Ooc: Time in NY city is about three o' clock in the afternoon.
Bic: "Now that is the last time that I spend my time in side having to have to listen to one of uncle's lectures. He can put anyone to sleep no matter how smart." A voice said as he was climbing out of one of the windows, while Reed had been distracted, Torus had managed to sneak out before he had even noticed, changing down into a small insect with his shift shaping abilities, he would have noticed that Torus had disappeared, then again maybe not. None the less, now he was free as he changed back into a more normal self. In this form he had a few features of the Skrull race such as his pointed ears, but now a days there were a lot of mutants that had odd transformations, so he didn't seem bothered at it at all.
As he got onto the edge of the roof it seemed that he had forgotten something again as he tried to think about it, "Uh what was it that Dad said when he changed into his fire form? Umm...fire something? Flame something? I can't believe I forgot it. Well I guess it'll come to me." He muttered to himself as he turne to face the city streets below an jumped from the window, but as he descended he felt the energy in his body starting to turn much warmer an hotter, eventually enough for it to turn his body into flame just like his father's plasma form. He was in his plasma form of his own having red and yellow colors raidate off of his body. He soon found himself propelling through the air as he looked around the streets.
Were there any bad guys he wondered that needed to be beaten up? Or would he just do some sight seeing. Either way he hoped it was more towards the first one, it was going to be boring while he just waited inside all day and did nothing. He wanted some action. Of course as the saying went, sometimes looking for fights often brought trouble. As he continued to fly around he inspected the streets carefully, occasionally hearing a girl scream out of enjoyment, they had plenty of fans for the Future Foundation, but he wondered if it was more meant for his father. He had always been easier with getting girls than Torus had, according to the stories that he had told him.

Shadow was waiting hidden in the shadow's. His black fur and clothes helped him hide. Even if he was wearing bright clothes he could use the shadow's to wrap around him and keep him hidden from the wondering eye. He was looking for someone to prey on for some fun. it had been awhile since he last captured a human and played with it. The last one had been surprisingly strong and had thrown a few blow's of it's own before he killed her. His bruised ribs had needed time to heal. Now that they where healed he was back on the hunt. Just than he heard some girl's screaming excitedly. Using the shadow's to keep him hidden he ran along the building wall's. Using his sharp claws to dig into the structure and keep him from fallen.
When he reached the group of girls he scanned the area. He saw one of the girls point up in the sky which made him look up. He smiled a mutant. Well this is a good turn of advent's he thought to himself. Using his power's he sent a band of Shadows to him to pull him down to earth where he could speak with him. He wanted to know why human scum where treating him like some hero.

Being unexperienced as he was Torus had not expected the sudden attack, it was almost as if it was an ambush. Someone had been watching him through the crowd of the girls as they saw him in his plasma form. Just that he was simply inexperienced in trying to fight such a power, the shadows continued to bring him down as he tried to fight them. Pulling him as he went, and he tried to hold it back and it wasn't easy. The shadows wrapped around his arms, and legs, even around his torso. As he tried to use his fire powers, they didn't really seemed to be affected by it. Was it because the shadow powers managed to overcome his light? That must have been it, all and all it was an unexpected move that surprised him. "Let me go! I didn't do anything! At least...not that I was aware of! I was trying to just get away from the Baxter Building!" He said as he tried to give his reason for being out. So far though this person may have not been so easily convinced with words. For all he knew, he may have to fight them, even though he wasn't exactly wanting to do it just yet.
Now he knew he was going to be even in more trouble since he left the Baxter Building and was in a fight that he didn't start. It was a definite sentence towards grounding for his parents on a decision that they would make. He was certain of that. He was starting to go even closer down to the ground as he could see some of the faces of the men and woman that were there as he was trying to find out who the person was that roped him in. "Come on. Show yourself. If anything you're a coward not trying to face me!" He added.

