"Sir don't you have things to do back in the lab?" Jarvis asked as Tony gave a soft sigh. Yes he was well aware that he had things to do. But even Ironman needed a breath of fresh air in order to get away from some of the stress that was going on back at Stark Industries. He had pretty much recovered from the Phoenix Force attack as the building was being brought back to normal. They found the missing girl and on top of that he had managed to find some time with Yuki. Even Yuki had shown some light towards him that he had not seen before in her. It meant one thing for sure, he knew that she could defend herself in battle and could trust her. But he had wondered one other thing, why hadn't she joined the Avengers fully? It would have been great for her to be around, then again she was still worried about what might happen in the future to come. Someone might try something on her like Doom had, and Tony wouldn't hesitate in order to try and rescue her.
"Jarvis even busy guys like me from time to time need to play hooky." Tony said knowing that Jarvis was right about one thing. But it was true that he had work to do but he also wanted some time to himself. A breath of fresh air for about an hour probably wouldn't stop anything. He knew that he could have a break as of now as he flew through the main area of Time Square as it seemed as busy as ever. Well that was normal for New York and nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary here.
"But as always everything seems normal. Not a bad guy insight." Tony said as he continued to scan the area with his suit. He was wearing the familiar black and gold armor. It had been his signature armor for years now. "I think that's telling me I got to go back now." Tony said knowing that peace had come not everyone was going to attack out of the blue. That is unless someone wanted to try it. Someone was going to get punched in the face for playing dumb. Especially if it was one of the villians. For now all he could do was patrol for a bit longer before having being forced back by Jarvis. It seemed like the signs were showing for it.

Kicker leaned lazily against a wall near one of the many shops in the busy sidewalks of time square, watching as the humans came and went. In his hand was a chocolate milkshake he was about the quarter way done with, being what remained of his lunch from one of the fast food joints nearby. Now with being finished with it he was simply watching the crowds go by and almost seemed bored in a way.
What people didn't know was this typical looking young man was no ordinary person, rather he was a mutant and a wicked hearted one at that. Kicker was actually a part of the Brotherhood and set to be it's next leader but for now he had come to New York looking for something to do while Magneto was busy with things on Genosha. So far he had not decided on anything nor found anything interesting, which was why he looked so bored for the moment. A large city and yet there was nothing to do despite what many people said about the Concrete Jungle. It was nothing but an over crowded, noisy place and people certainly weren't paying attention towards a loner. Least maybe a couple of girls his age or a bit younger would stop and try and get his attention and he'd simply grin, bare it, and then tell them to shove off, having no interest in human women.
Though now that he studied the place a grin played across his face when seeing the earth and metal around the place would serve as perfect mediums for his powers and all the noise made him quite a powerful individual right now. "Maybe New York will be my perfect play ground,"He chuckled to himself before Kicker began to manipulate the sound around him to begin shaking the ground slightly at first to cause an earthquake, making several cars coming to a screeching halt and people screaming in terror until it stopped a few moments later. To follow Kicker followed in generating a powerful high pitched sound that caused anyone to cover their ears and a prolonged exposure would surely cause some internal damage to the ear.
What Kicker didn't pay attention to was the fact a certain iron clad Avenger was soaring nearby. Whether or not Tony would be affected was unknown but it was definitely clear people were beginning to suffer the longer the young man continued, being at the moment immune to his own abilities.

