

After a successful few years in the army he joins as an FBI agent, one of the assignments was to go find a person named Egg head, where he first decline it saying that Egghead was a nutcase. However he gets the worst of the news as he finds out that Egghead has sent in a robot to try and paralyse all the Avengers, and he tries to set out first to find Hawkeye after he learns that his brother has been apart of the Avengers as well. After an unsuccessful fight, Charles decides to sacrafice himself against the robot as the others escape. Charles is assumed dead by the team, but little do they know that there is little signs of life within him.

The body had been taken away by Egghead after the Avengers had left as he realized that Barney was still alive. He tried to bring back Barney but was unsuccessful as Hawkeye killed him off. It wouldn't be long before Baron Zemo would find his body. With the accelorator he revives Barney back and with this he trains Barney to be a very successful archer with the help of the older Trickshot, nearly just as good as Hawkeye himself.

Even on Trickshot's dieing days he takes the body over to where the Avengers mansion is as a mansion for Hawkeye. Hawkeye eventually tracks down his brother and finds him as the two have a fight to the death. Hawkeye manages to best his brother in the fight, but while in it, Bernard proclaims himself as the new Trickshot, as the other one slowly fades and dies. Clinton was victorious that day but he could see that his brother fled from the area still surprised to see that he was alive.

For a short while Bernard was invited to stay with the Dark Avengers by Norman Osborn. He accepted it and stayed in the second reincarnation. There he fough his brother and the Avengers on several occasions, but after some time the Dark Avengers disappeared or disbanned. Whatever the case may be, Bernard quit them as he roamed on his own for nearly fifteen years still on the dark criminal side. Little did he know that his own brother had a son with Mockingbird. And will certainly be instore for a lot of 'catching up' to do with his brother.


Powers: None Bernard is as skilled as his brother is when it comes to arrows. He has several bows that he can bring to a fight and has several arrows that can be used for different things. His arrows include explosions, adhesive tape, suction cups, lines to travel on, electrical arrows, poisonous arrows, ice arrows, sleeping gass arrows, and fire arrows to name a few.