Shadow watched as the boy struggled to get free. Once he was closer to him he spoke. "Stop struggling, I'm not here to hurt you only talk." His red eyes and white teeth where the only thing to give away his position. The rest remained hidden in the shadows. He could of hid them as well but he did not fear the kid. The kid was really starting to annoy him. He slashed his tail in annoyance. Once the kid was only a few feet away he withdrew himself from the shadows. "I am not coward, as I said I only wish to speak with you. If I let you go will you be quiet and remain still until I have finished talking?"
If the boy refused to help him he would have to have some fun with him. Or maybe he would just have to threaten his family to get him to do as he said. But first he would try asking. After all he was just a kid. About three years his younger. But still a kid. His tail continued to lash back and forth as he waited for the boy to reply. "And please stop attacking the shadow's. The light from your fire isn't strong enough to destroy the shadows. Light creates shadow's. And as long as there is light there will be shadows."

Ooc: Oh I think I had mentioned that it was pulling him down. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough. Either way I'll edit it.

Bic: "Well you acted like you were trying to ambush me. Anyone could treat that as a form of an attack. If anything you could have been like 'Heay kid why are you all of a sudden bursting into flames and not being caught on fire?' See? Simple as that!" Torus said as he was starting to sound a bit more irritated at this man as he looked back at him. The shadows were still around him but his struggling had grown less now that he knew what he was dealing with. This man seemed older than him, probably by a few more years, but he was far more mature than Torus had been.
But as the man spoke up, about wanting to talk, he had set a deal, it was true about shadows. They relied both on darkness and light to function, and he was only making it worse for himself if he tried to attack the shadows. In this kind of situation he was sure that his mother would have known what to do, since she had an experienced Skrull military background. But himself, not by much so he could only be grounded for now. "Looks like I don't exactly have a choice now do I? Fine I'll put out the fire. But you need to do your half." He asked as he put out his flames so his half Skrull and Human form remained as he looked back at Shadow wondering what he had to say. Though he felt his body being tense still, wondering if that meant something bad was about to happen? Or was it just in case?

"Guys you can say I'm used to doing things a certain way. Plus I need to stay in the darker areas. The bright light hurts my eyes even with sunglasses. So I needed to get your attention. And I doubted you could here me over all the girls screaming." Shadow rolled his eyes. He lightened his grip on the kid so it wouldn't hurt him. But still remained around him encase he tried to flee. "And the reason I didn't ask about the flames is a simple matter. Your a mutant like myself or some version of mutant. Only a mutant could burst into flames and not be harmed."
When the kid began to speak again he shrugged and lashed his tail again. "Of course I wouldn't lie. But just remember try and run and I'll have my shadows wrapped around you before you can say flame on." He laughed softly. Once the kid put out the flames he stepped out of the shadows so he could be seen by the kid. He than released the boy and withdrew the shadows from him. "First off what's your name kid? I can't just keep calling you kid now can I?" A name would give him a bit of advantage. Once you knew someones name you could find them easily what with all the gadgets and gizmos now a days. "You can call me The Shadow I don't have a real name so just call the that."

"For your information I am a half mutant. Not a full one." Torus said as he crossed his arms and leaned against the side of the building as he was looking back at Shadow. As far as he could tell this guy did things far stranger than he would imagine. He had seemed like he wanted to attack him, but all he did was want to talk? He was certainly correct on how he did things differently. It bugged Torus a bit, but all now he could do was play his little game, and once Shadow left, he would probably return back to what he had been doing, since daylight was certainly waisting away. And if night fell his parents would probably be even more worried.
"Well for my introduction my name is Torus Storm. I'm the son of Johnny and Ajya Storm who are members of the Future Foundation group. And I inherited both their powers a few years ago, the ability to shift shape and to turn into a plasma form like you saw there." He said with a soft sigh as he looked back at Shadow. Half of him made him wonder of how he was going to react to what he had just told him. "But I'm used to the kid thing, some of my family calls me that to this day so I could care less. Just don't get me confused with another 'kid'." He added.