Soon it wasn’t long before people started to scream and Jarvis picked up on it, “A heavy earthquake was detected down below sir, you probably want to investigate it.” Jarvis said as Tony agreed, but as always his AI had once again pointed out the obvious. Tony could see all the people screaming and trying to get out of the way of the earthquake that was hitting New York. For one, even he knew that earthquakes were rare in New York City, and they were normally minor ones that people would barely feel unless they were not moving. Something wasn’t right. But before he could say anything else to his AI he saw one of the cars that failed to come to a complete stop as the person in the driving seat tried with all their might to put on a break. “I’m coming!” he called out as he flew down to where the car was and with his strength from the suit he pressed hard on the front, sparks flew from his feet as he tried to stop the car on his own. He grunted several times as he tried to stop the oncoming car and knew that if there was some danger approaching, it would have resulted in a bad accident. There were already a few cars toppled over from the earthquake and some of the buildings shook from the power.
“Come on. This is a really bad day for an accident to happen.” Tony said but after a bit more effort he could breathe a sigh of relief seeing that the car had stopped. He flew over to where the door had originally been seeing how beat up it was and opened it easily so the people could get out. IT was a woman and as well as two kids that had been in it, “Thank you Ironman, you saved us.” She said very grateful for what Tony had done as he nodded back.
“It’s of course what we do. I suggest you get your kids out of here. Whatever’s still here is not going to quit any time soon.” Tony said as he ignited his flight system again and sped off to where Kicker was causing the problem. However he heard Jarvis speak up again but it had been a little too late. “Sir there is a high sound frequency coming your way, turn back!” He called out but it was too late as Tony flinched hearing the screeching sounds that Kicker was creating. “Just who is this? Is it a new villain of some kind?” Tony asked as he tried to scan the area bit even that wasn’t easy since he felt like his hears were starting to go.
“A kid is doing this? I think we need to teach him a lesson and put him in his place…Jarvis activate the rockets on my shoulders. See if that shuts him up.” Tony said as a secret compartment opened up on his shoulders as he aimed the rockets straight for kicker. He wasn’t going to give him any mercy. Kicker had just been at a bad time for trying to cause trouble as Ironman had arrived at the scene. Once Tony activated the rockets, he sent them flying towards him. If they missed, they’d at least stop him from casing so much noise around the area. He was sure a good chunk of the population was going to be deaf for awhile. As the rockets flew forward Tony came into view to where the kid was. “I suggest you stop soon. You’ve already caused him enough problems for these people. Besides you’re just a kid.” Tony said in a stern voice. It was one of the same that he used on his own students in the Avengers building. He could tell that this was probably not going to go well if this kid was far too stubborn to give in.

As Kicker continued to channel the sound waves into high pitched frequencies in which anyone could hear to being deafening his eyes were glowing a teal color. It was no different from his older brother Lance, who's eyes glowed indigo when using his psionic elements but Lance wasn't even aware of their relation yet to which Kicker planned to reveal one day. For now though he was content to cause his chaos there in New York and could see the sound waves jumping off the buildings, echoing throughout the city to which he could easily use to his advantage. It was the one thing that came to being great at being a powerful sonokinesis user, sound waves were found almost anywhere and everywhere, making it difficult to make someone like Kicker powerless. But that didn't mean he couldn't lack sound.
Unfortunately, New York was one of the loudest places one could be and could easily be his domain as much as it would be his mentor's. And he planned to enjoy it thoroughly. So he had hoped. A new sound then began to interrupt the previous sound waves he had detected and seen, turning his gaze slightly enough to see the rockets and barely having time to move behind a building to avoid them and stopping the high pitched sounds which allowed people to relax and quickly get away while they could before anything else could happen.
Behind the corner of the building the young man ducked as the explosions went off from the rockets before he peeked around to see where he had stood now was nothing but rubble. Who had fired those rockets? His question was soon answered by the presence of Ironman who began to quickly scold him like a child which made Kicker roll his eyes as he stood straight and brush some dust off himself, "You really scolding me old man? I'm not one of your little Kid Avengers you can send to time out and correct them for messing up a training session or wrecking a part of the city dude." He countered back, having a smart alec and snide tone. "Besides why should I care what happens to humans so much, you guys are nothing but inferior insects compared to us mutants."He said, looking towards a few humans with obvious disgust.