Half mutant? How could anyone be half mutant? What was the other half than? He wondered to himself. "Half mutant egh? Never heard of such a thing. So if your half mutant what's your other half? He could tell the kid was a bit confused which made him smile and show all his sharp and pointed teeth. It probably looked more threatening than friendly but that was fine with him. He preferred to be feared than liked.
Storm? Storm? Where had he heard that name before? Once he said who his parents where a bell went off in his head telling him he knew them. But he couldn't remember how. As far as he knew he had never heard of them before. it wasn't until he said they where members in the Future Foundation that he remembered. "Ah I see, than talking to you might be useless if your parents are goody goodies. Though I'll still try it who knows it might still work." He nodded and paced back and forth trying to think of a way to bring forth what he wanted of the boy. He decided to start with his history. "As I said my name is The Shadow. I don't know who my parents are I was dumped at the orphanage. I was teased, made fun of and beaten up all because of my appearance by humans my whole child hood. So when i was about six years old I ran away. I joined a group of mutants who had also gone through the same thing as me. Human's are evil and not to be trusted. They fear what they don't know so they try to terminate us. I want you to join me and form a group of mutant's to make sure that humans can never, ever harm another mutant or half mutant again. I plan to create a group called The Doom Guard!" He would not tell him but if he refused to help him the boy would not return home tonight if ever. He would find a way to force him to help him or at least keep him prisoner and force his parents to pay a reward for his safe return.

"I am half Skrull, my mother and father met during the Skrull invasion that came to earth several years ago. That would explain my heritage since I have two homes instead of one. And with the Skrull's inheritance I gained their ability. I can change into anyone, or anything. Thanks to their shift shaping ability" Torus said not exactly ready to give him a demonstration to this man only if it was neccesary. Though he wondered if he would be able to sneak passed him like he had done with Reed earlier. Though that may be needed as a last resort.
"Join you? Does the suit that I have on not show you that I AM ALREADY am a part of my team. I have no interest in joining another one that seems to think that humans are bad. They just sound like the Brotherhood. And if they don't last long they will fall like the Brotherhood did." Torus said as he spat back at Shadow. So now he figured out why he was all tense from earlier, he was not to trust this guy one bit when it came to certain things. And as he showed the Shadow his suit that he already had on, it was a similar one to the other Future Foundation members had. It was mostly white along with black lining over some areas of his body, and the number seven painted on his chest. For being the seventh member to join the team after his cousins did on his Aunt's side. "So that is a big NO. And if you do try to take me in my parents as well as the other members of my family are all heroes. They will rip you to shreads if they find out that I am missing. They all have powers and are all strong."
Ooc: Funny thing is, if Torus is being forced to join I had a similar dillemma with his father in the old site. He had been forced into a team that he did not want to help. But he's already a part of a team so he'll refuse. C;

The kid had spunk he liked that and his powers would be very useful. Half Skrull half mutant. Very interesting. He could feel the anger and maybe even hatred building inside the kid. He could take him and transport him to a place where his family would never find him. He would have to make sure there wasn't a tracker on the boy of course. Wouldn't do if his parents found him before he could convince him to join.
"That doesn't mean anything to me. Suit or no suit people change there minds all the time. And I hope to change your mind. I'm trying to be nice to you kid. But your making me angry. You do not want to see me angry. I can take you to someplace deep and dark where you will never escape. Or you can willingly leave your family and join me. It would be much easier for you and anyone you care about if you do so willingly." At the mention of the Brotherhood he gave a barking laugh. "The Brotherhood where weak. They didn't have the gull to do it. Not to mention their leader was even weaker than them." He had heard the stories growing up. If he couldn't even beat the X-men than he was worthless. He wasn't willing to kill another mutant to get what he wanted. But Shadow was. He would willingly kill a mutant to get what he wanted. He just needed to form a team first. It may take a while but eventually he would gather a strong team. "Again your parents would never find you where I would leave you. And they would not find me either. That I can guarantee you kid." Before the kid could run off he sent out his shadows again to wrap around the boy. Starting at the feet it would slowly move up until it's legs and arms where bound so he couldn't move.