"Heay I'm not near as old as your mentor that's for sure. To him I'm probably young still." Tony said as he heard Kicker call him old. The thoughts that this kid sounded very familiar to him. Tony had fought Magneto on more than one occasion even though it probably had been very unwise since his entire armor was made out of metal, something that Magneto could take down and destroy almost instantly. However it wasn't a surprise that he had heard those words from Kicker, he had hear them once before from Francis' girlfriend Neila. Did everyone consider forty years old to be really old? "And for your correction we do have students who are mutants in our school. We treat them with kindness and equality just as we do with every student. We've never hurt a student and would never harm them." Tony said but he started to wonder if his efforts on convincing to this child that he needed to open his eyes.
"I have saved many lives in your time, probably more than you can count on your two hands. I also have experience that you'd never hope to have in order to be a hero. But what I can do is give a phone call to Magneto to say that you're wrecking New York. Humans and mutants live here also, they're trying to live in peace and avoid trouble which is what you're doing. Look below you." Tony said as he pointed down seeing some humans that were down below them and as well as some mutants that were there who had been hiding too. Some were obvious and some were not as obvious to the others but he hoped Kicker would at least change his ways around here. And he did realize that he was causing problems with destroying the city. Heck he'd repay everything towards the damages since Tony knew it was his fault. "As for the damage I'd pay with the money out of my on pocket for the repairs. Even if you don't care about that kind of stuff." Tony said knowing that he did care about this city.
"But I suggest you turn around right now. You're making a huge mistake if you try to harm the people of New York." Tony said giving him one last warning as Tony started to charge up his repulsor rays. Though there was hesitation if Kicker decided to change his mind. If not, Tony wouldn't be afraid to give Kicker much more than a few bruises to knock it in to his head. The palm of his hands started to glow a deep red as he charged it up in his suit. The familiar Ironman in his black and red armor was doing something that he'd been doing all his life. Protecting New York and as well as facing off another villain. But this one was from the next generation of heroes.

"Tch, whatever Ironposer. Your still old to me regardless, mean for crying out loud your like half my age by now." Kicker said with indifference still but he could tell this was likely getting under the man's skin which might cause Tony to get annoyed and sloppy. Even heroes weren't without their own perks of a dark side. And still the man kept talking, making the younger man making blabbering motion with his hand as Tony's words were falling on deaf ears for the young mutant, "Equality of humans and mutants? You guys work with the X-men too often Stark, it gets annoying hearing the same thing over and over and as I'm sure you heard that makes no difference to the Brotherhood. You may work with mutants but that doesn't mean deep down one day you'd likely just leave them to rot." Kicker said with no obvious change in his mind.
Though he couldn't help bursting out laughing at Tony's threat to call upon Magneto, making him quite amused. "Who do you think taught me all that I know now Avenger? My mentor would sooner take New York if he could as his own and expand his empire again and the mutants would be ones spared. Humans are an inferior, primitive kind now and your no different. Even with a brilliant mind like your's it's wasted upon a weakling such as you." Kicker sneered, looking towards the mutants nearby, having at first not seen them and knew he'd have to be a bit more careful though he likely wouldn't have minded just leaving the if they weren't smart enough to leave away from humans. But they were obviously scared when he moved towards them, Kicker ignoring the glowing repulsor rays Tony was charing as he moved to the mutants and looked down at them for a long moment.
"I'd suggest you leave, I won't hold mercy on humans and if you want to stay I won't hold back around you as well." Kicker said, his tone firm and blunt and they seemed to looked horrified before they quickly took off before the young man faced Tony and actually concentrated sound waves to his hands. "If your done chatting Stark, because I really am getting bored about hearing about your money and speech of equality then let's get this over with." He said as he fired two concussive blasts.

How ironic it was as he was harming people's ear drums as he seemed to have deaf ears himself. He doubted the mention of the fact that he was dating a mutant would spike Kicker's interest. He was barely old enough to date himself and Tony had been through several girlfriends. But there wasn't anyone like Yuki that was for sure. After she showed him her strength in several events he knew that she could be on her own without his help or his worry. But what did that mean for his own sake? Was he going to get out of every incident alive? But as for the nicknames, he had been called worse by most of the Avengers, half of them hadn't made any sense in his opinion. "I don't just work with the X-men. We form together because we realize we have strength to take down the others like the Brotherhood with combined power. Not to mention the X-Men seem to know a lot about you brotherhood members, the same could be said to us since we have Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch." Could Kicker ever make a change like them? He doubted it would happen unless something happened to Magneto and the Brotherhood.
"I see your own vision has been clouded as well. the Avengers have taken many villains down and most of us are humans or are not from earth. Oh and not to mention we get to clean up your messes that you make on New York while you leave the crime sceen like nothing happened." Tony said but he saw the concussive blasts coming his way, he managed to dodge the first one but the second one hit Tony in the back as he felt his flight system starting to loose a bit of control as he heard Jarvis speak up. "Armor damage is down to 85 percent sir. Should I call the Avengers?" Jarvis asked as Tony shook his head. "No I need to teach this punk a lesson by myself. The Avengers have been through enough with the phoenix force." tony said as he managed to get his flight systems corrected again as he flew towards Kicker and wasn't about to hold anything back. He thought back to the times of where he had fought doctor doom. If Kicker really wanted to see a villain then that was one of them that he would probably not want to meet.
"Not going to hold anything back, kid. If you want to mess with a hero, you've asked for it. I've fought some bad guys that you would probably never hope to meet. The Red Skull, Doctor Doom, Viper, Loki all of which I've managed to stop. And you'll just be the same like them." Tony said as he stretched out his hand and held it back as he prepared to throw a powerful punch right back at Kicker as he pushed it forward with all the strength he had. With the combination of his flight and as well as his speed this probably was going to leave a mark.

"Stark, you really need to get with the times and the changes, the Brotherhood isn't made up of the same members. It's changing along with the heroes, villains are retiring and new ones are taking their places." Kicker said, figuring Tony's information on the Brotherhood was likely outdated by this time. He hadn't probably faced many of the new members very often he figured and likely would here eventually once they had truly established things on Genosha and the hierarchy of the team. Though, he doubted Tony was aware that Kicker was bound to become the next Brotherhood leader when Magneto had said nothing yet of what the status was of that but soon the world would know of all the changes.
Seeing his attacks hit though seemed to make the young man grin, his ego quickly getting a boost. "Seems I'm not just a punk now am I Ironman, seems your having some issues with your systems. I expected..."But as Kicker was talking this time he glared as TOny quickly caught himself and came at the young man, getting him squarely in the stomach faster than he could react and sending the young man flying across the street into a car making him groan slightly before he spat out some blood form the impact. About time the older hero was pulling out punches, he was getting sick of hearing him jabber on and on, which he still did before the punch and he rolled his eyes as forced himself to stand, brushing himself off as he looked towards the black and gold suited Avenger. "That's your problem Avenger, your all talk and rarely all bite."
Channeling the sound waves around him Kicker suddenly sent himself flying at Tony in the same manner, channeling the same energy to his fist and striking towards the man's chest. Luckily, he could enhance his blows and channel the energy for temporary flight but he knew he likely was going to have a bruised hand after.

'Have I really lost my potential since that day with the Phoenix Force? The building hurting everyone was my fault. I had provided everyone a home and I couldn't even keep that promise. It's like I hesitate with everything I do....nothing's the same anymore...I can barely fight a kid...' Tony thought to himself as he wondered what was wrong. The phoenix force had been a traumatic event for just about everyone, it was no surprise that it was going to be bad for everyone. But Tony had guilt, trauma, fear, pain, everything. It was like he had been a veteran that came back from a war. Tony had blocked Kicker out for some of what he had said. The kid was mocking him and he knew that part was true.
But the last few parts he caught as he began to come back to his senses as he realized he was still in a fight. Kicker came charging forward in the same punch that he had done minutes so. However Tony saw Kicker coming close enough as he yelled for Jarvis to do it, "Jarvis activate my Unibeam, now!" he called out as his chest began to glow a deep red as his chest charged up with power. Soon he sent a blast of powerful energy in Kicker's direction to knock him off course. He knew this was going to drain his energy even more but it was going to be worth it. "How's that for a bite?" Tony asked sternly as he looked back to see how Kicker was doing.