"That's if I stop you before you send me anywhere. I have my mom's and dad's abilities and I know how to use them. And as for you, you are sick and twisted. Why would I want to join another team that completely opposes the one that I am already on? And I don't plan to join another one any time soon." Torus said as he looked back at Shadow in trying to defend himself through words. However it was too late as the shadows started to grab a hold onto him as he wondered if there was a way to get them off of him, he knew Shadow had mentioned that Light wounded and damaged him, but how coul he get him out of the shadows? Well for now he'd just mostly focus on trying to get these shadows off himself first.
"Fine you want to see my shape shifting abilities, then you've got it." Torus said in an agered tone. He coul care less that Shadow was angered, in fact if anything he was the one who started this mess. As he felt his body move he tried to concentrate on a form that would perhaps be too massive for Shadow to use his abilities on. His form turne more scaley an large as it turned himself into a dragon like creature. Of course being the young boy that he was he did not have the full height an weight of a dragon just yet as he huffed his nostrils to show how angered he was. But still continued to pull more on the shadows to try and get them off of his body.

Shadow was was shocked at first. But than he began to laugh. For the shadow the boy made in this form was on of the biggest shadows he had ever seen. Though he could feel his shadows stretching and in some places tearing. But he just continued to laugh and smile. He gathered the shadows under the dragon and tightened his grip around the wings so he could not fly. "Boy you'll have to do better than that." Gathering more of the dragons shadow's he sent hundreds of bullet sized shadows flying at the dragon. The shadow bullets would hurt but not kill. They where only to drain his energy. He imagined transforming into something like that would take allot of energy. After that he send dozens of small knives and daggers flying at the dragon to try and pry of scales. He wanted to cause the boy as much pain as possible with out killing him.
Twitching his tail he ran along the wall of the building and ran up it. When he was the same height as the back of the dragon he did a leaping spin and landed on the dragons back on all four. He than ran up to back to the neck. Each stem he stepped his claws sank in to give him a good grip than pushed off. Once at the neck he reached behind him to grab his two katana's. "Give up boy for I sure won't until I have you as my own." He hissed much like a cat would when angry. But no he was not angry he was just having some fun. From the neck he jumped onto the top of his head and used the swords to cut at the area just above his eyes. Hoping his sharp swords would cut through the katana so he would bleed. The blood would than hopefully get into his eyes blinding him. He could blind him with his shadows but this would be more painful.

He had indeed noticed that some of the shadows were tearing underneath the new strength that he had created in his form but it looked like that it wasn’t the end. The massive size and strength from his form had not been enough. Being as young and inexperienced as he was, Torus continued to panic, he wanted to step back but the shadows continued to hold him down after realizing what Shadow was about to do next. This man was a monster, even when Torus thought he was one, this one was even closer to the definition of one. He let out a painful roar that rocked the streets of the city.
The pain came as he struck the katanas above his eyes and down his face left horrible cuts that would certainly take a long time to heal. Blood spilled from them as he panicked even more. He had lost his vision and began to stumble even more as he felt his weight starting to sway, as he tried to move he felt his body starting to turn even more and more as it came crashing down. But he knew one thing he was going to crash into one of the buildings. Hurt innocent lives and he knew that was one thing that the other members of the future foundation would have not appreciated. As he concentrated his body slowly morphed back into his human form in defeat.
His blood from his face was already starting to mix into tears as he remained on the ground, body shaking in fear now realizing what a mistake he had gotten himself into. Even with his powers, there were just some that even his own family couldn’t. But he realized now that his consciousness was starting to go, he felt sick to his stomach as he felt the warm blood on his face but he wanted to at least say a final few words back towards Shadow. Would he be willing to listen to this point of what he had to say? He didn’t care he just wanted him to let him know.
“Alright I GET IT. You’re strong, maybe even stronger than me or my family. Just don’t hurt them. Take me as prisoner, torture me, kill me. Do whatever you want. But I refuse to be a part of your team. Just being a bad guy isn’t my thing and it hasn’t been for my life. I could NEVER kill anyone just because…” He started to say as he felt his consciousness starting to go. He wondered now, where the humans starting to be horrified of this moment? Or were his parents watching in horror? What about his vision? Was he going to lose it for good? Or would it come back slowly? So many questions that had been left unanswered and he was about to miss on a lot of it.