Seeing the glowing of the man's chest Kicker quickly rethought his strategy and channeled the sound waves to form a type of sphere barrier around himself. The beam though was strong enough it blasted him backwards and caused the man to barely have enough time to recover, resting a hand on the ground as he slid back slightly from the force. Well that certainly had quite the kick to it, more so than the punch did to which Kicker chuckled slightly, "Definitely more bite Stark, you should consider not holding back like that more often. But then again, that suit of your's can only have so much power I'm sure you can't keep that up forever can you." He chuckled, beginning to figure out eventually Tony would have to pull out of this fight and it was known that Ironman had had to pull out just to charge his suit.
Still Kicker knew he had to be careful, even if he used his healing ability it would only revitalize him for a short time. After that he'd have to pull out himself from exhaustion and be no better than Tony across from him. Now the fact was who would tire out first before one of them would have to retreat? "Alright let's see how you handle this and show you why they call me Soundwave!" He said as he sent out a sonic emission, basically being powerful sound waves that traveled outwards and easily blasted aside cars and other obstacles like they were mere toys.

"Yes but you can't keep it up either now can you?" Tony asked as he heard the boy was a bit surprised by the way he had done things with his suit. His energy beam had sent him into a nearby wall and as Jarvis assessed the damage that had been done to his own suit he had at least been at the 80% range so far. That was still a B as far as he was concerned. Even on 5% power he was still able to do a lot so he had no worries to make out of this one. That was if Kicker decided to do something different for a change.
Tony felt the blast coming his way as he tried to dodge it but that wasn't even easy. He figured out that while he was being hit and knocked there was some way out of this. Before his body hit the ground he spoke up again, "Jarvis activate my heat soaking rocket blasters." he called out as the shoulders opened to reveal a hidden area of weapons that were ready to be launched at the boy. There wasn't one but at least five of them were shot off in his direction before he hit the ground as he looked back to see how Kicker was doing with the weapons. His heart pounded on his chest as his adrenaline was pumping. He wanted this to end soon this kid was being a pain in his back side and he didn't want any part of it.
"Jarvis activate my laser sword now." Tony said as he brought it out as well as a large sword appeared out of his wrist as he began to stand up for another attack. If kicker didn't survive the rocket explosions he'd get a severe taste of a sword that he had created in his suit. "Kid you think you're going to win that easily. I've beaten someone with 5% armor energy reserves left. I doubt you'd ever have the chance of getting my energy down that far before. Only a few have." Tony said as he seemed to becoming back. It was slow but the fight had not faded yet.

"Perhaps not, but I don't give up a good fight when I can still move my body." Kicker told him, not holding back the fact he was indeed stubborn. Despite the fact he would eventually tire the young man was willing to risk every ounce of his energy to take down Tony, or at least toy with him. It was a favorite pass time of his now. Humans were nothing but insects, inferior creatures that had their moments when they could be on equal footing but would never be equal to mutants. This was something Magneto had taught Kicker, and something the young man had somewhat began to believe when he was young. Erik had only strengthened that belief but he didn't feel that they should be hiding and waiting.
Grinning when he saw Tony go flying, Kicker was almost certain he had the older man beat just now. That was until he saw the heat seeking rockets fired at him, making the young mutant immediately making a dash to try and evade them but as per their name they followed him. Though Kicker thought quickly and saw a chance for cover, resting a hand on the hood of a car to slide across and duck down behind, the rockets trying to follow as three of them blew the car while two others just missed his spot and blew the concrete forcing him to cover his head as chunks of metal and concrete rained down upon the villain. But he wasn't down for the count yet as Kicker was soon back on his feet, a little cut up from some of those chunks cutting into his flesh but he ignored the pain at the moment to face Ironman, seeing the laser sword.
A laugh escaped Kicker at that, making him grin but he was panting slightly already, "Old man, I'm not afraid of you. Like I said, I don't plan to leave."He said as he then drew a firearm hidden in his jacket, a small revolver he knew was easier to conceal and immediately began firing a few rounds which earned him some screams of fright as the shots rang out. Kicker's goal was aim for any weak spots in the armor or even a dent and opening, something that might at least give Stark a little pain later and showing Kicker wasn't above not using his powers.

Taylor was speeding down the road on his bike, he had been at the Avengers building when Jarvis said Tony was in trouble. He would have just used his powers to fly to get there sooner but that would weaken him in the long run for a fight. So his bike was the next best thing as he was already used to racing around on it as he loved to feel the wind on his face. Though this time it was not for a joy ride he was on his way to Tony. "Hang on Tony I;m coming!" Taylor said as he raced with the wind And soon he was there just in time to see a boy he had never seen before pull a gun and start shooting. Taylor's eyes grew wide as he got off his bike and the wind started to pick up. And without a word sent a powerful razor wind at the boy hoping to knock him over with a surprise attack and trying to cut his gun in two.

It was clear that the rockets hadn't been too successful on harming Kicker but it was clear that they managed to hurt his wits in this fight. Tony was going to make sure that Kicker didn't forget it so soon and that he'd learn a lesson. Picking a fight with someone was never a good thing no matter who they were. he was going to make sure Kicker learned it soon. His stubborn side was showing and it was clear he didn't care.
"Looks like I just managed to trick you on that one." Tony said as he saw some of the bullets come flying his direction as Jarvis had them marked on his screen. Soon tony deflected most of the ones that got close as he managed to avoid the on coming rounds of slaughter that may have very well easily killed him. Tony glanced back at his status on his armor seeing that it was roughly around 70%. He wasn't too concerned but he still had to be careful.
However it stopped him when he saw someone familiar nearby. Tony knew almost all the Avengers well by this point and Taylor was no exception. He hadn't really believed it just yet that Taylor was the one that'd come and save him. Well he shouldn't say that entirely, Taylor had heavily improved since the last time he saw him and was grateful for that. "Taylor thanks for that save." he said as it was clear he was starting to loose his breath from this fight but he had plenty of more energy that was going on. "And why is everyone calling me old man? Magneto is the old man here." Tony said with a roll of his eyes. That was going to be a nickname of his soon before he knew it.

Despite the fact that Tony evaded or deflected his bullets Kicker used it mostly as a distraction, his mind half concentrating on something else. Now was the time to use the ultimate thing in his arsenal that might give him a short time of an advantage. He was already working to concentrated the sound energy inside his body for now to use his healing power, one that would be temporary and use up most of his energy. One could say it was a double edged sword using his sound energy to not only heal his body but rejuvenate it at the same time for a matter of five minutes. Usually it was enough to shock his foes and at least allow him to strike while he could before making an escape since it left him exhausted from it's use.
"So you evaded a few bullets not like your...Ugh!"Kicker had to drop his gun as the razor wind hit, slicing through his jacket and easily cutting his gun which was now worthless. Looking up while ignoring the obvious pain that struck his body Kicker couldn't help growling under his breathe when seeing Taylor, a little boy who likely was one of the mutants Tony had been speaking of. "A traitor to his kind shows up, well your a little late to the party kid." He said as he finally channeled the sound energy outward into a kind of shell around his body, which encircled the young man with sonic boom-like rings that visibly healed his wounds and Kicker began to look more energetic than he had after fighting with Tony. Luckily, the healing process took a short time and he grinned when he was done, flexing his hands slightly to show he was still ready for more.
"Now that's the stuff, time to get this over with!" He said before he fired a blast of concentrated sound waves towards Tony before turning and firing a second blast towards Taylor. It was obvious now he wasn't playing games, wanting to end this quickly as the time was now ticking.