Triumph raced through Shadow. When he began to fall and morph back he used the shadows to catch the boy so no more damage would be done. The wounds where not very deep but they needn't be. For head wounds bled allot. He could hears creams of horror from the humans. He knew if he didn't hurry help would come for the boy. Before that could happen he would have to port away. Possibly even out of the city. His energy was starting to wain but he could port still. To the place he wanted to go. He began to wrap the boy in shadows from tow to neck leaving only his head unwrapped.
As he spoke he smiled. "I doubt I'm stronger than your parents. I may be an even match though. Your not as strong as your parents so you where easier to beat. And if you won't help me than I will find another use for you. And no promises about your parents. it all depends on how you act. Now lets go before your parents become wise of what has happened and come to your aid." As the boy passed out he finished wrapping the boy. He did so to protect him for when he ported. He was safe but wasn't sure about the boy.
Gathering much of his strength he stepped into the shadows with the boy and they disappeared from sight just as someone flew above. He appeared in a cave far underground outside of the city. It was lightly lit to cast shadows. He unbound the boy than went to work placing bandages on his injuries. He didn't want the boy to die from his head injuries. What use would be be to him than. Using the chains that where cemented to the ground he chained both wrists as well as his ankles. Once done he place a blanket over him. "If you won't fight with me than I'll use you to get what I want." He whispered softly.
Sighing he walked to his pack and grabbed something to eat. He quickly ate a PJ sandwich than drank a bottle of water. With that exhaustion set on him and he crawled onto his mat and drifted to sleep. He had set an alarm to go off in the shadows if the boy was to awaken and try to free himself.

Torus was in and out of his sleep pattern as he remained unconscious. Unaware of where Shadow had sent him or what he was planning to do with the teenager. However he felt something, something warm, something soothing that touched his skin. He woke up nearly startling himself as he realized where the warmth was coming from, a mixture of things, his own blood and something else that he had not expected, a blanket? Why would someone like the Shadow give him a blanket? It made no sense to him. And he didn’t exactly need one either, he had his fire powers to survive the cold temperatures, and it could heat up his body to a more desirable temperature.
He took the blanket off of him as he shoved it into a nearby corner not wanting to do anything with it. It only confused him to accept gifts from an ‘enemy’. And it couldn’t have been a good idea either. But as he tried to move more, he realized that there were chains binding him down. They clattered a bit silently as he moved, wondering if it was enough noise to wake up Shadow. So he froze in place as he waited to hear if Shadow would move.
Though he did notice what blood was left on his head was starting to dry. There were also several bandages where the Shadow had placed them in hopes of soaking up the blood. Why was he being this nice to him? Or was it only because he wanted him to live? Nothing more? He only got more confused and had the urge to rip off the bandages, it was better for all he knew if he went blind and couldn't see. He knew his parents would have yelled at him if he had removed the bandages so he left them there. He was sure anyways that the cuts would remain as scars for the rest of his days.
For now he could only sigh as he pressed his back against the closest wall wondering if Shadow would wake up any time soon. If not, he’d probably drift back into his own sleep. “Does this….make me a monster now? Or was I one my entire life for being a hybrid?” He asked himself.
